Shadow smiled, "Very few peolpe have entered this place. Only three have and one of them was in a comma at the time. I do not invite that many people into my private study." Shadow said to Maxine and then started down the stairs. Once there he walked along the corridor and lowered the wards that surrounded the door. "Welcome, to my study." He said as he pushed the door open.

Maxine smiled and fallowed him. She walked in slowly looking around at her suroundings. She smirked, "So why me? Why invite me here?"
She only asked out of curiosity. It wasn't that she didn't want to be there. She did. But she was always a curious person which could sometimes get you killed.

Shadow said as he took a seat at his desk. "Please have a seat." Shadow gestured to the seat on the oposite side of his desk.

Maxine bit her bottom lip thinking on what he just said. She slowly sat down in the chair on the opposite side of his desk and crossed her legs quickly while watching him patiently.

Shadow pulled open the top draw of his desk and pulled out a bottle of blood. He cracked it open and took a swig. "So, what do you think? I know it is a little messy with all the books... just about everywhere and all but I think it is cofortable." Shadow said with a smile. He did wish he had cleaned up a little before showing Maxine in but it was only filled with old books writen is some strange lanuages.

Maxine smiled looking around. She smirked seeing a book that looked familiar to her. Why she didn't know. It just did. She blew the dust off it and opened it slowly. the print was in a gold script and the paper was a grayish silver color. Though not knowing the language she began to read it without any troubles. She read a sentence from the book outloud, "Mon Dufe' Decla' Almu'ne." But at the same time it was in a whisper.

Shadow watched Maxine as she read the script that was writen without pause and perfect pronounciation. "Where did you learn to read that?" Shadow asked curiously. He did wonder where she learn to read the lanuage with such procision, When Shadow tried to learn the lanuage he had alot of trouble coping with it and even still couldn't get it perfect.

Maxine looked at him slowly unsure what to think herself, "I...didn't know I could read this."
She read a bit more without saying the words outloud this time, "It says 'Those who are able to read this are either gifted or cursed. Whichever one, you are to find out for yourself.' "

Shadow nodded slightly. He didn't like messing with half of his tomes, especialy after what happened when he misspronounced one word last time. He still got a shiver up his spine when ever he though about what happened. "Well, you must be gifted then if you can read it so well, without any previous knowladge of it." Shadow said but he felt as if something very bad could end up happening with that tome, just like what happened to him with Nagash's tomes. "Do you kow what culture wrote it?"

"In all honesty, I don't know what it means. I have never encountered someone who could do what you just did, especialy with a lanuage that I think has been dead for centuaries." Shadow said as he took a swig of his bottle and removed his pack of cigs from his pocket.
