A gush of blood spewed out from Aella's shoulder, she gasped and grasped at it. Devil magic doesn't heal well.
"Promises, promises," she purred menacingly. Roughly, she dragged the half-elf girl in front of her, one clawed hand aorund her neck, the other close tot he open wound on her shoulder. She licked some of the blood.
Kafele clicked her nails on the wooden floor. "I wouldn't mind." Said with a reluctant air. Her anils had dulled from lack of use these past four years. The skies had been dreadfully dull. She held out a foot, and let Kora get to work.
Kalam had climbed the tall stall door and lay dangling from his arms, watching. If this young elf girl could handle Kafele's temper, maybe he could speak to owan about showering her the rookery. They hadn't had a new recruit since they had rescured Demmerage from a sinking ship.
After getting her nails done, and feeling very good about that, Kafele instructed Kora on how to scrub down the scales, moisterize the wing membrane, comb out the thin spikes that covered the base pf her neck, chin, and cheek. Overall, she got a good going over.

She moved her own hand slightly, running it along his abs and pecs watching them to see if he was reacting at all. Sevilin was a funny elf and most of the time she wasn't sure if he was aroused or not. It made her smile to hear the nickname he'd picked out for her. She remembered a few years ago when she'd bristle at the mere sound of it. Now it was like an old friend. "Well, I pronounce you well enough to head home whenever you choose. The only thing you've got to watch now is your throat and if you keep taking the saltwater potion mix that should be fine in another day or two. Piper on the other hand..." Yeah she wasn't getting into that. "Did Arthur seem...off in the fight to you?" she asked hesitantly not sure how he'd take talking about Arthur in this sort of situation.
"But all elves can do that. That's what Daddy says. I've seen Mommy play with ice and water and shake the ground and Daddy throw fire at her too." Temperature didn't bother him too much so he just watched and then nodded. "Then Mr. Malik won't yell at you anymore for not doing what you're supposed to." He glanced at Malikhai and said, "My Daddy can change places in the blink of an eye. He just poofs and he's halfway across the Underdark." That was the coolest thing in the world to him.

Muscles twitched involuntarily under his skin at her light touches, reacting to the feeling rather just ignoring it. He sucked in a breath, letting it out lightly in the form of a rather content sigh. But he let his head tilt down some, seeing as her head was on his chest and he was trying to look at her somewhat. "If you want to stay here longer, then you can. I know you'd worry about Piper." The healer in her, it was cute sometimes. Though that was an odd little question then and he raised an eyebrow, leaning his head back against the pillows again. "Arthur always seems off in his fighting to me. What kind of off do you mean?"
Again still not impressed. "Daddy says necromancy is magic of life and death and that it's not all bad." Even if he didn't like it any more than Arthur did but he was still a toddler, who knew. A look to his friend. "My daddy can talk to souls." Thus putting his hand out, letting them grow green a moment with energy before placing them near the ice chunks, making them move a little and such. "See, I can do it too."

Opps. okay don't try that again. so..little red shards went shwoering like someone had throw a rock in a glass window..aiming for laudi's wings.
"I gave you fair warning."
that was being followed by Onyx himself, thinking to tackle her and throw her away from Aella long enough for the girl to seek medical aid from someone who would have better luck than him.
Malik leaned back some.
"Perhaps. but I don't see how becoming something greater than a human is dishonoring thier memories. but then again I was never raised by humans. I'll probably just need to have a nice long and civil talk with him. figure something out that works for both parties that can be adhered too. You've been rather helpful, Lharika. feel free to get yourself any kind of treat you want for a dessert."

Arthur smiled a little bit and chuckled. "Yeah Sevilin's teleportation spell, it's pretty handy for him, sometimes I wish I could learn it but I'm happy with what I got going for now." He said as he rested back against his bed. Though a look at the blue drow and he smiled a little bit. "Yeah I don't mind Malik's necromancy...it's just not for me to learn." He didn't mind it, it was magic after all but he saw some of the things that come out of it, surely not for him. Though he had to grin again when he saw that Malikhai can move the ice. "Yup that's a good thing, at least you can control the elements when the time comes, but you should learn how to do so first." But he could tell that the boy wasn't impressed with his skill, oh well he tried really. "So what did you guys learn today again? I watched you and both of you seemed really happy while down there."

Zykariel quirked an eyebrow. That was a silly question now wasn't it? "You were there and you can hear Mr. Arthur, you should know that already. Did you forget? Daddy says elves can't forget, how come you can?" Don't you just love the child like questions that would come out of that? And a shake of his head. "It's translocation Mr. Arthur." He liked specifics too sometimes. But he gave a sigh. "My magic is still mean to me someimes."
Yeah he got a blink from Malikhai too on that question. Silly Arthur as his mother would say. "I don't like it either right now, daddy says maybe I will later but right now I don't want to do bad things." He pouted a moment. "I can't be a shadowknight like daddy if I don't do necromancy."
Hm, how long had it been? Then again...she didn't really care. Oh yes she as indulging herself in a tub of hot water, soaking up to her eyes...and she knew it would be a bad thing if she didn't take the child off of Arthur's hand in a reasonable amount of time...but oh it felt so good to just sit there like that and pretend nothing was wrong or could go wrong at all....then again she could merely say that it didn't matter if she went over an hour because well...Arthur owed her in chores anyway. Babysitting was a lucrative deal for the other elf, even if he didn't know it. Sitting up some, she one again let her head lean back against the edge of the tub to stare at the ceiling. Why did she have to feel guilty if she didn't watch her time? This was ruining her nice little bath experience. That made her frown...she hated feeling guilty over something so stupid. Yet here she was...doing just that and it had probably only been a half hour...how positively irritating. Well...now this was ruined for her wasn't it? Thus meant Piper giving a defeating sigh and then taking to actually washing herself up before getting out and drying off. Was it too much to ask? Right now it was. Okay new plan...she'd just get herself up tonight when everyone else was asleep or in reverie and indulge. But for now, it was pulling on a robe, nevermind clothes for now, and drying her hair, braiding it back and then starting down the hall to fetch her son.

Arthur shook his head a little. "The reason why I ask is because I want to see what your views were on it, both of you were having such a good time and your views are different from mine you know." Kids, they sometimes bugged him a little, always with the questions and whatnot. "Though trust me my memory is as good as yours." Another smile to that and he chuckled at little Z's correction and nodded to him before looking at Malikhai and again nodded. "Well then if that's the way things are going to go then that's okay, though it's nice to see that you will be following in your dad's footsteps, you'll make him proud." Yeah he could see these kids growing into fine examples of their parents, they got a lot to experience though that's for sure. Though his ears twitched as he believed he heard someone coming down the hallway, maybe it's Piper who knows?

"It was fun." Looking to his friend and then Zykariel nodding back and apparently that was both of thier answers on the subject. Children...they could be so simple or complex at some times couldn't they? Who knew what kind of mood they were in. Though he beamed at the mentioning of making daddy proud. After all, wasn't that his current goal in life? But of course.
Back to the children for her and she merely stared at Arthur's door a moment before making sure he robe was secure, knocking lightly, waiting three seconds and then letting herself in. Though a blink at the little drow there. "What are you doing here Zykariel?" Giving Arthur a sort of 'sorry' look.
"Mommy and Daddy are busy with each other, and I told them that you said I didn't need another bath today. Daddy almost didn't believe me. So I came to find Khai and he was here, so I'm here too. Did you have a nice bath too Miss Piper?" Giving her a smile he had gotten from his father.
She stared a moment. "Yes, I did. How about we go...do something...else and...leave Arthur alone hm? After all he's trying to study like a good student and I'm sure he can't do that with you two giggling about things."
He was all too happy to grab his book and bound off the bed to his mother, wrapping his hand around hers and nuzzling against it as well. Ah mommy. "Can we go play in the nursery now? I wanna play knights." Looking over to his friend to get a nod of compliance with that plan and then waiting for a nod from his mother before they both went scampering off.
Piper's robed self was left standing in Arthur's room holding Malikhai's little study book which she thumbed through and noticed he hadn't done anything in it. Couldn't she at least get a page? No. But she shook her head and pinched the bridge of her nose before looking to Arthur as children vacated the room. "I'm sorry Arthur, I didn't think Zykariel would be back so soon. I know they're quite the handful when together."

Arthur blinked a few tiomes and shook his head, childeren they are like this all the tim huh? Can give you a whole story about one thing they saw but when it comes to something like a lesson they would give you a simple one word answer. Though his ears twitched when he heard knocking and he knew then it was Piper before she opened the door, but when he saw her look he gave a shrug and a small smile before he was able to relax. But he kept quiet as the older elf soke to the two boys, well he knew Piper would make a good mom and he was right, though once the little guys left it was jsut him and Piper in the room; though there was a pause to her comment as Arthur got up and saiod to the serf that she could go before turning back to her. "Hey it's not a problem, tried to show off my magic but it didn't impress them at all." A small chuckle to that as he wandered over to his closet and pulled out a shirt, though as he started to put it on he had to ask. "So what's your thoughts on me wanting to go to Andal?"

Piper shook her head again, lightly crossing her arms. "They have high standards sometimes when it comes to being impressed." Though that was easy enough to understand, after all, look who those boys looked up to and it didn't take much to figure anything out. Piper watched him a moment as he asked his question, one hand absentmindedly finding its way to her halved ear to brush over it at the mention of Andal. But what a bad question to ask. After all, it was a touchy subject. "I think...that it's good that you want to see the surface and such, after all you're a surface elf. Though Andal is quite dangerous to outsiders who don't conduct themselves to planes regulations. Most closed planes are like that. I think that you should really think hard on this decision you're trying to get made in your favor."

Arthur sighed as he slipped the shirt over his head, then soon enough his arms went through the sleeves and it was on; though he looked at Piper for a second, not in a bad look just a calm look of sorts, before he decided to speak. "I know it's going to be though up there Piper, even just leaving this plane and heading into theirs will affect me a lot. Other than that all I have to worry about what I can do up there, which is why I would of asked Isle to be my guide; as I said in my...talk with Malik the last thing I ever want to do is put a bad mark on this house and on Kieran." A small sigh as he grabbed some socks and sat down on his bed, putting them on before he looked at her again. "You are lucky, you came from Andal, I couldn't go when you and Malik were getting married so this is a good chance for me. My parents came down here for some reason and they got killed leaving me to be raised by humans; and from what I've heard we don't keep records of family history so I can't really find out about the Coldiron family now can I? The best I can do is see the land where my parents came from, the land I should been born and raised in. It's what I owe to them." He then began on his boots and when he finished he stood up and put his hands in his pockets. "This may seem like it has all to do about my eye but that is just a part of what I am going for, I want to see our people's land Piper, but also even though I may not be able to find anything, I want to see if I can also find out about my parents." He said this of course in a non threatening voice but as someone who was filled with hope, who has missed out on something so important in their lives that he had to go as if this was a rare chance.

She was fascinated that he was actually reacting and her brushing continued in the same vein though slowly moved lower and lower playing beneath the sheets. She nuzzled her head against his chest and pressed a kiss there then echoed his sigh. "Piper's not a big fan of bedrest and pretty soon we are going to be at each other's throats. Besides, I miss being in our house with just you and Kariel. I miss cooking for you too." Nibbling on her bottom lip as she recalled the fight, she shook her head. "I don't know...he just seemed. Well for one thing he was letting his emotions rule him or he never would have charged me that quickly. But I can't figure out what it was that was eating him up so much. I'm probably just overanalyzing...."
Lark nodded to Malik and then giggled. "I don't think I could eat another bite if I tried but thank you Malik. Daddy Kieran would say that I had dessert before I ever actually ate." She slipped off the chair and headed up the stairs to Isle's room. Knocking on the door, she whispered, "Daddy Kieran? Are you in there?"

It was perhaps a little odd for her to be blatantly called a surface elf as Arthur categorized her with them. She hadn't felt so in quite a long while. But she shook her head at him again for a moment...there seemed to be a misunderstanding here. "Arthur, you're not from Andal. I know not a single Coldiron. Very few leave Andal at all. Labyrinth once had a surface...centuries ago, but that's nothing to an elf. It's more than likely you're from here nad your parents fell to the underdark with everyone else. You're not going to find anything on Coldirons in Andal...I'm sorry, but you're not. Just as there are many an underdark, there are many a surface too." The truth had to be told to him, even if it was a bit crushing to tell him and waht not. "Believe me when I tell you that Malik is only trying to protect you. He too thought that he would do fine in Andal...he was a wreck for weeks, and his actions caused my father to end up in prision. One slip from you and they could throw Isleandra in jail, they could even kill her. This is a serious matter...he's not trying to be mean, he wants to be safe." A pause. "And yes, I am from Andal...but that does not make me lucky...those on Andal can be rather judgemental. You yourself will not be accepted among other surface elves at first glance because your eyes are blue."
Eyes half closed and he seemed a little more mellow as he let her play as she wanted for the moment. After all, it was good to try and be comfortable with new things wasn't it? Indeed. But he gave a soft laugh at her statement. "Believe me, we miss eating what you cook. Things have been bland and repetative for a while and I think even Zykariel is tiring of it."
But he thought a moment on what she was saying. "I noticed that part...I think he was working out agression and though you would stand up to what he needed to work out...or he was looking to get over you some in that anger. Malik was yelling at him earlier and the boy is quick to anger. Why does it bother you?"
Kieran happened to be stepped out of Isle's room just as Lark came knocking and he scooped the girl up in his arms, starting down the hall with her. "Shh, Isle needs her rest now. What are you up to, not causing trouble or weedling cookies out of Malik are you?"

She took a page out of his book and started working with those patterns. They were actually quite nice when it really came down to it, now weren't they? Yes indeed. "Well, you won't have to worry about it any longer. I'll be back and cooking for you every single meal, even those you aren't there for. I'll even make you steak as long as you give me enough notice to get the ingredients." She gave a sweet smile up to him knowing exactly how much he loved steak. His favorite food in fact, as much as Zykariel loved his chicken nuggets. "Well...he ripped out my navel ring and didn't even seem to care. He just seemed rather focused to the point of getting in a low blow and that bothered me. I would hate for him to go after someone else in his state of mind and feeling because he would end up getting his a** handed to him. I went easy on him, you know that..well except when he pissed me off. Then I just wanted to end the fight and get out of there."
She grinned and tangled her fingers in his much shorter hair. "No. He asked me about Galesen and I told him the truth. Then he said I could have any dessert I wanted but I turned him down. I didn't think you'd let me have anything else since I had cookies at my party."

Arthur jsut stared at the elf, listening to her quietly as she went on saying that he was probally from here after all since his partnets may have fell to the underdark so long ago. Gee thanks Piper... He thought and sighed lightly though he grunted lightly when she told him that Malik was trying to protect him, yeah right everytime he tried to talk to that drow he always did something or said something that was against him. "If Malik wants to protect me then why doesn't he come out and say it instead of going at me like he did before? I apoligzed for yelling at him, I knew I stepped out of bounds and he still went on they way he did. But I know that when I go up there I'll be spending most of my time in a bed, it's no picnic from what I head but I'm willing to go through with it." Though he paused lightly and sighed a little bit. "If I can't find out anything about my parents then going up there seems really selfish doesn't it? I thought I could find something about my family and now I can't." Crossing his arms he closed his eyes and sighed a little, he did not want to stare Piper in the eye. "With the way you guys keep on going about all of this then there is no point of even going up there at all is there? Getting sick, all the judgemental people, the probablity of getting Isle killed; is there anything postitive of even going up there for?"
