Just looking for suggestions on my Eldar army. I'm building an Apocolypse sized army that works great for either Planet Strike or Cities of Death. Right now, I have a core army of 6 Dire Avenger squads and 5 ranger squads. Right now I'm going for fast attack and elites, full squads of Warp Spiders and Howling Banshees in place of the heavier troops like Striking Scorpions and Dark Reapers. Any thoughts?

It's that time, gang! I'm in desperate need of special characters. For Eldar, here's what I'd like to see:
An Autarch and a Farseer.
What are the restrictions? It doesn't matter! You can give them any wargear and any special rules that you can think of, or create your own things entirely. Just so long as the points are close to balanced, it should all work out.

To Shifty:
Having not yet played an official game of the expansions but having read Cities of Death. This would be my point of view for you.
So long as you are doing Apoc in CoD style, you'll have a butt load of terran to hide in which is great because True LoS is key in 5th edition and lots of buildings makes that hard to accomplish. That being said, sticking to lighter, mobile units is very smart. The faster you are, the better for you.
That being said, here are a few unit tactics that I'd probably use in this unique scenario.
DarkReapers... as much as I love them (could you tell by the name?) they are pretty much useless in CoD. So forget them.
Rangers are similar to DarkReapers BUT in CoD are gods of cover saves and are fleet using Troop units! Stock up on them because when it comes to claiming objectives, you'll love them, just don't forget their move through cover and you're good!
Dire Avengers are probably one of the best for this battle. You give the Exarch 2 catapults and blade storm. Then treat your 6 units like its the movie 300 and hide them in the streets, mass murder your enemy as they try to run at you. If you are using strategems from CoD, I might add looking into sewer rats. It makes for a great ambush tactic with blade storm units. lol
Banshee's are my best friends in any game, that being said use them to your hearts content. Just remember they are elites so they can't claim objectives but can definitely dish out the pain. If you have JainZar kicking around, stick her in the team, not only do they become fearless but they get furious charge too!
Warp Spiders are tricky, they are great reinforcement units but seldom hold their own. That being said, having them shadow your Banshee's so that they can soften up the Banshee's assault targets are your best bet. Other than that... well I don't think the world of them.
In CoD believe it or not, while Scorpians may be slower due to their heavy army, they are in fact brutal. Make sure you give the exarch a biting blade and his exarch powers and you'll see why. With so much city terrain around, they'll be knocking down the enemy's door step turn one or waiting to ambush when the others show up. Either way, give your enemy hell!
Also as one last thought. Fire Dragons baby! Give them a wave serpent and fly them up hot, in CoD you can destroy buildings and with Tank Hunters as their ability of choice.. Muwhahaaha! All you gotta do is aim at the buildings full of your enemy's units and blast away. Destroy it and watch the units come flying out in the ensuing explosion.. good times!

Can it be? Someone who uses Eldar properly? surprised
I can't find anything to disagree with. Scorpions are good, and can contest anything with their number of attacks and an Exarch outfitted with a Biting Blade.
Howling Banshees and Fire Dragons have similar roles, I prefer the latter because while both chew through heavy infantry, Fire Dragons chew through vehicles just as well, and deal instant death to characters.
Dire Avengers with Bladestorm should be in maxed out squads; think about a couple minimal 5-man 60-point squads to hold rear objectives.
Warwalkers dominate cities. They can make superb use of cover with no danger of damaging themselves, and can put out massive fire, especially if loaded up with the highly inexpensive Shuriken Cannons.
Warp Spiders can get mauled up by the sheer terrain in cities, it's risky using them; I usually tend to find them... A little lacking, somehow, though it's possible I'm just not used to them. Consider Jetbikes as an alternative; faster, tougher, and capable of holding objectives.

Ages ago in the years old has anyone heard of the Eldar 40k The kings court with all the pheonix lord and the avatar of khaine.
i know that theres some rules of this Legendary unit some where but i can't find it anywhere or even can't find some random person on the net that realy gives you any proper info on the matter.
iv known about the kings court for many years but iv never had the money to buy all the pheonix lord and now iv only got a few left to buy with there related units just in case i want to split them up in combat.
if anyone knows of any bonus rules they get for being teamed up as the kings court i'll be very greatful.

That'd be pretty expensive, points-wise. They're all at least 200 points, and there's, what, 8 of them?

godjollydevil Shinobi_8745 My question is: Do you like the model? well yeh, i like all of em. just wondering whether points wise its good. there Awsome even though there armour 10 ya even platforms have armour it sucks sad throw them behind cover and use a D- cannon if small table and city fights work well too. ,if largest use Shadow weavers Great damage for 50pts on a small blast st6 can't go wrong. need some Pinning use a Vibro cannon for Auto Glacing hits.(these rule in 3 ways i shot a line right through 4 units at one point and pinned most of them right in line of sight of my 80 odd gardians haha no where to Run or Hide.
