Mercedes giggled softly and slowly stood back up as she opened her eyes and brought Songs sword from to rest across her chest as she looked at his reflection in the blade, a smile was still on her lips, "then it looks like we've both found our partners. at one point, only when your ready we can test our skills together with you in your split form, that sound okay?" feeling the presence get closer and a voice speak behind her Mercedes turned around and stared at the new male, her smile had gone and a serious one took its place. slowly she would lower Songs form down to her side and loosened her grip alittle incase he wanted to change back, it was a sign that she was allowing him to do so. listening to the male speak, confusion flashed in Mercedes eyes though it would be hard to notice. missing death scythe? no she hadn't heard anything. maybe she had before she lost her memory, but now she didn't know who he was. Why would he give this guy a favor anyways? It's not like he had done anything for him! Yet... Song looked over at Mercedes. A strong bond... Huh? Well, I mean I don't hate her yet so I guess so, Song then looked at the man, stepping forward slightly.

A portal appeared near a bench in the park and, a few seconds later, Mirai stepped out with Texas, the portal closing behind them. She looked around with a small smile. The last time she was here, she had to fight her father. It was definitely more refreshing when you didn't have to deal with that.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas stepped through the portal with Mirai, looking around at the familiar scene. He spotted the tree where he had been sitting under when he'd first interacted with Shira. He laughed slightly as he recalled their interaction began with Shira realizing he was checking her out. That was just before his first trip into the book of Eibon which had solidified his friendship with her, Atticus and Michi. "This takes me back," he told Mirai. And I just want to show them.

Not only that but Texas had done several years of maturing in the few weeks that had gone by for the others, both physically and mentally. "I wonder what they'll say?" And I just want to show them.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas grinned and shrugged. "True true. Besides, my Cleansing Soul ability means I couldn't hide my soul even if I tried." His smile faded slightly as he watched Mirai. "Are you okay?" He asked, almost seeming to sense that something was bothering her. It may be that they'd had so much psychic communication that Texas was subtly picking up on what Mirai was feeling even if she didn't say so verbally, or perhaps he had been with her long enough to just tell. Perhaps a combination of both. And I just want to show them.

Mirai was silent for a few moments "Is it... wrong... that part of me really doesn't want to sacrifice myself for my brother?" she asked quietly as she glanced at the ground. She really didn't want to die if what Despair said was true. She had so much she could do. An open path basically with nothing in her way. She had a great partner, she was on good terms with Vin, and so many things were beginning to look better for her and then Despair said she would have to die for Atticus to live. It wasn't fair.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas took Mirai by the shoulders and spun her to face him. "No!" He told her. "It's not your fault Atticus got in the position he's in. Don't feel like you have to be a martyr! Mirai....if I lost you....especially if it was because you left I....." he shook his head before looking away. "I don't know what I would do." That last sentence was a lie. He was pretty sure he knew what he would do. He would be consumed by despair and by the anger he had fought so hard to control. He would go back to The Machinist Order. Probably not right away. No, he would try and hang on to this life. But he wouldn't be able to do it. There was no one else out there who he could count on. Shira maybe, but she was with Atticus and Texas didn't think he could take being around Atticus if Mirai died for him. And I just want to show them.
