Faith looked over to Shane. "There he is," she said to the woman.

The girl turned around to face Shane, then smirked a bit. She turned around quickly and grabbed Faith by her hair, pulling her between her and Shane. "So tell me Shane, what are you doing with these human brats?" she asked.

"Let her go!" Hope cried and jumped at the girl. She tried to stratch the girl's face.

The girl turned swiftly and kicked out at Hope, putting her whole weight behind it.
But Hope wouldn't have felt it. Shane ran around and knocked Hope out of the way, taking the kick in her place.

Hope then came around on the girl's other side and grabbed her free arm and hung on tight.

The girl threw Faith away from her and with her other hand tried to pin Hope to the ground.
Shane went first to make sure Faith was alright. It wasn't smart to attack the girl before she had trapped herself. He knew she couldn't defend herself once she'd pinned Hope.

Faith hit the wall and crumbled to the floor, unconscious.
As the girl was working to contain hope, a cord with a talisman on it slipped over her head. She would have found herself unable to move.

The girl snarled a little and tried to force her body to move.
Shane knew he couldn't help Faith right then and ran to the demon girl. He grabbed her hair and pulled her off Hope. "Kisa, what are you doing?" he demanded angrily. "You shouldn't have brought the girls into this."

Hope looked up and saw her father standing over her.
"You know this girl, SHane?" the man demanded, his voice very serious.

"Unfortunately," Shane said. "She's my adoptive sister." He saw no reason to hide anything now. Then he grabbed the knife from her hand and slipped it into his boot.

"Then I suggest you take her somewhere she won't get into any more trouble," their father said. "And bring that talisman back to me when you are done."

"It would be my pleasure," Shane replied. He picked Kisa up and walked out of the house.

Their father watched him and then went over to Faith and picked her up. He carried her to her room.

Shane took Kisa to where he'd first sensed her and set her down, pulling the talisman off. She tried to fight him, but he pinned her quickly. "I don't care what your orders are, Kisa," he said. "Go, now. And don't come back here."
"It would be my pleasure," Kisa responded lightly, smiling. She went to a horse she had tethered not far away and rode quickly away.
Shane put the talisman in his pocket and ran back to the house.

Hope stayed with Faith while their father went back into the main room.
