Mu shook her head "Oh no they like to be taken seriously. They are just as proud and stubborn as the elves are viewed to be so its no surprise they argue a lot. But the dwarves are very good at mechanical things anywayand they've been getting a lot better and faster probably to compete with their moogle competitors"

Hebal smiled shaking her head at Jeckhart "It's ok really, sure it makes loud noises bad but it has some perks too. Like makes it easier to keep track of mischevious daughters and avoiding mean people and stuff like that"

Amane gasped surprised to see suddenly the shiva and ifrit battling in the sky "Wow... demons must have pretty strong magic to make stuff like that happen with the fireworks, its so cool" she cheered bouncing happily on the spot like her mother usually did. "You must be used to only the best in the palace so I look forward to anything I get from there"

Runide mumbled under her breath unconvinced by Zadina's explination before letting out a small meow to change the subject "So what is this palace thing you speak of? Is it some kind of big resturant all the elves go to eat in town?"

Gil grunted not quite happy with being teased for being a couple "Alright alright we're coming" he said moving through the notably emptier bar on the way back to the main street "Shouldn't we just wait somewhere for it to come by?" he asked Satoshi.

Jeckhart nodded looking at Amane "I doubt Amane was that mischevious she seems like a nice enough girl" he said applauding as the Shiva and Ifrit fireworks faded into sparkles "Though you are right Miss Mu, I imagine if the dwarves and moogles ever worked together they could make some mighty fine things" he said.

Zadina nodded "Demons unlike most races are all born with some degree of magical ability most races here have to learn it, even elves no longer have innate magical powers, sure elves have an affinity for it and almost every elf can learn it but we still have to be taught it these days" he said to Amane "The Palace isn't a restaurant, it's where the Elven King lives so he has really high quality chefs because he's so important is what I meant Runide" he said with a giggle.

Satoshi snickered having to hurry to try and catch up with Hitomi. "I think she's just excited to get to the front of the crowd for the parade and Ranmaru has a soft spot for her too so he'll be happy to follow. We dont get parties like this any other time of the year so cheer up nothing wrong with couple things" she added having noticed the grunt.

Mu laughed glancing back over at Alpha "Nah he's really not bothered by fireworks. Showing a fire demon fireworks is like showing a gria a picture of the sky. It's more nature than a nice little luxury for him. Probably had enough of them when Psy used to do them indoors anyway."

Hebal giggled "I'm sure you did fireworks too at some point growing up. I bet its what all the little fire demons do" she told Mu not noticing Jeckharts reaction. "And you never know what can happen in a short amount of time. Less than a year ago I didn't know any of the people I'm travelling with so you might meet someone"

"I suppose so but I'm sure theres stronger smaller fire demons than Alpha, he seems rather physical to me rather than magic based" Amane guessed also amused by Runide. "Do you demons really fear elves that much? I'm sure they wouldn't refuse you entry just for being a demon. They let Alpha and one of our other friends in after all and hes way scarier looking than you"

Runide paused laying down on her back on the ground "Well thats good at least but a lot of demons feel threatened by the amount of magic some elves have. But on your topic of magic, Runide doesn't really have any at all. My kinda demon aren't very magical in the slightest"

Gil nodded "Just not used to it I suppose but yeah I imagine your work would keep you a bit busy for things like this" he said following Satoshi ignoring the peculiar looks he got in the crowd "Surprised there's still a restaurant open at this time really but perhaps we should've ate something at the bar" he said.

Jeckhart frowned "Well I guess so though that doesn't sound especially safe, I imagine it'd be fine for fire demons but you'd destroy a lot of furniture if you did that" he said.

Zadina kneeled down resisting the temptation to tickle Runide's belly "Are you sure you don't have any magic? Can't you transform in some way?" he asked surprised "That still counts as a kind of magic, there's a lot more simple things than the stuff you find in spellbooks" he said.

Satoshi shook her head resisting the urge to steal a seat from there "Well its good business if people can sit and eat hot food at this time of night with a lovely meal to go with. I'll even buy you something if you want, my treat" she offered providing him with a hug also ignoring the odd looks.

"Oh dont worry about those guys, they just arent well travelled. That or they are secretly super fans and admirers and want all the attention from you Gil but they wont bother you" Hitomi assured them.

Mu scratched her head cofused a moment "Why would settling down in this world make it less problematic? I mean theres always multiple environments for us to live in during the demon world and from my knowledge pretty much all demons who migrated here were people who sympathised with anyone here during the war time"

"Well the climates aren't as bad here I would guess. I mean I think Alpha said he was raised along with a whole community of fire demons inside a giant volcano which wouldn't be ideal for your mum to live in. But I have seen pictures of the demon world some of it even looked somewhat pretty" Hebal recalled.

Runide shook her head unconvinced "Mum always told me the best way to explain transformation is that its like swimming. While a lot of people can do it, there will always be a small amount of people that cant and how good you are at transforming is based on how good your magic is. Just like how faster and stronger swimmers tend to be the more highly physical of people" she explained only now noticing the chocobo "Cute pet though Im guessing he's not for eating. No offence to your bird but I should keep away from him because a part of me kinda wants to pounce on him. Demon instinct is a pain sometimes"

Amane cheered, her attention siddenly brought back to the big flashy carbuncle in the sky that matched her doll before finally realising what Runide had just said. "Huh, oh your kind eat birds don't they. But thanks for considering that and being honest" she frowned petting Merric and offering to him her finger to have a nibble on.

Gil chuckled "Guess that mean's you've got quite the catch then" he said nuzzling Satoshi while petting Enkidu to sit beside him as the music began "I take it Hitomi is a big fan of the Dragon Festival then?" he asked.

Jeckhart shrugged "I didn't mean environment wise but people in this world don't have some of the same problems as a demon partner. For example no one in this world generates fire automatically to set fire to furniture all the time" he joked "And only some areas are nice over there and even then they still have their dangers, one of the reasons for the war long ago" he said.

Zadina emitted a small "Oh" surprised as he scooped Merric back up into his robes despite the chocobo's protesting "Well no I don't think we have any plans to eat Merric but he's probably about the same age as you being a little kiddy" he giggled looking up at Carbuncle "Carbuncle looks so cute we'll need to make him one of your first summons if we can" he said to Amane.
