"Follow me..." The doctor led her to the recovery room, opening the door and letting her inside, closing the door once she was in. Kieiru was lying back down on his bed, his eyes closed looking as if he were either alseep or in a deep state of thought. But as she approached, his eyes opened slightly, as he looked at her, putting on his best smiled. He spoke, but his voice was weak, "...Reigen...its...good to...see you........ah...are you alright....?"

As soon as she saw him her eyes teared up again. She quickly wiped at her eyes to try and hide the fact that she was cring as she let out a small laugh. "I'm fine...Kieiru...but how are you doing? They told me that you had...that you had to have an operation." She stood by his side now and she wanted to hug him close, but was unsure if it was safe to do so.

Kieiru was pale, and he had an oxygen mask strapped over his nose and mouth. He looked at her, and groaned as he sat up. A new scar had been added to his collection, this one cutting across his midsection. He looked at her with his eyes half closed, trying and failing to smile. When he heard the word operation, he fidgeted uncomfortably, holding the new scar. "What happened...?"

"Well they told me that you had an infection of some sort and when you hit your head you got a concusion which caused the infection to spreed and act up...They told me that it was...a good thing that I didn't let you sleep afterward." She looked down at her hands and noticed that she still held his walet tightly in her hands. "Um...this fell out of your pocket before you went unconshious." She layed it down on a side table next to him. Her eyes still a bit teary she couldn't help, but feel realieved that she could finally talk to him.

Kieiru looked at her, then at his wallet. He sighed, and took her hand in his, making sure than the IV didnt get tangled.

Kieiru looked a bit shocked for a moment then it quickly faded into a smile as she tried really hard to hold back her tears.

Reigen wiped at her eyes again with her other hand. "I know, it's just...I really didn't know what to do...an I thought that..." She broke off at this not being able to continue. She didn't want to worry him while he was in his current state. So she just wipped at her eyes again then kissed his hand gently, yet softly.

Kieiru looked at her, smiling as best he could, slowly taking her face in his hands, gently bringing her face over to his, as he kissed her, not letting her finish. When he finally broke away, his eyes were closed, leaning back on the pillows of his bed. "Its over Reigen-san...its over...its all in the past...all we can do is keep moving forward...Ill be alright...I made a promise...I intend to keep it."

Reigen couldn't restrain herself anymore and she leaned over and hugged Kieiru softly so not to hurt him. She sobbed softly as she mumbbled out the words, "I love You, Kieiru." After everything that had happened she reaized that she was worried that she wouldn't be able to say those few simple words to him. She hadn't known it up until now, but as she finally said it she couldn't help, but feel the weight on her heart lift suddenly.

Kieiru felt his face get hot, blushing brightly. He shook his head to get rid of it, and hugged her back, ignoring the fact hed just gone through surgery. "I love you Reigen-san...noone could ever replace you in my life...youre fighter hads returned to you Reigen-san."

Reigen brought her head up from where it layed over Kieiru and wipping her eyes still crying she let out a laugh. "An your sacrifice is very happy that her fighter is alright." She leaned in and kissed his forhead gently smiling at him.

Kieiru looked at her and smiled at her using his free hand to get rid of her tears. He sighed and leaned back into his pillows again, closing his eyes. A doctor came in and looked at the two of them, checking to see if Kieiru was alright. She hurried Reigen away, telling her that Kieiru would be on his feet again in a day or so.

Reigen nodded and after asking what the visiting hours were she decided that she'd vist Kieiru tomorrow and started her walk home.
