Cattra Nightblade Allegro Zephyrkitty More or less. It's good because it blocks the insane users from requesting really crazy things, but it's annoying from the average user's standpoint. Back in the day users had more influence. Hence the Ninja Headband and the Katana. indeed, but also back in the day the users were loyal and low in numbers. And you say they're not loyal now? In terms of donations, Gaia's healthier than ever. The reason users had more input is because Gaia was such a work in process. It had really set up a tier system of moderators or any real corporate structure, so more or less there was more direct interaction with users. The user run galas and balls, for example, were a perfect example of this. My best friend in real life and I were involved with that, and he took ******** Noraboo to the ball. (Who's like one of the longest tenured mods/admins Gaia's had.)

But there wold be Gaia judges to whittle out the stupid crap just like in the little item contest, and then the users would vote on the best of the best. Good point. An EI contest would be amazing.

That is more suffering for them anyway. Stupid infidels always ruining everything.I fear the same thing is happening to the video game industry. They have lost touch with gamers, and now it is about making money. It is that exact reason Sakurai left HAL.

The thing I would worry about with an EI contest is that it would kill the suspense. Would we know anything about the final poses, or any of the other poses?

I mean, after all, we get pumped about items like the infernal spirit just because of the name.

We seem to get those with a lot of the newer EIs anyway.

The majority of users will vote for stuff with names like Death Whisper, Infernal Spirit, Demon Dark Death Doom Fire Flame Fear Sword Ball. We would never get anything really creative unless the judges got sick of those items too. I am so sick of demonic items and evil stuff that I could puke the freaking T virus.

If there are several thousand entries of 'Dark Demon Death Sword', they'd probably either pick the best one among the entries or throw them all out.

The user to influence ratio got ******** over when the user amount rose so high. More people, harder to get a voice to listen to.
