Siefren Frederic Downing Siefren Frederic Downing Siefren I'm a bit confused, You mean how Devil may Cry was an attempt at making the original 4 RE game, but totally took another direction? No no. The first Devil May Cry was an attempt to make Resident Evil 2, but they got so off track they ended up with something completely different. Wait, are you sure? When did the first devil may cry come out? RE2 came out in 98 I do believe, and i thought devil may cry came out sometime in 2002. Pretty very sure: Devil May Cry (デビル メイ クライ) is a series of five hack and slash video games set in the modern day. The series was developed by Capcom and created by Hideki Kamiya. Originally intended to be a sequel in Capcom's Resident Evil series, Devil May Cry was such a radical departure from the series' style that it was developed into a new property entirely.- from Wikipedia. You see there though? It said it was suppose to be a sequel to the Resident Evil Series, not RE2 though. I do believe that Devil May Cry was suppose to be the 4th installment in the RE series, but as stated, was too dramatically different. Ah well, a simple confusion in the numbering I think.

Has anyone heard if Operation Raccoon City will bring a decent single player mode? If not I don't know how I'd feel about this game. Even Outbreak had a decent old school RE single player campaign.

No. I don't think any gameplay or even a trailer has come out yet. All I can really say is give a shot. You can't be sure that you'll hate a game because of what you heard. I mean for exemple I like the game Lux Pain even though it got a pretty bad reveiw. I like Outbreak serise well. Aside from the Virus meter. I mean it was a cool idea, but I like to take my time unless I have a reason to rush.

Actually there's been 3 trailers released for it, an extended trailer, the original, and Resident Evil 15th aniversary featuring multiple games being ported to other systems, with HD graphics. That'd be RECVX, RE4 are both coming out for the xbox in HD, the ORC game, Revelations and Mercenaries.
From what I read, there will be a single player mode for the ORC, but that it's also going to have multiplayer co-op.

You know the co-op sounds fun. I mean there aren't many Resident Evil games where you can play with a buddy.

I'd certainly like to play it, especially since they're suppose to be implementing the Run and shoot thing in other games in it. Not the Run, Stop, Aim, Shoot, that we all know and love with the original RE games lol. ^_^
I'd certainly like to play a co-op RE game, but with the actual characters, and not these new ones. Sort of how RE5 was, but with the run and shoot capability. Though I will admit, I'd like to try this game out to see how it is.

New characters can be fun. Unless there all going to be like HUNK. As cool as a guy with so far no real personility can be, it'd be boreing if they were all like him. Besides if it were to invole actual characters they would just remake 2 and 3. Which I still think they should.

As far as Capcom is concerned, The Chronicle series is the remake to 2 and 3.

Well they've remade the first game about 4 times. Serousily we get the picture Weskers a tratior. It's Umbrellas fault. So I think they'd be able to do it again.

Technically, the first game has only been remade twice, the other stuff is just ports to other systems. The Remake itself, and the extras added into Umbrella chronicles. But even what happened in UC wasn't much different from what did happen in the first one, except we get the story that Jill and Chris did not seperate. I wonder what they'd say is the true cannon. Honestly though, if you think about it, how the chronicle series went, it was a smarter move on the character's behalf, Jill and Chris stuck together, Leon and Claire stuck together, If it was me, I would have never seperated from the only other living person I'd met in an outbreak like that you know? ^_^

Yes we all that during a zombie outbreak you should stick together but for whatever reason they don't. They probably think "I'm a main character so it'll be fine." Of course this isn't MGS where they break the fourth wall. Well I don't think we can blame Jill or Chirs since one of them dissappears at the begginging and only reunite at the very end.
