As the light turned green, Ako fired. The arc of electricity jumped from the cannon to the suit almost instantly, filling the room with a roaring buzz. The arc danced and wriggled in the air, it's contact point on the suit jumped from surface to surface, trying to find a weak point in the metal.
Ako gritted his teeth and brought up his other hand to support the one holding the cannon as he fed more power through it. His face twisted in rage, he wanted it all out, every last drop of electricity.

Gidget shields her eyes as she squints to watch the display before her. The suit is doing exactly what she'd designed it to do. The lightning coming from Ako is dancing around it without actually coming into direct contact with the metal. The field surrounding it is keeping the circuit from becoming complete by matching the incoming polarity of the lightning.
She had taken to account that this would cause the electricity to rebound and damage anything around the suit, so she had built a single opposing polar point in the suit's back.
Gidget looks down at the readings on her holo-watch and her eyes widen. She grabs a hold of a microphone and yells into it. It broadcasts out of the speakers on the table near Ako, "Ako that's good! You can stop now! I have the data I need!"

Ako ignored her, putting more power into the cannon. She wanted to test this thing to make sure it could stand up to a powerful attack, so why stop there? Why not push the envelope as far as possible? It felt good to use this much power, it felt good to let it out. All this time he'd been holding it back, keeping it contained. Now was his chance to release, under controlled conditions where no one would be hurt. Maybe if he let it all out he could go back to being normal, and could go back to a normal life among the regular people.

"Gidget, he's not stopping." Noticing there were dark shadows behind him she started to formulate a dangerous idea. "Do you have a plan b? I think I have one that I may be crazy enough to try." her eyes glowed as she thought of her next move.

Gidget bites her bottom lip. She doesn't have a plan B. She shouts into the microphone again, "Ako please stop. There is a feedback occurring between the cannon and the polarity field. If you don't stop the cannon will explode!"

Tansy frowned deeply. She looked back at forth between the two girls that stood between her and Ako. She had no idea what was going on, but if they didn't do something fast... well, she didn't want to think of what could happen.

TrInity could see that he wasn't going to respond. "Gidget, I'm going to get my Plan B ready if he doesn't respond to your third call. Do you have a rubber suit? I think I can knock him down. If possible I'd like to be able to use some protection."

Gidget shakes her head frantically, "I don't have a rubber suit. The closest thing I have is getting toasted by Ako." She clicks the mic again and yells, "Ako please, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have forced you to do it. Stop or you'll kill yourself."

Ako heard her, but his mind was too focused on feeding more energy to the cannon. He could feel it heating up, he knew it wasn't going to last, but neither was he. He hadn't eaten much or gotten any proper sleep since the unknown incident in the hospital. He hadn't had a chance to recharge in any way, and it was getting harder and harder to bring up the last dregs of his power.
At Gidget's third warning he was almost out. Like a battery at the end of it's life, his power simply gave out. The beam coming out of the cannon faltered and disappeared, the cannon itself powered down, and Ako dropped his arms before dropping to his knees. It felt like it was gone. All of it. He was out of juice. He let go of the cannon and brought his hands up, flexing the fingers. He smiled when no sparks jumped, not even when he tried.

Tansy gasped as she moved quickly out from behind the shield, and ran over to him. "Ako... Are you okay?" She asked softly as she sat her hands on his shoulders. Worry was written across her face as she checked him over with her eyes. She bit into her bottom lip and tilted her head.

Trinity was going to simply launch herself at him. Then Gidget pointed out the suit. Her train of thought changed course thinking she could get into the suit and use it to stop Ako but that halted because she remembered that only Gidget could control it with her jack at the back of her head. She could get Gidget in there and she could take it from there. Then she noticed the electricity died down, part of her was a litle disappointed that she couldn't put her plan into action. Since the training she had been anxious to test her limits and power. Yet the rest of her was relieved that she didnt have to take him down. She watched as Angel ask if he was okay, she began to wonder the same too as she walked out from behind the sheild and saw his face. He seemed drained.

"Tansy, it's gone." Ako said as he looked up at her, smiling. "I, I got rid of it. All of it. I'm safe now, I can't hurt anyone now."
He felt weaker, but only from the missing electricity. He still had the physical strength the meteor gave him, but that would be easier to control.

Gasping out a sob, her wrapped her arms around Ako's shoulders and pulled him close to her. Resting her own head on top of his and tears streamed down her face. "Don't scare me like that!" She scolded him, as if he were a child. She took another gasping breath before she tried to clam herself. Letting him go, she placed her hands on his shoulder and tried to smiled at him through her tears which streamed down her cheeks.

Gidget slowly approaches the group. She is about to say something to Ako when she sees Tansy wrap her arms around Ako. The green flair rears it's ugly head in her. She holds her hands to her side and says flatly and coldly, "Stupid, you haven't gotten rid of anything. Our powers run on calories, Shane said so. When you eat, or drink, anything they will be back. You almost killed yourself, and possibly us along with you, because you want to get rid of your powers. Well guess what, it's never happened. It will never happen."
She turns and walks up to the suit. There is a high pitched hum emanating from it. She places her hand on the chassis and it releases a great gust of steam. The suit opens and a dummy tumbles out, completely untouched. Gidget watches it fall and then looks down at her feet. She mutters, "The field is a success. Thank you Ako, and sorry again."
She reaches into her overalls and takes out a small palm sized computer. She plugs a USB cable into an open port inside of the suit. She starts solemnly typing away at it, silently letting her tears fall without a huff.

Trinity watched as the events unfold and saw that Gidget seemed upset. Slowly she approaches her and sat next to her. She couldn't really see the tears but she could tell she was still miffed. She didn't want to start off with the obvious question until she calmed a little, "Calories huh? It wouldnt be my first guess...Didn't quite make sense at first since it was a meteor from space that hit us but I guess the body was able to figure that out right? Thinking about it makes my wonder how it's able to figure that part out. How is it concistant with the diverse powers everyone gained through the process? Which also makes me wonder if our power could run on something else?"
