((Your sentences are a bit awkward Kouji, plus you miss words.)) Polwag stood hsi ground, but it was clear that Dokon's anger was too much to be taken down by a hypnosis, at least at the moment. Poliwag took the full charge of the attack, his tiny body no match for the massive bulk of a charging Tauros. Poliwag sailed through the air untill he hit a tree, causing the bark to splinter from the impact. But Poliwag didn't seem to care as he got up and shook off the attack. "Not bad, Poliwag, Ice Beam! Aim it at the ground near Tauros' feet!" Poliwag gathered energy in his body and let it all out in a full blast of ice energy, freezing the ground over and causing ice spears to rise from the ground by Tauros.

"Hm," Nina said, eyeing her competition, "interesting. Mimien, I want you to create a Light Screen! Bring up your special defense so that you can't get hurt! Anastasia, use Ice Punch on that Mawile-- see if you can freeze it before it gets a chance to strike!" With a nod, both Pokemon began their turns. The mime closed his eyes and extended both arms out in front of himself, and began to perform a pantomime action. Unbeknownst to him, all three trainers were watching him perform his actions, and due to his motions he was attempting to convince all three humans that a mystic barrier existed, when originally, it really didn't. After a persuasive getsure of walking forward and falling back, Mimien had convinced the trainers that a barrier truly existed... And then, it came true-- a transluscent wall really did form in front of the mime.
So, it IS true. After Mr. Mime convinces people that something unseeable exists, it takes shape... While Nina was thinking to herself, the gypsylike Pokemon rushed forward, her blonde hair swaying similarly to her trainer's used to. Around her right hand a cold mist began to form, and crystals formed at each of her fingertips, before the Jynx's hand completely dropped to a freezing cold temperature. She took a swing towards Raimundo's Mawile...
But he had other plans. "Lulu, I know this is going to hurt you a little, but use Crunch on that thing's hand, now!" With a quick nod, Lulu waited until Anastasia's icy hand was in range --which, in reality, was about a split second later-- and she whirled around, clamping her large jaws onto the appendage. Anastasia wasn't expecting that type of reaction at all. While, yes, she had inflicted some damage by wriggling her trapped hand around inside the Pokemon's tightening jaws, she was the one being hurt more-- her weakness to a Dark-type attack made for a bad amount of damage inflicted to her, and with no time to react to the attack, that had only made things worse.
Realizing that this was her opportunity to attack, Whitney seized it. "Okay, Kitters!" she exclaimed, the Delcatty perking up, "Use a Faint Attack! Hit that Jynx again, like, before she can get away!" With an affirming fffnyaaa! the cat rushed forward towards the still-trapped Anastasia, but disappeared just a foot away from her. The Pokemon looked around, confused, trying to find her new attacker and simultaneously trying to get free from the psychotic Pokemon that was more or less eating her hand. Kitters reappeared a few moments later, slamming into Anastasia with such an impact that she had forced the other Pokemon free from her confines, and tumbling to the ground.
Quickly scrambling to her feet, Anastasia rushed back towards Mimien, hiding behind the Light Screen he had made. Nina felt like doing the same thing, just hiding behind something, because this was only the first turn and she was already beginning to lose.

*I'm sorry I'm preoccupied with other things.*
Dokon slipped and smashed into a ice spear shattering it. "Damn" cursed Kouji under his breathe. Taking in the situation Kouji realized he was going to have to change his battle plan. Looking at the Dokon he shouted. "Dokon, keep your head down, we're going to need to wait this out." Dokon stomped his front hooves and shook his mane, while Kouji's mind race trying to figure out a plan, or something to help his pokemon.

"Heh, so you aren't as dumb as I thought. I'da figured someone with a dumb beast would be one themselves. Oh well. Poliwag, Lets give 'em another Iec Beam, make this a good one." Poliwag nodded and gathered energy, much more than before. As the energy collected, a glowing white orb formed infront of his body.

"Thanks," Kasiya said, accepting the shirt. She watched Keegan for a moment, and when she was sure he wasn't going to take a peek she slipped the green vest from her shoulders and pulled her shirt over her head, quickly replacing it with the fresh clean one she'd been given. She put her vest back on, noting that the sleeves of her new shirt were much longer than before, coming down to just past her elbows. "Okay, I'm decent," she nodded. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Ariel yawn, and she wondered what had become of Mike. "I hope Mike doesn't think something happened to us," she said suddenly, folding her dirty shirt so the dampest parts were inward and sticking it into her bag. "I'm starting to think that we should just let him go on ahead without us," she said, toying with the pendant around her neck. "I probably should be training the Pokemon I have now, not going out and catching new ones." She thought of Nina then, feeling a pang of guilt at the thought of her good friend waiting for her patiently inside the Saffron City gym. She's gonna think I totally bailed on her, she thought, taking her PokeNav out of her pocket. "Should I just tell Mike to go on without us?" she asked, flipping the device open and looking up at Keegan. "Unless you really want to go to Verdanturf."

"It would probably be best just to let him go," Keegan mused, shrugging. If there was still any remaining strife between them, he knew it would be best to continue to give Mike his space, and somehow his old childhood friend would come around someday. But perhaps, Keegan thought, closing his eyes and sighing as he tucked away the first aid kit into his backpack once more. Perhaps if I would have tried harder, maybe I could have gotten to him before... before... Guilt hung over his head like a dark cloud, but he did his best to brush it aside. He didn't want their mutual friend caught up in their disagreements. "You can go if you want to, though. You did seem rather excited about that fossil." He smiled then, looking up at her. "Besides, I might head back to Goldenrod and see if the gym leader is in. Maybe a shot at a Johto badge would lift my spirits."

"Now before we even go out there I want you to know a few things. First off you always have to keep an eye out for cheaters even if you are not working out on the floor. Secondly a lot of the customer's are jerks, just do your best to be friendly. Most of the time they don't know what they want, so if they ask you to make something that we don’t have instructions for just mix some stuff together, if they complain just tell them that’s how we make it. Oh yeah and if anyone ever gives you trouble we have an arena that we do pokemon battles in, people can bet on that to. Some people just pick fights for that very reason. Since you are new that might happen to you a lot, you just give them hell. If you win then sometimes they give you a cut of the money they make. You got all that?" Leon asked. Not waiting for Dante to answer he clapped him hard on the back and laughed. "I am sure you will do fine! Now follow me and I will show you to the bar."
Following Leon who lead them out onto the floor and over to the massive bar that took up half the smaller wall. There wasn't anyone else there and a small sign that rested that read, 'Back in ten.' Leon went over and pushed the side of the bar counter up and let himself and Dante in. Seeing all the alcohol Dante's dark eyes widened. He had never really mixed drinks before and he was extremely glad that he saw a bunch of recipes on the back of the raised part of the counter. Looking over at Leon who was pulling down the sign and putting an apron on around his waist. "So I can't gamble but I can get people drunk?"
Leon just laughed and tossed him an apron to tie around his waist. "You sure can. Now study up we don’t have much time until the evening crowd starts." Leon said before patting Dante on the back again and laughing.
"Thanks." Dante said as he did his best to pick himself up after the hard pat. Turning to look at his bow tied pokemon he smiled at him. "Kenny can use go look for as many coins as you can?" The small ghost nodded before disappearing to go do as he had been told. Smiling slightly Dante turned to study the drinks on the recipes before him. DANTE'S COINS 0/10,499

"That won't happen," Kasiya grinned, already starting a new message. Realizing how that sounded, she cleared her throat, and looked up at Keegan. "I mean it won't happen because she's not there. She's traveling around with my friend Nina, whom I'm supposed to be meeting in Saffron City soon to battle her for a Marsh Badge. I saw them yesterday near Lavender Town, and I'm guessing they're nowhere near Goldenrod right now." The buttons on her PokeNav made continual chirps as she typed out her message. When she was finished, she read it over, making sure it said what she wanted it to.
My dearest Mike, (If he could tease her, why couldn't she tease him?) We seem to have gotten sidetracked, and I'm letting you know that we aren't hurt (a teensy little lie) and that you should go onto Verdanturf without us. I hope Mr. Ranmo can put you on the right path to finding your Omanyte, and I can think of no one better suited for raising one than you. Who knows, maybe someday if I do get a fossil of my own you'll have some tips on how to raise it. But anymoo, I just wanted to let you know that we're okay and that you're free to go on ahead without us. Say bye to Nitro and everyone else for me! ~Kassie
She hit send, closing her PokeNav as the icon stopped flashing. "We should get back to Goldenrod anyway," she told Keegan. "Themis and Ada were hurt during that battle, after all."

"Oh," was all Keegan could say, watching her typing out a message on her PokeNav. He was rather impressed - she could type pretty fast. "So you've met the Goldenrod gym leader then? What's she like?" he asked, more to keep up their conversation than anything else. Mori let out a soft whinny and he reached into his pocket, pulling out the red and orange disc. It shimmered in the light of her flames, and he reached out and pressed it to her forehead, watching it glow brightly for a moment before it cracked and turned a dull grey, now useless. The Ponyta stared off into the distance, visions of forming the flames decorating her body into a powerful stream of fire, incinerating all enemies in her path. She glanced up at Keegan, her large, expressive eyes thankful and happy. "You're welcome," he told the fire pony, scratching her behind the ears.
"We could, but then again we could also just rest here for the night," he told Kasiya. "After all, do you think you're well enough to travel?"

"What's she like?" Kasiya repeated, thinking back to the short time she'd spent with the gym leader. "She seems nice, but she's a bit hyperactive, and a bit overbearing," she responded truthfully, thinking back to how Whitney had practically jumped Mike right there in front of all of them. What if Whitney was there when she went to Saffron, and Keegan was still with her? She clenched her fist at the thought of Whitney so much as coming near him, and she furrowed her brow, already thinking of the many ways she'd harm the other girl if she so much as looked at Keegan funny. "I think she's also a bit boy-crazy," she added, realizing then that she'd become jealous at only a thought. It disturbed her for but a moment, and she found herself smiling. "You might want to be careful when you do meet her yourself."
She looked up at him again, realizing that Keegan had started talking to her again. "Of course I'm well enough to travel," she retorted. "I'm not dying or anything..." she trailed off, her eyes growing wide. "Am I?"

M.A. shook her head as if in shock, although a tell-tale smile softened the gesture. She was glad to see Ky laugh, even if it was just for embarassment; during her conversation, she had seen something like sadness, or lonliness, in his zoned-out expression. "Very smooth," she teased, stuffing her PokeNav in her backpack before skipping about the immediate area to gather up the food in a pile with her shoe. Before she could scoop it up somehow, one of the assistant Chanceys came by and cheerfully whiffed it away before she could as much as blink.
"Well then! Now that we're all ready to go, how 'bout that gym battle with Bugsy?" the girl proposed, anxious to keep moving on. If they stayed in gloominess too long, it wouldn't do them any good; if Ky didn't want to talk about things just then, well, he didn't have to. But she just knew he'd do great in that battle, and something like that would definately bring a bright side to the morning. Grabbing her bag, she was about to set off when a gentle nudge from below stopped her.
It was the Phanpy. Once she knew she had M.A.'s attention, she swung her trunk towards Daemyn, who only shot looks of total menace towards the Long Nose Pokemon. They still had a battle to do, a real battle. "Oh! Right," M.A. said, nodding. "Ky. . . If you like, you could go ahead of us, and I think we can finish up here in time to cheer you on."

"No problem. Just don't be too late. I'd hate for you to miss it," Ky said with a wink, sticking out his tongue a bit. "You guys ready?" Ky asked his Pokemon. Ky could see that Little Guy's bowl was empty, and Sting just glared in irritation. Ky laughed. "All right! Let's go!" Ky said, grabbing his backpack straps as he burst into a run. Ky looked back as he ran, waving to M.A. "Wish me luck!" he called out, the last part being cut off by the sound of the Pokemon Center's sliding glass doors.
"Natu!" Little Guy cheered as they ran past Azalea Town's various buildings. As the air rushed by, Little Guy spread his wings, tilting them until he could feel his body lift ever so slightly. The thought of flying really drove his spirit, and he wished to show Ky what he had learned.
Sting in the meantime tested his already innate ability to weave back and forth, throwing punches while spinning in the air and circling around Ky. Occasionly he'd stop after becoming dizzy, but it was apparent that his energy wasn't decreasing at all. There was no doubt he was ready to fight.
Bugsy's gym soon came into sight, it's junglish nature visible even from the outside. Ky could faintly remember Bugsy from the Rocket fight not too long ago. This was going to be a good battle.

It took Dante about ten minutes to get bored of looking at the recipe menu. Deciding that maybe just familiarizing himself with the bar would help he started to take a look around the large wooden counter. Much to his dismay it was a complete mess. Turning to Leon who was cleaning some of his martini glasses now he gave him a weird look. "How the hell can you find anything here?"
Looking over at the white haired boy Leon just laughed and made to clap him over the back again. Dante had learned that ducking that was the best way to save his back from turning blue by the next day. It didn't seem to bug Leon though seeing as he just laughed. "Everything is where it should be! There is a certain system." Dante just stared at him. "Erm, you can clean everything up."
"That’s what I thought." Dante said before turning to the counter and began organizing things in a way that you could actually tell what they were. Ok so maybe he was a bit of a neat freak. Not that you could tell from looking into his bag. Maybe he just liked things cleaned when he was working in that area. Going about setting the glasses in some sort of order Dante was interrupted by a tap on his shoulder. Turning his head back to look at whoever it was he was greeted by the sight of Kenny holding out a ghostly hand. "Oh Kenny, your back all ready?" The small ghost nodded and pushed his hand forward some more. Looking down Dante saw that Kenny was holding three coins. "Three?" He sighed before taking them and sticking them in the coin case. "Thanks Kenny, I know you did your best. You think you can help me clean up and put this in some sort of order?" The small ghost pokemon looked around the bar before nodding. "Thanks, I don’t think I would be able to do it if it was just me." he said casting a small smile at the Duskull before going back to his work. DANTE'S COINS 3/10,499

It was around noon when Dante and Kenny finished straightening up the bar. When it was done it looked really nice, like the professional bar that it should be. Since no one was actually at there station Dante, Kenny and Leon wear sitting on the counter eating a Salad, Pokemon food and a hamburger respectively. "So what exactly do I have to do here?" Dante asked the fork stabbing at a nice looking piece of lettuce.
Setting his hamburger down Leon swallowed what he was eating and thought for a second. "Well its pretty low key over here in the bar section believe it or not. We just serve people drinks and are the main people who battle other's in the arena." Leon looked over at Dante for a second. "I hope your a good trainer or at least have two badge's under your belt. Because if you aren’t your never going to get what you want. We get most of our coins from those battles, people bet on us and if we win we get a certain percentage of the winnings. Most people bet with the house you see." They sat there quietly for a bit eating there lunch before Leon spoke up again. "Truth be told I am surprised that you haven't been challenged yet. You look like you could be an easy win, no offense." Leon quickly said.
"None taken. I know I don’t look the most intimidating and that’s fine with me. People probably didn't challenge me because they probably didn't see me. I was fixing up this whole place after all."
Laughing at Dante's comment Leon beamed at him, for such a big scary looking man he was quite a softie. "I can't thank you enough for that. I didn't even know half of the stuff you found was even here! I should tell the owner about that, maybe he will give you some help towards your goal?"
Thinking about the large number of coins he had to gather Dante groaned. "That would help."
With both of them talking to each other they didn’t notice that a sort of rat faced man come up to the counter. "Hey, are you two going to chat all day or are you going to do your jobs?!" he snapped at them.
Hearing his voice both of them jumped down for the counter, Kenny sunk through it. "Roger? I can't believe you would show your face again after my team beat the snot out of yours in the arena." Leon said cracking his knuckles at the newly named Roger.
Roger however had caught sight of Dante and was smirking. Ignoring Leon's comment he went over to the younger man. "So you must be new here. How about we see how good you are in a battle in the arena?"
Dante who didn't really feel much like battling was about to refuse before a large hand slammed down in front of him. "He would be glad to accept. A one on one battle like usual you little rat?" Leon said with a growl.
"Sounds fine to me." Roger sneered before turning and heading off towards the front desk to tell them that there was going to be an arena fight.
Looking up at Leon Dante frowned. "I didn't want to fight him."
"To bad kid. You need to prove yourself around here and he is a good one to do it against. Don’t go easy on him and make sure to wipe the floor with his smug looking face. We need to build your reputation up!" Leon laughed at that last bit before pushing Dante out from behind the counter and out onto the floor.

The girl didn't let her nerves show, though. "Mimien! Now that you're a bit stronger, lay into Kitters with a rapid-fire barrage of Magical Leaf attacks!" Nodding quickly, the mime dispersed the Light Screen as fast as he had manifested it, immediately thereafter shifting his gaze to the opposing Delcatty. Extending his arms out in front of his body, Mimien opened his palms and now created a bunch of multicolored razor-sharp leaves, which he subsequently fired off at his opponent. Several more bursts were fired instantly after that, which made for a large attack that was guaranteed to hit.
Whitney was powerless to react as her Pokemon was struck by the large assualt of leaves-- there was nothing she could have commanded Kitters to do that would have protected her from the attack. Watching the Delcatty shake off the attack as best as she could, the girl looked over to their opposition. "Don't take that from him, Kitters! Show that mime what it's like to get struck by an unavoidable hit-- Faint Attack, now!" With a quick meow, the cat lept forward before jumping into the air, and disappearing a few moments later. While Mimien kept his senses as alert as possible, it wasn't good enough to avoid being struck. Kitters slammed into the back of the mime's head, causing him to falter and stumble-- increased defense or not, that was a Dark-type attack, and it had hurt, even coming from a Normal-type.
Okay, that thing's fricking evil, Nina thought to herself, scowling at her sister's Pokemon, then looking to her Jynx. "Anastasia! Let's get them back for what they've done before-- Blizzard!" With a bit of a grin, the Pokemon inhaled very deeply, the air temperature seeming to drop as she did so. Taking careful aim at her opponents, the Jynx released all the air she had inhaled, transforming it into a powerful, wide blast of ice and snow. She watched her opponents attempt to move out of the way, but their efforts proved fruitless as they were both struck. Kitters suffered more from the attack than Lulu did, as she had no resistance to it, whereas her partner did. She wasn't looking too well after surviving the attack.
"Gah, that thing's annoying! Lulu, chomp on it with another Crunch attack!" Raimundo cried, the Mawile scuttling forward, her jaws opening and closing rapidly, exposing her sharp teeth. When she was in range, Lulu lurched forward and clamped onto Anastasia's left arm, biting down hard. Feeling the hurt again already, she flailed around violently in an attempt to shake her attacker off, but to no avail.
Then, her eyes glowed a dark, luminescent purple-- an aura of the same color appeared around Lulu, and was forced off of Anastasia. She was lifted into the air, and while she tried to resist, it was useless, due to the fact that she was nothing more than a puppet because of Anastasia's psychic hold on her.
The Mawile was soon thrown clear across the room, crashing down onto the ground next to her partner.
