"Nina, I don't know about this. Take a look at thing, they way it's made...doesn't that look familiar to you at all?" Muttered Benjamin, it definitely looked like an Irrigan Original. There was no doubt in his mind that it wasn't.

"Why don't you find out." Revenir snapped her fingers. Her "pets" sprang out of the cave like a pack of hunting dogs. They would not go after Nina however, they were going after her family members. Revenir leaped into the air, heading downward to Nina with rapier in hand. It was set to neutral position, simply glowing in a dulled gray color.

"You're not so bad yourself, however you're an old model." Revenir spun the revolver on her rapier, the color within turned from gray to red. With it, so did the birthmark on her cheek violently glow. "I on the other hand, am the latest." She flipped the sword in hand and stabbed it into the ground. The ground shook and lifted both Nina and Revenir into the winds above, where much of the ground was already floating in the whirlwinds.

"Crap, she's separated Nina from us!" Said Elric, he pierced through a lurker and threw his sword, taking down another with it's own kin.

Benjamin flipped over his sister and landed in a crouched position with his bow in hand. "Forget the stench, Fara!" He fired off a few arrows of his own. "The faster we get rid of them, the faster the smell will be gone, so focus sis!"

"We'll just see about that then!" She spun the revolver to blue, the rapier's element changing to ice. With a snap of her fingers, Revenir had seven swords of ice floating behind her. She charged at Nina and clashed her sword against hers. "I can't understand how they see view as a problem, you're weaker than I thought you'd be." She pushed Mina back into a floating platform and sent her floating ice swords down below.

"I'm sure we'll find something for the smell." Benjamin fired an arrow into the air, which came down as many to form a circle around Fara. It would boost her strength and fire element. He then fired another arrow, this time it rained down as many fireballs.

"Oh? Risking your life on a new weapon? How foolish of you." She then sheathed her own rapier. Revenir spread her arms outward, egging Nina on to attack her. "Come on then, old timer, lets see what you got!" She wanted to wear out her magic reserves and end her there.

"Swords?" Questioned Elric. He heard the whistles of the swords coming down and looked up. In fear of getting impaled, he ran around as fast as he could. "This is such a bad day!"

"You'll join it soon." She said with a devilish grin. Revenir toyed with her a bit longer, moving ever so dangerously at her blade. On the last swing, she caught the blade at the blunt side. "Though I do admit, I like this one." She elbowed Nina and pulled the blade from her hands, pointing the sword at her foe she calmly said. "Drop that sheath."

"You're doing this on purpose!" Elric continued to sprint about as fast as he could. Give it to her though, the little stunt she pulled may have just saved them all. The spikes impaled what was left of their little lurker threat.

"Good job, sis!" Complimented Benjamin, he looked up at the sky. "Now for Nina to hurry up..."

((( Think of it as character demoralization. Nina realizing she has enemies on par with her and might want learn more about what her crystal powers let her do too. She'll win it back the next time they fight. )))

Revenir tilted her head. She did not need to be confused any more, the ace up Nina's sleeve appeared before her. She got some cuts along her body, but her injuries weren't life threatening. "Some sort of phantom blade. I like it. Guess I won't be needing the sheath to use it's power. But I'll pry it from your cold dead hands!"

She charged at Nina with the full intent of ending her life. However the sound of metal dinging against another object obstructed her path. It was Connor, appearing to Nina's rescue, he took the brunt of the attack with his bad arm. As he pushed Revenir to the side, the crystal fell from her and hurled to the ground below.

"Now look what you did! Stand aside, you reject concept! Or I'll cut you down too!" Revenir was rather annoyed that Connor decided to ruin things for her. She pointed Nina's sword at the eyesore.

"Man, none of this is looking good, I have to get up there!" Without another second's notice, Elric formed his blades into their lance form and spiral jumped into the air from platform to platform. He didn't realize just how high they were till now.

"I need her..." Said Connor with a gravely ill voice. He pointed his bad arm at Revenir, he'd fight her too if he had to. Revenir stood her ground, even approaching him to take the sheath along with the sword as her prize and continued walking away.

"Fine, take her. Her family is easy pickings without her. I'll get that crystal back later." That said, she dashed off in a dark violet colored blur, similar to the Lurkers movements.

All that was left was Connor and Nina. He stared at her, as if he was searching within her for something. He place his arm slowly over her face, in the light, there could be seen what he was hiding. His entire arm was made out of crystal. As he was mere inches from her face, he stopped as if he was reconsidering his actions.

Connor could her panting, anxiety taking over. He removed his hand completely from her and stood a distance from Nina his hunched back turned from her and his good arm clutching the other. His actions were strange, but he had his reasons as to why he didn't attack her when he could. Clearly things were in his favor, who wouldn't strike?

Why wasn't he attacking her? That was a very good question, but he was not quite sure himself. Why do I hesitate? Connor asked himself. He stayed motionless as ever, not even a twitch of acknowledgement.

"I want to beat you at your fullest. If I'm going to take what I need from you, it won't be out of opportunism."
