Mat No it was late and i was cranky. Da,m WoW keeping me up like that. And if you really wanted a Land Raider you could allie and Inquistor with Retinue of Veteran Guardsmen to your army and mount them in... A Land Raider but this woud be a huge points sink and i advise against it I got the first of my Valhallans yesterday they were already primed so they went right to paint and the Officer is looking good, but i was wonder how should i base them. I was going to flock them but now im think of half flock half snow Half flock half snow, definately.

I was going to flock them but now im think of half flock half snow I say do it gravel/debris/muddy ground, with a dot or two of Static Grass, and then a light sprinkle of snow. Basically, use flock, paint it scorched brown, then drybrush bleached bone over it ever so tenderly. Then put 2 drops of your glue (I use Loctite) and press on some static grass. Brush the rest off after a few seconds. Then add the snow. That way, it can really compliment a model.

Once the urban basing kit is on sale I'll base all my troops and other things on a base in urban style, a nice unifying look.

That s**t is expensive from FW. Errr, the urban basing kit is released by GW, not FW as far as I know. It has resin parts in it, but that doesn't automatically make it FW related.

FW did Barbed Wire a while back, but this stuff is far cheaper, and I might be able to buy it in stores, so 'shipping' is 'free'.

hmmm nope. Whats your background for the Planet.
Mine is acctually based off of Cags Marines.
Fearing the Events of the Rynns World disaster the Sons of Stalingrad began moving their excess munitions to the nearby world of Chernobyl. During storage the munition were set off in a accident destroying most of the worlds ecosystems. Now the planet is covered with various rad zone between which human life has survived. The planet is now in a state of premanent nuclear winter (my troops are valhallans) but suprisingly the planet has been able to raise various guard regiments.
