Mandi sat at the table still, wondering where Skotti, Luciano, and Waffle had gone off to. " Doesn't anyone think they should have called by now?"

((G'morning everyone. I might not be on the entire day; Today I have some people over for my birthday.))



The leading officer was now in Skotti's grip, over the building. His fellow officers were already either dead, dying, or fled as soon as Skotti attempted to slit their necks.

He heard Skotti's demand and thought about it hard. He could either be quiet and die, or he would go against the General and spill the beans yet possibly live. Even though he was very loyal to the Gaian Army, part of him always wondered about the General's motives.

"Fine. You want an answer, so be it. I don't know much because the General often keeps his reasons to himself and the Sarge, but what I do know is that it had something to do with the past, and his reason being something along the lines of 'getting rid of the last person standing in his way'. For what? I don't know. That's when he was shutting up about everything. I'm guessing it has to do something with that strange floating thing in the sky that was around a couple of years ago. The General told us that it was a 'threat' and that we had to 'remove it immediately'. So we set up a rocket and blew it up. And then the General told us to keep away from where the pieces of the thing landed at. For the same reason as going after that girl, he still never told us why. But then again, I probably said enough to be shot to death back at the military base."

The officer finished his chance at being alive, but already assumed he would be dead anyways. It didn't quite matter to him anymore, as it wouldn't do any good to go back to base anyways.

The officer got up from the floor of the roof and stood up.

"Our higher in command is Sargent Luke, but the man who gave us the orders is General Mortimer. Those two are the only ones you need to go after, but they have plenty more soldiers at their disposal, and not the petty rookies that you seemed to have shot off. You are very lucky that I have lost faith in the Gaian Army, otherwise I'd have reinforcements already here." the officer stated.

"Now if you'd allow me to get back to my normal life..."

The officer took off the emblem from his own coat, looked at it, and threw it at the next roof over. The badge shattered to bits when it collided with the brick and shingles. He looked around for his duffel bag that he had at the station, and started to leave the roof.

Luciano fell woke up to Doctor Adeline gently shaking him, she gently shook him until he was fully awake. She said to him, "Luciano. . Wake up. We've finished the surgery." Luciano stood up and straightened himself up and then brushed some of his hair out of his face with his hand, "How is she?" he asked. Doctor Adeline smiled and she said "Well, we wanted to conduct the tests with you there but we went ahead because you had fallen asleep. As it turns out your friend knew what he was doing. He was smart enough to cut the bullet out without hitting any of the nerves. I am most impressed." Luciano shrugged, "He's been shot more times than I have. I'm pretty sure him and his wife are used to digging out bullets." Doctor Adeline laughed and then she patted him on the shoulder, her and Luciano started walking down the hallway slowly, "Your friend is in recovery room 725. She needs her rest, though. So you can't go in there now." Luciano nodded then he said "That's very good news, but it's tragic that I can't see her now." Doctor Adeline smiled and she said softly "I'll let you sit at her bedside." Luciano smiled back then he gave the good Doctor a gentle hug and then he said, "I owe you everything. . . Thank you." Oh, there's no need- Actually. . come to dinner with Romano and I. We miss seeing you." Luciano kept his smile "Will do. You tell that man of yours 'Hello' for me." they shook hands and then they parted ways. Luciano headed for Waffle's room.

Skotti found his way into waffle's room, to see luciano, sitting next to waffle's bed. "How is she doing?" he asked.

"Good" said skotti sitting down "When she wakes up, we can see why a group of army snipers wanted to kill her".

"Everyone is entitled to their secrets but this has become a matter of this organization and when push comes to shove, waffle is not one to keep things from us" Said skotti.
"The soldier I talked to said the guys behind the attack was Commander Luke and General Mortimer. I don't know this luke guy but I know the general. He was the General that forced the Blackheart squad out of the gaian special forces." said skotti.
