The VR Kai shimmered and was swept aside, as the VR...dust faded away, another Kai stood there, but something was off...his eyes were yellow. "Why? Because I am the shadow...the true self. And the bonds of friendship are best left to rot in the dirt, so I won't be betrayed again."

Shadow Kai laughed. "He's too much of a p***y to say anything to anyone, a guy like him just can't stand to lose friends." Kai grinned. "And those idiotic beliefs he holds made him push me to the side...I'll kill him and take my place as Kai."

Shadow Kai looked at the wall. "If he was here to deny me, this would be over. But it's in my nature...no our nature to wipe out the weaklings first." Kai looked at Devon. "Once again, I find myself wondering why he sticks to you and this puny group. You never even looked at him with the eyes of a friend."

"You never cared about me! You never even noticed these!" Kai held his arms out to Devon, the bottoms of his wrists criss crossed with scars of varying degrees of deepness. "None of you care..." Kai's face was contorted with rage.
