[[hmmm came in right in time...exxxxcilent. let this pass since it fit the DC of the training]]
[[Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu training DC: Natural 15 Successes: 4 Post: 19/50 ]]
Roy spun around quickly at the voice. He had focused hard and kept his mind synced to the jutsu. It's just that his objective altered. The focus of the jutsu was just about perfect. He had a good grasp of the general thought pattern now. Actually, it seemed to help, this distraction that is.
As his attention was diverted, so was his targeting. His body spun around quickly and went into a full motion. It was a little overdramatic but till he was use to moving the chakra through his body, he felt that it was pretty normal or ok for now. The genjutsu shot forth toward the boy.
A gust of wind and dust would kick up in front of the boy but nothing immediatly would happen. This was the jutsu of horrifying dreams and delusions. Roy hadn't gotten to a level where he could force an exact image on the opponent but he was getting there slowly. If only he could keep this kind of focus, he would have even the cat at his mercy...s long as she wasn't expecting it.
Roy looked to the boy to see his expressions as the genjutsu would eventually take place. Although, it began to grow boring to wait for the boy to realize his mind was under Roy's control. Soon, he turned toward the cat again who was now laying on her belly, licking her paws. A slight grin crossed his lips and he called out her name. As she looked up, Roy applied his handseal again and tried once more.

But nothing...Roy didn't even feel his chakra move this time around. It was like he hadn't even applied his chakra or anything. A confused ten frustrated look crossed his face. He released and reaplied the handsigns several times. Looking backa dn forth, he soon heard the howling laughter of teh cat who knew all to well what was wrong.
She rolled on her back with laughter, looking and pointing at him from time to time. Eventually, she calmed down and told him to try once more. That she was sure he'd get it eventually. A growl came from him and he began to clinch his fist tightly. He force his chakra to mvoe and applied ti quickly as he attempted once more.

That was it, his body was spent. He felt his chakra spaz within himself and soon he fell back. He had spent all his chakra and his body was demandng rest whether he wanted to or not. The cat grinned as seh moved over to him and began to walk up his body. She knew what was wrong with him. She had seen the signs far to often to not know. A lick to his nose, even though she knew he hated it, and a claw to his cheek.
"Baka...how many times have I told you to pay attention to your chakra reserves at all times. You did tis too yourself. And look what you did to the poor boy over there. Bah, I should leave you both here...." Roy simply sat there, silent and grumbling to himself.
However, she couldn't relaly leave them like that. Ryoko would...wait, Ryoko would probably agree with her. But now, she didn't feel like hearing Roy b***h about it. So, she first left Roy to sulk for a moment. She moved over toward Shinku and clawed his face quickly. It would be enough to break Roy's incomplete genjutsu, "Wake up boy, playtimes over."

After the dust coulds left, no one was there. Shinku wasn't even in Iwagakure anymore.... he was back home. He saw before him the village in ruins from the avalanche and his family... They were all gathered together staring at him with hatred, him and his sister who was now standing besides him. They sensed the anger and fear radiating from their family as they were chased down the snow covered alleys. For some reason, Shinku and his sister had lost their ability to 'see', and with the village in such a mess... they couldn't go around by memory. So they were truly running blind now. It seemed like a never ending run, they couldn't get away... and their family... they were gaining. He turned a corner to loose them, but when he turned to smile at Shuiro... she was gone. He turned the corner again and saw her on the ground... blood pouring from her wounds, the family standing over her. This couldn't be happening. He ran at them, trying to fight them off... but it was no use. He couldn't fend them off without his chakra... he was useless... and Shuiro... was dead. Then his cousin started clawing at his face with her inch long nails and he reacted instinctively, by grabbing what he could and trying, since he didn't know he really could right now, to push electricity through her. When he opened his eyes again, he was back in the Shi plateau and he was holding Etna by the scruff of her neck pulsing enough to do more than make her fur stand on end. He threw her to the side and wiped the sweat from his brow, backing away slowly. It was just an illusion... it didn't happen... it wasn't real...

The cat flew and landed on her feet. She glared to the boy. How dare he do this to her when she wasn't even the one to cause his trouble. He was going to pay and pay dearly for this insult. She began to wlak towards him and stoped short of his body. She slammed her front paws into the ground after a few moments. A roar like cry came from her as she belched out flames that surrounded the boy.
"Looky here fool. I'm not some common housecat that you can toy around with. I have no qualms with killing you right now boy. Don't tempt me."
The cat let the boy free of the flames she had set with her Fireball jutsu. she was fuming mad now and began to head off.

Katare had successfully followed Roy and.. somebody else to Shi Plateau, where Roy had began training what the boy could only assume was some advanced genjutsu. Damn, Roy really was an intense trainer, almost as intense as Kinen and he. After the cat freaked out and began to leave, the energetic boy shot out of his particular location of hiding.
"Hey, you skipped out on me! I still need to speak to you, ya know. Oh, and if you've nobody else to train on you can train on me, just give me a minute to finish reading up on this..." After pulling out the right jutsu book, Katare remembered his manners and turned to the 'new kid'. "I don't believe we've met, I'm Katare." The boy extended his arm for a handshake, a rather abnormal act for a mega-hyperactive teenage boy.
(It's all empty promises since I can't do anything system-related yet, but...)

Izumi finally arrived at the plateau. Today, however he didn't have his nose in a book as he traveled. This only how showed how dedicated and focused he was to the task at hand, unwilling to distract himself even in the slightest from his objective. He noticed a group had arrived before him but paid little attention to them. He was never a very social person and especially not when he was training. Although at the moment he had no idea what he should train for, all he knew was that it would be an earth jutsu. After coming to that conclusion, Izumi decided that the best place to start would be controlling some earth. Just like when he had done it the other day, he tried to call the earth to him and see what he could do with it.

His chakra gathered the soil towards him...but now what could he do with it? Creativity wasn't really his strong point but holding the soil was starting to fatigue him so he needed to do something fast. Perhaps a projectile could be formed? With that in mind he tried to use his chakra to compress the dirt into a compact, solid form.

Izumi looked at the result and nodded but then stopped himself, realizing that he hadn't actually accomplished anything. At first he had had a pile of dirt and now he had a rather small ball of dirt. On top of that he had to keep his focus just to keep the ball from falling apart. With only a bit of anger he threw the ball as hard as he could, but even that failed. As soon as he released it, it was no longer being compressed by his chakra and became a mere shower of dirt. A projectile was clearly a horrible idea. Perhaps a melee weapon of some sort? In order to give it a shot, he called some more soil to him with his chakra and attempted to form into a blunt object of some sort.

Shinku did not flinch at the flames... after all, fire was his element along with electricity. He just focused his static chakra to his hand and up his arm, giving the feline a menacing look as sparks started covering his body. Besides looking cool , the sparks also provided protection from the burns that could have hit him, if she wanted them too. When she released him to trot off, he turned and saw Katare running in their direction. He gave the boy a slight wave... though not feeling too interested in his arrival.

(*sigh* Deleted crap? I'll send it to you again... As for the Shinku thing, the agreed assumption is that I was in and out of the house, we've seen each other before but never formally met... If I remember correctly.) Katare noticed that he didn't choose to respond, but still had to ask about that... "Is that a bloodline, by any chance? I remember seeing somebody use that type of chakra as a child..." Turning back to Roy, he offered himself up as a training dummy once again and continued to read his jutsu book.

Shinku looked back at Katare... "Yeah, It's a bloodline... there were two others similar, but not nearly as effective as mine, in Kumo... Why do you ask...?" He turned the rest of his body to face the boy. WHy was he all of a sudden curious? He settled his chakra down enough to keep it from showing on his skin...

Katare turned back to the other guy, lowering his chakra jutsu book. "Well, I'm interested because I lived in Kumo until eight years ago, and I guess I was surprised that the bloodline is still alive." Katare's face showed signs of relief; some might say that he was a bit of a fan of the bloodline. "So, since you apparently lived in Kumo, perhaps you know something about a speed-based bloodline..." The hyper-kid was curious on just how much this guy knew.

Shinku pondered the thought for a moment... "I dont know... a speed based clan, eh? Did they have the lightning affinity?" He asked him curiously to try and put the pieces of the puzzle together.
