Ephraim's body began to instinctively move to dodge out of the way of the incoming beams, though it would seem that was unnecessary, as the intervention of a certain mermaid allowed him to keep the Reaper effectively held down. He glanced towards Azura as she made her way towards them. "I'm... fine." He took a deep breath, allowing himself to calm down from his more wild, battle-hungry state. The blood and sweat mildly covering him might imply he wasn't at 100%, but he clearly seemed capable enough still to take down a Reaper without Siegmund. And the water might help with the blood and sweat thing a bit. Ephraim leaned back a bit, taking his knee away from her wound but still keeping it on her to keep her from moving. "She was pretending to be Tana, and apparently the Reapers have captured Tana. If they have Tana, it stands to reason they could have others as well." He looked at Azura sharply. "No closer--stay where you are," he said seriously as she began to near them. "Can you prove to me that you're really Azura?" He didn't like to be wary of her, but he needed to keep an appropriate level of caution. If they targeted Tana, it was possible they might target anyone close to Ephraim, and that would make Azura a prime target. He wasn't certain that he was the one they were trying to get to, but it wasn't implausible with how hated he assumed was by those who followed Krul. And as long as he knew and was free, he could do something about this plan of theirs--if he lowered his guard too much, things could become difficult. (( OOC: ))

    It wasn't really until she got close enough to see the red covering parts of his clothing. It was hard to miss all the dead bodies and he massacre of monsters he so obviously defeated, so her mind immediately hoped that every drop of that blood on his clothing belonged to them, and the Reaper Ephraim had down, even if she didn't one hundred percent deserve it. "That isn't your blood? " The hope in her voice was pretty clear, she didn't want to hear any chance that he himself was injured. He wasn't one to get hurt and Azura was very confidant in his abilities to keep safe and unharmed. "We can never be free of the troublesome Reapers, can we? " It seemed no matter who they took out, such as Krul, she found some magical way to survive and despite how horribly she treated her following Reapers, they still followed her. Maybe they ALL were cursed by the mind control she had on Viola.She was about to speak again, when she caught his worried demands to stay back.Of course she stopped, and stood there a small distance away. Due to the circumstances, she could understand his level of paranoia! "Our first meeting was at the arena of the Gold Saucer, and the beginning of our love. " Talk about a destined meeting, they fought and found love on the same day. "You had such a handsome, confidant look.." She could have gone on more of every detail that she loved about that moment, but it was hardly the time to start flirting and day-dreaming! "It went so well with that kiss.." She said that part to his mind, she did so love how direct he was in that very moment. "Though, if you need further proof.." After all, if these Reapers were able to take memories, they might of seen into her memories. So it wasn't exactly solid proof.
Her hand raised to grasp the pendant around her neck, the same small pearl that seemed to always radiate a soft blue glow at all times. Giving it a small tug, the necklace would slip off her neck, and she would let it fall from her hands, to the ground.
It was at that moment that it was no longer touching her body, that Azura's form entirely began to radiate in that same blue glow, and her human form would be replaced to that of her true mermaid form. Ephraim would know very well, that she was never eager to be in this form in front of anyone other then people she trusted or knew well to be comfortable. But to do this in front of a Reaper, it was pretty terribly embarrassing. "...Is this...proof enough? " She asked into his mind, as she sat there on the ground looking rather uncomfortable! It wouldn't be to any Reaper's knowledge of how uncomfortable she felt in this form, so no matter how much she hated it, it was the best way to prove it to him.

Is everyone ready? We're going to win."Ephraim shook his head at her first inquiry. "I took a few hits here and there but I'm fine." The impaled Reaper and legion of monster corpses were likely the source of most of the blood on him. "I wonder..." He said to himself at her next words. It seemed as though nothing except total annihilation would solve the problem, if even that. But even then, not all Reapers were evil. Ephraim had no desire to see a genocide of the entire race, but something had to be done at some point. Hopefully something less extreme.
He kept his focus on her as she began to attempt to prove herself to him. He didn't exactly have a sixth sense like the Serenitians, so he felt the need to show extra caution. Granted, he didn't know how well that sense could even detect an impostor in this instance, but regardless. "...Well, that..." To think about how he had acted when they first met. He was so very direct, which wasn't odd on the battlefield or elsewhere, but in terms of romance? It surprised him thinking back on that. He had never exactly been the most romantic. As one could see with Tana, he wasn't the best at reading women's romantic interest in him. He certainly didn't regret his actions though--at the time he had already found Azura very attractive, but for her to display enough strength and skill to defeat him? He had been completely taken with her.
"...Ah..." He covered his face slightly, with his free hand, glancing away.as if to hide his slight nervousness. What a silly thing, still becoming somewhat flustered at her mermaid form--but it was so breathtakingly gorgeous he just couldn't help himself sometimes. "That will suffice, I would think... I apologize for being suspicious, but I can't take chances." If he wanted to save Tana and whomever else was targeted here, being captured himself could prove to be detrimental. It could also possibly help, but that was too much of a gambit to take this early. Ephraim gave her a few moments to return to her human form, since that would probably be more comfortable, before continuing. "She's said that this plan of theirs involves only specific Reapers, so it's possible the Reapers have split-" It was complete reflex due to the movement in his peripheral vision that caused Ephraim to raise his spear horizontally, blocking the massive shield that almost slammed into him. The force behind the shield caused him to skid back several feet in a standing position. A certain pink-haired Reaper queen (not the one you might think) appeared there, pulling the shield back and hopping up in the same motion, intending to deliver a dropkick to Ephraim's face.
... But the instant the shield was pulled back, Ephraim dropped his spear, pivoting his body to dodge her attack and grabbing her by the legs."Huh?!"And immediately using that hold to turn, slamming her into the ground. Forcing his foot below Reginleif, he popped it up into the air, grabbing it and stomping onto one of Velora's upper arms, thrusting the spear down towards her neck."Tch!" Raising her arm that wasn't pinned down, she caught the spear below the blade, holding it there a small distance from piercing her throat. Though it was a bit of a struggle. "Gahh, this isn't how I pictured this going...!" She said, perturbed. "Aren't you supposed to be exhausted?! Why are you still this strong...?!" He was not one to be taken lightly. Despite being a human in a world of superhumans and demons, she still considered him the biggest obstacle in the way of her conquest. "I'm not your enemy here!" As she clearly proved by attacking him unprovoked. "I just need to speak to Viola!!" Letting out a loud grunt, she lifted a leg, pressing it to Ephraim's gut and using it to force him back, before rolling backwards and getting back to her feet. "Viola, what is the meaning of this?" She asked her, getting down to one knee and covering her wound, and Viola would start to feel relief from the pain. Not so much the exhaustion and discomfort, but the excruciating pain would begin to decline at least. "I didn't order anything like this. Why have a few of the Reapers moved on this plan...? Is Krul back and directing her pathetic followers? That wouldn't explain you, though. I've been keeping tabs on all the Reapers. I thought you hated Krul." Was there someone else inciting a potential insurrection? But who else could it be except Krul? To her knowledge, the only Reapers who actually showed leadership capabilities were herself and Krul. She didn't trust most of the Reapers to lead literal cattle, much less an entire race or a group of intelligent(ish) individuals."If you words are true then it would seem my assumption was correct.""I have little reason to lie on this matter. If this group is moving independently of my command then that makes them traitors, and possible future rebels. I need to stamp them out..." Those last words sounded a bit terrifying, but the entire statement was said mostly to herself. "Well, King Ephraim. You want to save your friends, I want to kill traitors. It seems our interests might just align this once..." Getting Ephraim and Velora to join against you. That would be quite the misstep. "I think perhaps we should-" ...she only just then noticed Azura was there. "...Oh!!!" She inhaled sharply, turning away for a moment and brushing off some dirt, and trying to make her hair look more presentable, before turning back. "I-I didn't even notice you there, Princess Azura. I, ah, I'm a big fan. I-I don't know if you remember, we actually met once before! A-at the... at the cafe!" Gosh, seeing the Reaper Queen act like such a dorky fan talking to someone as though they were a celebrity was quite the sight. "I just... you're cool, that's all! You know... really cool..." Play it cool, Velora! Don't act like a creepy fangirl! You'll scare her away! "W-will you sign my face?!" Ugh! Idiot! "I-I mean! I'm joking! It's! A joke! HAHA!" ...Velora was certainly something else.(( OOC: ))

Azura didn't wait a moment more, the second he felt he was able to trust her, she quickly took hold of the pendant, and again set the necklace around her neck. With a touch to the pearl, Azura's would return back to her human form and slowly, awkwardly get back to her feet! Though it did take another moment to fix her dress, which wasn't so perfectly in place until she straightened it out a little. Finally, she would continue to her destination, which was right along side Ephraim. "You don't need to apologize for being careful. I feel like the Reapers will always be in our lives, both the bad and good.." Unfortunately for them, they seemed to attract the bad ones the most." What is it they want with you now? " It was questionable to her, she wasn't used to seeing other Reapers targeting Ephraim, that seemed to be Krul's job. So why was Viola interested in him now? Him and Tana, who didn't seem as lucky, from what little information she got so far. It didn't yet register to her that they were after the sacred weapons.
With Azura's attention on Viola for the brief moment, she didn't notice what was coming from out of no where, funny enough considering just how large the object was.Lucky for Ephraim, his senses were sharp and before any real damage could be done, his quick reflexes saved him. In the time it took for him to turn the tables against their surprise visit, Azura was preparing her own magic...
Only for the water gathering around her to...fall back into the earth. Velora was already quickly handled by Ephraim, and really, she didn't actually WANT to hurt her. How could she hurt her crazy fan? She may never have another Reaper fan again. Considering who she was, she was certain Ephraim didn't want to harm her ether.
The second the pain began to fade, while her energy didn't return, what she did have left was used to reach out her arm suddenly, and shove Velora back which she would use the second to roll away, and return to her feet. Her form however, was hardly perfect, it was actually...quite sad looking. She was slightly hunched over, looking as though she would collapse at any moment despite looking like a rabid animal ready to attack."Krul...will get what she wants...at any cost...There are only...four left.." That may of answered one question, Krul was alive and well..
And there came the most awkward moment of the day, far worse then her having to show her mermaid form in front of someone she wasn't comfortable with! It was the sudden change in a very serious situation, brought on by the cheerful voice of Velora the moment she realized her mermaid idol was there. Azura's face would take on a soft shade of pink, while she seemed to be trying to look away, in attempt to hold back her giggling. She truly was an evil Reaper, to make her laugh at such an inappropriate time! "..Um..Velora, at another time...a less troublesome time, you and I can spend a little time together and talk...I would love to get to know you more..as part of our family..." She may not of been her daughter, nor did she share any real bond with Ephraim, her father, but maybe there was a chance that she could help her feel what a real family was like. Away from the Reapers..."But first, we need to stop what it is Krul is planning, and retrieve our friends.."

Is everyone ready? We're going to win.""I'm not sure," Ephraim said, shaking his head. "They seem to be targeting the Sacred Twins from my world--weapons like my Siegmund and Eirika's Sieglinde. It may be that their aim is simply to eliminate the threat of these weapons." It was a very simple plan, but he supposed that was very much like Krul. She wasn't the most brilliant tactician ever.Shortly after her little exchange with Ephraim, came Viola's attempt to shove her away. Now, Viola was a very strong girl, but in her state as she was, she didn't have much hope of pushing Velora around. She gave her a look, and a moment later, Viola would feel someone pulling her ear. "Silly Viola, did you go and get indoctrinated? Krul does love her little mind tricks, doesn't she." She pulled a little harder on her ear. "Do you even recognize me? We're friends, you know. We've been through a lot together! I know you just have the biggest fetish for Teresa,and other helpless girls, and-" she glanced over at Ephraim and Azura. "...Well, I guess I won't continue in such a public place..." She glanced back down to Viola. "You left Krul because she left you for dead. You don't remember that? Ephraim almost killed you, but a cute pink-haired someone saved you..." It was Velora in fact, while disguised as a Serenitian. What a situation this was, Velora trying to come to her rescue once again.
Turning her attention to Azura once again, she had such a wide smile when she looked at her. It wasn't exactly creepy--like a Reaper sizing up its Serenitian prey, but more so just a starstruck fan. "Ahh... being family with someone so cool... it's tempting, but unfortunately I don't think we'll ever have such a relationship." She would leave that there for now. She had too many ambitions--too lofty goals to allow herself to just have a nice, simplistic life with a loving family. Her people continued to suffer in the dark, and she would bring light to their desolate race. ...But that was for another time..."Do you know where Krul and her followers would be?""Hmm? Oh, yes. Of course. I know everything that goes on in that realm. Well... most of everything, I suppose. There's a ruined old chapel far away from the castle you know of. The Reapers stay away from it due to a silly old curse, and thus it would be the most opportune place to consort against the throne. If Krul is hiding in my realm, that's where she would be." She put a finger to her chin. "If she's kidnapping people, that would mean she's probably making use of Void..." She said that part more to herself. Since she no longer had access to the castle and thus no access to the dungeon, it would make the most sense. And Void herself always was a Krul bootlicker. "Just another one to add to the furnace~" Velora said, her cutesy tone belying the terrifying statement she said."Take us there.""Whoa there, Your Majesty. I don't need your help stomping Krul and her little bugs." But then again, it was Krul, so having more assistance couldn't hurt. But she really didn't feel like asking public enemy number 1 to help with her problems. She had plenty of Reapers at her beck and call she could use instead, but if things went awry, Ephraim's help would be invaluable. What a dilemma!(( OOC: ))

"What a strange plan..as if they are the only threat to them. There are plenty of things out there Reapers like Krul would fall easily to.." Like Unisha and Artemis, and obviously Nero if he ever decided to get off his chocolate shakes and throne, to do something!! If it wasn't for the substance Ephraim used against her to keep her from teleporting away, she would have been long gone by now! Instead, her fate was to look foolish and weak, not to mention enraged with not a lot she could do to but endure a uncomfortable tugging at her ear.
Her only attempt to stop her was the moment she reached out to grab her hand, which she would try to shove away from her ear. "....You will say anything to trick me.." She didn't seem to show any interest in her brief story, did she forgot everything, or were those memories put on a sort of hold while she was under Krul's control?
The moment Velora turned to Azura, Peppit suddenly reappeared, right under Viola. She couldn't teleport, but she still had her trusty pet. A very strange pet at that. "You will never find her, you know...You think it's that easy?! You will all die trying. " And with those words, she was gone with the help of Peppit to fly off!

    Woo-whoo. There was no town, no city at all they could even see from the distance, just a whole lot of land and forests! What did that mean? It meant a night of camping. That wasn't SO terrible, but the sounds of the nightfall was really starting to creep her out. The monsters of this world were not only also creepy, but powerful as well. The sounds they made come nightfall was enough to scare even a group of strong men! "..This is so not like back at home..." She glanced at the other ladies, it was safe to say, all of them were fully on alert and very uncomfortable in their new home. Each time another horrible screech and growl came, it almost seemed like the girls scooted closer...and closer to each other. The only good thing for them was the crackling fire they put together, it seemed to scare the monsters away, at least, it kept them a safe distance away! "So...who's going to keep watch tonight...? " She really hoped they wouldn't say her! "I can do it, I've stayed up many nights to watch the stars, I enjoy it.." Though, the setting was a lot prettier at home, it wasn't filled with horrifiying monsters seeking them out for snacks! Still, she was more capable then Lissa, next in line would be Eirika, clearly she knew how to fight. "..Let's just hope nothing happens, so long as we keep this fire going, I think......I think we'll be fine!" "Thiiink...I'm not feeling very comfortable by 'think'! " She sighed.. "But..It's better then me. I don't think I would be very reliable trying to stay up all night. " She would totally fall asleep, and they'd all be eaten! Though it was also possible, that nether of them would get a second of sleep with all the sounds, and worry on top of the mind really didn't help matters, especially knowing about the Reaper that now wanted their blood, a creature with teleporting abilities at that. How much worse could it get?!

       L'Arachel propped herself against the base of a rather massive tree, patting her lap as a invitation for Lissa to use her as a pillow. She wouldn't let a child sleep on the dirt! It may not be comfortable for her, but she would make sure the little one had a comfortable sleep at the very least. It would also help to keep them warmer during the cold night. So far, they had been very lucky on there journey, not a single monster was saw, much less found anywhere. Little did she know, a certain princess and her group were actually drawing all of the monsters towards them, as they...were slowly being stalked. Because of there presence, and slightly larger group, the creatures followed them for quite a ways, basically leaving a lot of other area's clear, that included there shelter for the night, the forest that was normally crawling with monsters! "If you need anything, you will tell me won't you? Please don't wander off alone.." She might never find her in this forest! It was rather massive.
It wasn't long before their tiresome walking had really took its toll, it seemed the moment they were both comfortable enough, they began to fall asleep..
