"Oh great," Kasiya groaned as the rain started to come down. She could see Saffron City cleary now, it was only a matter of minutes. "Being totally soaked is just what I had in mind for this mission," she grumbled, as Fang started to descend. A bolt of lighting danced across the sky, and even though she was usually fascinated by them, right now it was downright scary. "Hurry, Fang!" she urged, and the Crobat gave a bit of a screech, his gaze fixed upon Saffron Gym which stood nearby.
Somewhat near the ground, Kasiya was able to let go, and she landed about twenty feet or so from to figures who stood outside the gym, talking. "Are you two crazy, standing here in the pouring rain and.." she stopped as she got closer to them, realizing it was Nina and Mike. "I made it," she said to them, pushing her soaked hair out of her eyes. "Great job," she told Fang, and recalled the green Crobat into his Pokeball.

"Bye," was all Keegan could say as he watched Kasiya and Fang fly off, and he was suddenly a little jealous of the badge collection she'd amassed so far. He looked up at the darkening sky, seeing some lightning in the distance. "The mood is set, and the players are moving into position. This should be interesting," he said to himself as he felt a drop of rain land on his cheek. He shivered a little and brushed the water off, looking around for someplace to go. People were piling into the Pokemon Center, and he didn't feel like being around that many people at the moment, so he headed in the direction of the Department Store, more for shelter than the actual shopping experience.

Just as he raced inside the multi-level department store, the rain started to fall at full tilt. Big, round drops of water fell from the sky, drenching everything in a matter of seconds.
"That was close," he sighed to himself, thankful he was still rather dry. He turned and looked around, and could swear he was staring at a mirror image of the store in Goldenrod. "Maybe they really are chain stores," he wondered aloud, wandering towards the stairs. He climbed a few flights before settling on a floor, and he decided to browse the shelves, mainly because there wasn't anything else to do right now.

"Now this could be useful," he said, picking up a shiny, golden yellow disc. It read 'TM 24'. "Themis could use an actual electric attack," he mused, thinking of his Pokemon's readily available moves. "Oh, and I remember this one!" he grinned, holding up a purple disc. "TM 36, so that's what you are." He remembered clearly the powerful Sludge Bomb move Erika's Victreebel had launched. "I hope I have enough," he said to himself quietly, poking through his money as he made his way to the counter, the two TMs in hand. "I'd like to buy these, please," he said, putting them on the counter.
"Good choices, might I say," the clerk smiled. "Together, they come to $4,500. Would you like a bag with that?" she asked, and Keegan shook his head as he handed over the money.
I'm really broke now, he thought to himself, and wandered around the store until he found a coffee shop of sorts. He sat down, ordered a cup, and stared out through the window at the rain pouring down.

Nina looked over to see Kasiya, and she aprroached her with a grin. Anna stayed behind near Mike.
"Kasiya, it's great to see you," Nina said, smiling a bit. "I think that we should go inside now-- the others are probably waiting."
(I'll be back in an hour or so. I have to entertain a 10-year-old. stare )

Keegan sipped his warm beverage, looking at the two TM discs in his hand. "Hopefully some new moves will help you guys be stronger," he said, releasing Themis and Loki. Themis jumped up into his lap and curled up while Loki made himself comfortable on the chair beside him. "I figured you guys deserve this," he said, applying both moves. Loki learned Sludge Bomb and Themis learned Thunderbolt. "Since Althena learned Surf, and Helios already has access to a powerful move like Heat Wave, I thought it was time for you guys to join the fun." He put the cracked, grey discs aside, and released the other two Pokemon as well. Helios looked a little disappointed that his favorite place was taken, but was content to sit on the table right in front of him, nosing at the coffee with keen interest. Althena sat on the floor, leaning up against a chair and dozed lightly. Keegan returned his gaze back out the nearby window, and he watched the lightning playing across the skies. "You'd better call if you need me," he said idly, placing his PokeNav on the table so it was within easy reach.

Mike gave Kasiya a goofy salute as she descended from the sky. He smiled at the cooky Crobat, he always liked Fang. The boy continued to be pounded by rain, but he didn't care. He thought back to Lavaridge and how he was completely obliterated by Flannery. He thought to himself, slowly reaching for his Pokenav without knowing. He had Flannery's number for years, and once called her regularly. Every since his feelings for her developed, it became too painful to hear her sweet voice so he stopped calling. She must think I don't like her or something. His fingers began dialing her number, and he stood there and stared at the PokeNav. The number was right there. All he had to do was press Send and that was it.
He clicked the Nav off and put it back in his pocket. I can't.

"Geez, Nina, you talk as though we haven't seen each other for months," Kasiya said with a laugh. "Inside is probably a better idea," she said, shielding her eyes and looking around. "Heya Mike, you're unusually quiet," she said to her friend, the serious look on his face a bit unnerving. "You okay?"

"Why does everyone think something is off? I'm fine!" Mike started to show some agitation in his voice. He calmed down, letting out a deep breath. "I'm fine, let's just go inside and come up with a plan."
Mike walked into the gym, Portabello hopping after his trainer, grassy fur shedding off in the rain.

"Okay Mike, now I know something is wrong!" Kasiya yelled after him, her voice drowned out by a loud clash of thunder. "Let's get inside," she said to Nina, motioning for her to follow. She stood in the entrance way, wringing a steady stream of water from her long, blonde hair. "Now this is why long hair is a pain," she grumbled, stomping in the pool of water on the floor.

Mike waved her off, even though she was still outside. Portabello began to give him a concerned look as well. "Oh not you too!" He wailed, Nitro releasing himself and tugging on his sleeve. "What do I have, eight mothers? You two go over there and train or something, there's plenty of room."
His Pokemon's eyes lit up as they gleefully dashed over to the empty arena. "Score!" Nitro shouted as he flew over to the opposite side.

Kasiya shook off another few gallons or so of water before she fully entered the gym, looking around. She walked up to Mike, who was looking towards where Nitro and Portabello had gone. "I'm not your mother," she defiantly, hugging him from behind. "I'm just a good friend who worries about you, is all." She held on to him for a second of so before letting him go. "And don't forget that you can always talk to me if something is bothering you." She gave a warm smile, and nodded, signaling she wouldn't bring it up again unless he wanted to.

He only smiled, at least she respected his privacy. "Thanks." He put simply, blowing her a silly kiss. He walked with her to the room where Sabrina and her parents were in and quietly sat indian style next to the door, not wanting to interject.
"No fair!" Portabello shreiked as he dodged another Flamethrower attack. "I can harm you with my special moves!" The Breloom barely moved out of the way of the last attack, his back burned slightly.
"Then stop being a grass type." Nitro chuckled, some smoke rising from his nose. While he was mocking he failed to see the green streak aimed at his jaw and was met with a rather unwelcome Sky Uppercut. The move sent him flying for a bit before he leveled out and hovered over the arena, shooting more fire attacks from above as Portabello jumped onto his back.

Nina and Mike had finally made it back inside. A few seconds later she caught sight of Kasiya as well. She leaned back against a wall and breathed out slowly. She could hear the thunder outside and the sound of it seemed to calm her. "Stupid emotions..."she muttered to herself, her eyes still closed.

(So, three hours and two games of Halo later, I've finally returned. xd )
"Ah," Sabrina said, looking to Nina, Mike, and Kasiya. "It's good that you are here. A few minutes ago I just got done explaining what will be going on." Clearing her throat, she continued speaking. "Nina and Mike, you are to accompany Mom and Mitsu to the Rocket Base on Five Island. There will be a ferry leaving from Vermillion that you can take-- usually, you would need a Rainbow Pass to travel to that island, but I have previously made arrangements so it isn't needed. As for you, Kasiya, you will be travelling to Viridian City with me and my father. We are to search the areas in their entirety, and report to the other group if we find out anything. Also, if you discover that Giovanni isn't at your location, notify the other group. And the most important factor is that we should do our best to remain hidden, and not get caught."
Nina raised her eyebrows, a bit impressed. "You're a very good tactician, Sabrina," she said with a bit of a grin.
