Erian shrugged, watching the others "Things are changing aren't they? Are you upset about it too?"

Valzar shook his head, "I don't understand them."
"Huh?" Arcanon glanced over at his brother. "You mean the fact that they can't sneak out at night anymore? It's one less thing for me to worry about."

Synne shrugged "Me neither.. but I always thought it was because they were boys... but if even YOU don't then... maybe they're just weird?"
Erian shook his head "No not that... just all the changes that have seemed to happen to your home since we moved in. Mom seems to be changing Dad..."

Valzar smiled and glanced at his brothers before whispering, "Maybe..."
"Yeah, I've noticed that," Arcanon said with a smile. "He's actually starting to act like a parent..."

Synne giggled "I don't see the big deal about why they have to sneak out anyway..."
Erian nodded "Yeah... does that bother you... if he starts to parent you?"

"That's because you stay up all night reading," Saber muttered.
"I don't think it would be such a horrible thing," Arcanon said quietly. "I honestly could use a little guidance and some good advice now and then..."

She nodded "Well it would be... I think the hardest thing for me to realize was they couldn't raise themselves and that despite me being more... solitary I needed to raise them and such."
Synne pouted, she really didn't like when they picked on each other.. especially Val since he just seemed to take it. "He can do what he wants. I don't like to read as much as Val but it makes him nice and smart! Erian likes to read too are you going to be mean to him too now?"
Erian gave him a look "Dad's getting better at parenting... no one said anything about good advice..." He glanced at the pitcher "Ok.. time to get out the tea balls and put the ice in."

Saber blinked in surprise at his little sister, "No..."
Arcanon winced, "Oh, and I thought we were harsh to Father." He smile and turned back to the concoction they were brewing, "Ok...um, how do we do that?"

Ro rolled her eyes and poked him "You were just as solitary if not more."
Synne frowned but nodded "Good... then you can stop being mean to Val then."
Erian shrugged "I didn't mean it to be mean... I've never heard him give advice good or bad." He glanced in and concentrated on his magic, levitating the tea balls out. "There.. now we just need ice."

"And I was happy..." Az said. "At least until a certain witch started poking through my shields. Which reminds me, are you ever going to tell me how it is you can see through my strongest fields?"
Saber frowned, "I don't pick on him because he reads books..."
"He just hates me," Valzar said quietly. "Except around meal times."
"Exactly."
"Wow," Arcanon shook his head. "I will never cease to be amazed when you guys do that stuff..."

Erian smiled "That was nothing compared to what mom and Uncle Sal and Godric can do..."

"Don't worry," Saber muttered. "He barely cooks for me as is..."
"It's ok, Synne," Valzar said quietly. "That's just how Saber is."
"I believe that," Arcanon shook his head. "But keep in mind my best trick is balancing a dagger on my nose. Compared to that, anything you guys do is amazing."
