Okay, sword swinging stopped and she turned to look at him. He was being casual as ever about it wasn't he? "You said I could have my one secret and you keep hinting at it. I know all you speak, that he won't disown me and that he couldn't really care less. But I care Malik. You know full well how I feel about it..." It always seemed something she couldn't get over and a reminder to how utterly stupid she could be sometimes. And yet he had to set her acclaimed secret to a much more meaningful one and manage to make hers look like she was being selfish. In essence, she was and she knew that. "You're just fine about my ears because they've always been that way to you. I just want him to remember me the way I was...is that so bad Malik?"

Tarathiel caught Aella, or more percisely steadied her. "Come now dear, you will not do well to remai like this... Nor do we have the time to wait. I shall carry you once we are inside." Tarathiel turned to the gathered group. "Orko, make the dimensional door, now. Diamond and Jiscal go first and then Dagger and myself, Orko cover the rear. We wont need additional re-enforcements with the party we have. Aella, forgive me." Tarathiel effortlessly picked Aella up, and swung her onto his back. "Now."

Orko waved his hands and opened the dimensional door, it would open several floors below the kings' chambers and allow them entry into the castle. The magical defense of the keep was at a minimum, for a lack of wizards in the land...

Within moments, Tarathiel's party was inside the castle, where several surprised guards looked on in horror at the invaders. The nobles charged the guards and engaged them in battle, while Tarathiel set Aella gently on the floor. "You are not allowed to die." He told her as he stood up and turned to Orko. "Find the dwarf slave and place him somewhere nice."

"Which one?" The wizard asked confusedly.

"The one that held the staff."

"Easy to trace, there he is..." A snape of his fingers, and then quiet. "One of the drow wizards picked up the order, sir."

"Good good." Tarathiel turned his head to see a contingent of guards charging down the hall, armed to the teeth. "Support them, I'll cover the charge." And the drow was not kidding. He calmly walked towards the soldiers, who lowered their arms to strike, but would have fond no more success than they should have if they tried to attack the air itself. With speed beyond normal comprehension, Tarathiel drew out his scimitars and literally cut a path through the chargeing men. Over one, under the next, through both to the sides, the men feel like wheat threshed by a scythe. Within the amount of time it took the thre nobles to dispatch the intial guards, Tarathiel had cleared the way towards the throne room.

"Come one, I grow weary of waiting." He complained.

She may have refused to be carried, she had her pride, but she wasn't given much of a chance to. Before she knew it she was being carried by Tarathiel, the next she was bing set on the floor. "I'm sure I could have managed." She stood up shakily.

The order to avoid death was a bit of a surprise, since whne did anybody care if she died or not? She looke at her staff a moment. Oh yeah, that's why. She took a moment to wathc Tarathiel's dance with death, then proceeded to follow ihm into the throne room.

Said room, which had been only a quart populated when last the Captainwas there, was now filled to brimming with people. Soldiers of every rank, most of them those that had gotten left behind before the ships set sail. Some servants, about a hundred or more slaves being given the bow staffs with swords strapped hastely to the end, and about twenty in-waiting for the Crimson Gaurd. In the center of it all was their target.

"You remeber what trophy I asked for, Tarathiel? I've changed my mind, I don't want to see it again. I do still want him stripped of his manhood, however."

"It's not wrong, piper. but the bandana wearing all teh time is hurting you. it's bothering your ears and causing you pain. if it really worth suffering just so your father doesn't know?"

He walkd over and behind her, holding her arms at the wrist and lifting them up on the scimitar. and casually leading her through other motions designed specifically for her weapon, and talkign in her ear.

"My concern is for you, Piper. I know you don't want him to know, and I know you want him to remember you with both full ears and not think twice about it. but this solution is causing you pain to keep your ears pinned back like that. it you really have to hide it, why not use the mask instead?"

Her selfish little answer? Yes, yes it indeed was. But of course she couldn't say that to him because one of two things would happen. They would either start a fight and start yelling at each other, or he would take to chastising her like the child she was acting and they would fight none the less and then avoid each other. Such things often led to all sorts of trouble. But she didn't protest when he came over and took hold of her and her sword, all too casually leading her through motions. Be it a false pretense to have her close and talk to her at the same time or just him being the warrior teacher he liked to be, she wouldn't know. "Because he can sense magic like a dog smells blood. And that would be a far worse thing for him to think on." Indeed, her father would be far more concerned about a constant aura about her than the absence of one. "Besides, I can take it off at night..." Sad excuse but it was really all she had against him to defend her point. "And it doesn't hurt that bad." Lie, big giant lie.

Eliot was in the bowels of Deep Water once more. She had been surprised at how easy it had been to get in. There was something wrong in the castle, she knew that. But the "What" did not really concern her. She was more interested in the slaves quarters.

All her life she had been free. She Lived with her mother and father, and the rest of her family, she was very happy. Then the slave master came. She did not know his name, his scent or even how he looked. She had been bound in her sleep.

Most of her family had been killed. Her mother, raped and ragged, sacrificed her life, for Eliots. Eliot did not take that lightly. Her mother deserved to live, she had been a great woman. But her father had not escaped. She was going to find him. She was going to rescue him. And then, she was goign to fight for freedom

Her paws padded along the stone floor. Making amlost no noise. She knew where to go.

Tarathiel looked at the crowd and laughed. They didn't have a chance. "A wall of fire to the right, a wall of iron in the center and a wall of... swords... I knew I should have brough Warhammer..." Tarathiel looked at the army, and closed the door.

"Let them come to us." He said with a smile. As he spoke the other invaders arrived. "You two, are useless now. Watch the rear. Dagger, use some of that sorcery to cut the left flank, you'll find nothing down the center. Orko, you have the right. Aella, when you are ready follow me.

The door opened and the armed slaves appeared in front of the Drow, who seemed vulnerable, but all who knew him, knew that he was not. Within seconds, the entire front ranks was cut down, mostly by Tarathiel but Dagger and Orko got a few spells off as well, A few inches into the room, Tarathiel unleashed his first surprise, Wulfgar. The winter wolf would have enjoyed eating Tarathiel's head, but just as quickly followed his orders, to run down th centre of the room. The creature unleashed its frozen breath upon the masses, and clawed and leapted its way across the floor.

Unfortunately for the beast, it was a sucide mission, and he was eventually cut down. Regis followed him, then out came the last of the three summoning statues, Harkle. each making it slightly farther that the one before but still getting cut down. The true dance of death came from Tarathiel who seemed to be swiming in a sea of blood and limbs. The slave army fell under his wieght with little to no resistance, any better trained soldier would fall just as quickly. That was the difference in skill between Tarathiel and these pathetic soldiers. There numbers meant nothing to him. His armour absorbed most of the blows easily. Anyone lucky enough to strike a hit against him was dumbfounded by his acceptance of wounds, once a soldier swore he cut the vile Black Death across the throat, but to no avale. He died the next moment.

Dagger unleashed lightning bolts, which bounced throuth the ranks and off walls to hit more, Orko unleashed fireballs and created walls of fire to route the other flank. This left the people in the room with four choices. Death by sword, death by thunder, death by fire, or running.

The slave ranks broke and they fled. The loyal soldiers formed a defensive circle around Dimitri, who must have been pondering running himself.

Tarathiel allowed those who ran to escape him, but turned his eyes towards the elite guard standing near D'Mitri. "Challenge for the safety of your lord? One on one combat until I am slain." He offered, probably the only offer he would make.

"By the way, the map was real."

"I know that's a lie. I've watched you and I know how bad it hurts."

He kept her in a series of swings and movements, and keeping her footwork in line.

"And I know you take it off at night. but it's still causing you a lot of pain for what, down deep, is really a trivial thing to let your father know about. I'm just concerned for you, Piper. You know that. I don't like to see you in pain of any kind if you don't have to be."

Couldn't lie to him could she? Then again she never really was a very good liar. "Malik..." Though she was having trouble concentrating on coming up with plausible answers or excuses seeing as since he had hold on her, half her concentration was forced the sword movements and her steps. "Fine then...deal with me. Make a deal and I'll play by the deals rules. Of course said deal can't involve telling him..." See how that would work for her.

Aella was ready. She had been ready for years. She followed as close as she could after Tarathiel, leaving him enoufh room to amnouver. She would have liked to have participated in the slaughter, but she had lived with the salves, was one of them, still one of them as far as Tarathiel's crew was concerned. She counted each one of there deaths as sweet release. She did have a chance to shove the end of her staff into a gaurds throat though, which she found highly rewarding when he gagged and dropped t his knees, his trachia crushed.

The iar was litterally awash with red, raining blood. The staff, in response th Whirlwinds own excitment, was kicking up a breeze, picking up blood and body parts and throwing them around like water on a wave.

"You fools! There is no room for honor here!" But too late, they had surrounded him and cut off his escape root. Hiw was he supposed to ruin to saftey if his own gaurds wouldn't let him leave?

Unspoken agreement. They thought they might have a better chance, with a fair one on one competition. The first in line, a young man, rushed in. Speed and strngth were this boys strong points. He swept his bowstaff from boot to shoulder, trying to clip the drow in the jaw.

A second, to muh of a jump-start to wait any longer, ran in from the left and trusth the sword end of his staff at the drow's feet.

A little creature, yellow with large green eyes, was suddenly...there. Looking around told him he was in some sort of dungeon, but by the smell of it it was heavily populated. he smelled blood and granit too, further down below him, but he didn't want to go down that way. He didn't like blood unless it came from a person he was killing.

He sat in the middle of the hallway, looking both ways. Hadn't he already been ehre? He felt like he'd beene verywhere two or three times, trying to find the twins. And oh, what was this? A wolf? He'd ask his fellow then, if he'd..no she'd seen what he was looking fore. He kept himself ijn plain sight, so that he wouldn't surprise the she-wolf. He chittered his question, cocked his head.

A Fox squirrel! Eliot was surprised and quite happy to find another animal down here. Animals were so much easier to talk to then humans.

He must be right ahead of me, She thought. Eliot whined when she heard Him, what was that? It made no sense...she couldn't even form a coherent word from this creatures babblings.

She growled "What? I don't understand, where are the slaves? do you know where the slaves are? I can't seem to find them, they were here yesterday..."

Something was very odd abtou this creature...

The drow smiled at the bravodo of the youths, and waited paitently for the attacks to arrive. The first and second attackes came in a pridicable patter, one high, one low. He fliped under the first attack, which brought his feet over the second. The weapon went where his head was, and missed completely, causeing the inexperienced warrior to stubble forward, Tarathiel caught his foot on the man's chest and continued his leap, fliping completely back to his original stance, but a foot in the air. He landed on the second weapon, and stood on it as he struck across both men's throats simotaneously. He walked along the weapon until it fell form the dieing man's grasp. Hoping to the ground, he continued to walk forward.

"Don't even think about running, you." Tarathiel said as he pointed his scimitar at the king. "My wizards will cut you down quicker than you could reach the other entrance." The drow continued towards the soldiers. "Next. Do come in pairs, or all together, I don't care. Your fate is sealed... Unless you lay down your weapons and bow." His eyes pierced into them, promising death.

"Alright. Deal is this. I won't mention a thing about it again, or even reffer to it, on the basis that for at least three hours a day, toward teh middle of said day, that you take your bandana off to let your ears have a chance to recouperate from the binding you constantly put them in."

He stopped her movents, adn came aroudn in front of her, offering his hand.

"sound good to you?"

PostPosted: Sat Oct 01, 2005 10:29 pm

She looked a little skeptical at him and then his hand a moment as she swirled that in her head. Hm...how many inventive ways could she come up to cover up her ears with for three hours and make plausible excuses. Well she could just come up with some couldn't she. With a sigh, one hand left her weapon and grasped to his own offered one. "Deal..." Well she wasn't ecstatic about the idea now was she. But she would at least abide by her word and her deal.

Morelle barked. Hey! He was the one asking questions! He didn't ahve time for slaves and what not. He ran in a circle, chittering the whole time. The Vah twins! Hw was looking for the Vah. Have you seen them?

Ugh, fine he'd show the she-wolf were the slaves were. But she wouldn't find any, the palce had been emptied out. He turned tail and sahed down the hall. best to get this over with.

Okay....tough descision...or not. Most laid down their arms and backed off slowly. Come to think of it, Dimitri hadn't een that great of a king. Cutting wages, conscription, it wasn't a fin gig. They felt maybe they would have abetter chacne with soemone new on the throne...

That being as it was, King Dimirti only had two Crimson Gaurd to protect him. Both of the rolled their eyes and sighed. Damn.

The decided not to charge, but began to circle the drow. Hopefully trip him up a bit, get him to focus on one and the other could maybe get under his sword.

Men and their fighting. While it was highly entertianing to watch, Aella had things to do. She had walked around the carnage, came up to Dimitri from behind. He staff clunked to the flor behind him, surprsing the man. "Hello, You're Magesty. Remeber me?"

Indeed he did. "My precious Whilrwind!" how nieve he was. "You will protect your king, won't you?"

"Om my! Meilikki! WOuld you look at this!" He ran his bony hand along the human hide again. He looked as if he was about to bounce up and down in joy. "Look at all of those people dieing, ins't it all just so...good to watch?" He laughed. "Oh, you got to watch this kind of thinge very waking moment, haven't you? You lucky little b***h." He laughed again.
