Xavier stood there, unsure of what to do. What to do, what to feel, what to say? There was nothing. It was like one huge blank, a surronding entity that was captivating and yet ... invisible.
When Summer's behavior became suspicious, he only became even more entitled to the apathy. Of some sort, at least.
Damn it, they really were in for quite a ride. He wondered if there was a way out.
Xavier flinched when a very, very close bolt of lightning struck. It looked like it had pelted the place where the river was. That meant the storm was one or two miles away. Oh God. When it rains, it freaking pours.
... Literally.
It was a while before he even moved from the room, however. It felt like there was nothing he could do, and yet this thought would always be able to counter itself. He wasn't sure what to do.
Finally, he decided to go after Esmeralda. Tell her the truth, even if it meant ... injuries ... ? No way to be sure until trying.
At first, he started walking to the destroyed room. The pranked room, as one might have called it. Right now, he was unaware of his mistake. It just became habit, even after a day.
About five rooms away from said room, he heard voices. There was no way to be sure what they were saying, or who the voices belonged to. But the tension and negative forces that seemed to cut through the air was unmistakeable. What was it?
He didn't know it was Esmeralda and Roman. But sometimes, curiousity just overtook you ...
Trying not to make the door creak this time with as much effort as was possible, he stood in the doorway. The hinge of the door was only a few inches taller than he was, which may have made his height seem intimidating. Usually, he thought this to be an advantage.
When he saw Roman and Esmeralda, he knew.
Just as it had when he found the prank room, Xavier's icy numbness melted away instantly to anger. He didn't say anything, just a curse under his breath. Finally, when he did speak, he actually growled.
Did I interrupt your party? Sorry, but I think you've done enough damnation for now.

Summer had ran out to the barn even though it was storming harder than it had been earlier. She saddled up Shadow and then then led her horse out of the barn mounted up and headed into the oncoming storm not caring if it got worse or got better. She was headed to well she didn't know where all she knew was that she had to get away from the house for the time being. She couldn't name the emotions that were tearing through her even as she headed out of the ranch yard at a hard gallop not even taking time to open the gate but just pushing Shadow until the mare flew over the fence and kept on going. She pushed Shadow to her limits without meaning to that's how unaware of her surroundings she was at the moment. She neither heard nor saw anything so when she finally was able to look around her all she saw was blurred images of trees and lightening all around her. She was completely lost and she knew it. "Well s**t this can't get any worse," but sure enough it did as lightening hit the ground right in front of Shadow and the horse bolted before Summer could gain control.

Roman stared at his sister for several long seconds, looking pale. "You...Hell, Ez. Hell," he muttered. "I..." He took a breath and looked her dead in the face. "What are you going to do about it now?" he asked quietly. When Esmeralda shook her head helplessly, looking as pale and nervous as he, he sighed. "Great. This is just great. I suppose you want to keep it?" he asked uncertainly.
Esmeralda nodded. "I have to," she said quietly. "I know myself, and I know I couldn't stand it any other way. I have to keep it." Her eyes welled up and she looked away.
Awkwardly, Roman hugged his sister and let her cry, his mind still whirling. He just couldn't take it in. It wasn't that he'd thought his sister an innocent virgin...well, okay, it sort of was. He couldn't imagine his sister - his sister - as having any sort of sex life, much less being careless enough to get pregnant. But... It was her choice, and she wanted to keep it.
It was at that very inconvenient moment that Xavier walked in. Roman looked up slowly and his eyes narrowed. He tried to make it a policy not to actively dislike anyone, but Xavier got on his nerves - and the way Esmeralda stiffened when she heard his voice didn't make Roman feel any more kindly towards the other boy. Gently, he released his sister and got to his feet. He was roughly the same height as Xavier, and did not seem in the least intimidated. Calmly, he walked to the door and, gripping Xavier's shoulder, quick-stepped him out of the room, closing the door behind him. Releasing the other boy, he said coldly, "I don't know what you were taught when it comes to manners, but you're intruding where you aren't welcome, and at a very personal moment. Next time, kindly knock."

Xavier clenched and unclenched his fists, refusing to move from his place until Roman led him out. Even then, he remained stubborn. Right now, he didn't know that this guy was just trying to protect his younger sister. Xavier thought he was hiding something - example being, the truth. The hostility wasn't helping, so in turn he grew angrier.
Why should I? Its not like I asked for you to mess up my room. I think of it as repaying karma.
In the most likely sense, he wasn't making sense. Well, in his explosive anger he usually didn't realize that.
He still refused to move, even when Roman told him to leave. Replying only by standing his ground, there was no way he was going away anytime soon.
Right now, Xavier was definitely looking for a full out fight.

The only hint that he was annoyed came in the slight narrowing of Roman's eyes. His room? What the hell was going on? "What are you talking about?" he demanded. "Look, I have no problem with you right now. But the longer you stand here and make me waste my time on you while my sister is in that room crying, the quicker that's going to change."
He didn't move to fight or to defend himself. Roman preferred to avoid physical fights when possible - in the heat of the moment, he often forgot his strength and caused real damage where he hadn't meant to. While Roman didn't like Xavier, he didn't want to actually hurt the guy.

You know damn well what I'm talking about, so stop it. You sabotaged that room, wouldn't you remember? Or have you done the same to all of the others?
Xavier was speaking in a deep growl, mimicking what could best be portrayed as a 'bad cop' act.
There was a visible softening in him, however, when Roman mentioned the fact of Esmeralda crying once more. Had this been the first time of her brother finding out? Something was telling him to back off as Summer had warned him, but anger kept overcoming that. It wasn't going to happen soon.
Why was it that in his anger, common sense became oblivious?
The need to fight or attack was growing stronger with every moment that passed. Neither knew the strength of the other, not just yet.
Noticing finally that he had his hands balled up into fists, he unclenched them slowly and sighed.
Look, I just want the truth.
He ran a hand through his hair and narrowed his eyes again before continuing, Did you guys do this or not?

"Actually," Roman mimicked the other boy's growl, "I have no damn idea what you're talking about." Coolly returning to his usual voice, he continued, "I've yet to be in anyone's room but my own, and you would have to matter before I would bother to sabotage yours - I assume it was yours, as I can't imagine why you would be so pissed about it otherwise."
He lifted a brow when Xavier slowly unclenched his fists. Now entirely irritated with the other boy, he said slowly and patiently, "This is what I have been telling you ever since you got here. Whatever you think I did..." He frowned suddenly. "Who's 'you guys'?" he demanded. He knew he hadn't done whatever it was that was making this idiot act so irrational, but now Xavier was dragging other mystery people into the mix.

(No i don't know what that is care to explain? and i told you i had an evilly plan lol and she wasn't thinking which was the point really lol) Summer tried to control her Arab horse by pulling on the reins to get Shadow to stop but she wasn't having any luck at the moment for the horse was flushed with fear and just keep running until she couldn't anymore. By the time Shadow stopped Summer was completly lost in some sort of woods. She didn't know how far she was from the ranch house but she knew she couldn't find her way back with the storm and dark coming up. Shadow was shaking from her run of fright and was breathing hard her sides heaving. Summer jumped off of Shadow and quickly went to the horse's head to calm her down. Summer stood in the down pour not sure what to do or where she should go. She hoped someone would notice that she was missing but she doubted that would be anytime soon for she had stormed out of the house. "Damn me and my moods. Why can't I control them? Well Shadow girl looks like you and I are stuck out here so might as well see if we can't find a cave or something." Summer began to lead Shadow deeper into the woods.

((OOC: Evana is a mildly mentally deficient three-year-old horse at a stable that I work at. She finds rain, storms, snow and garbage bags terrifying. She is also bloody huge. If you were to take her out in a snowstorm, she would kill you. 3nodding And it's not an evil plan if it only affects you. >.> XD))
