"I have a new lung, yes..."Kuro sighed."It should only take a while...You should know that those who are born unto angels normally heal swiftly...Even if scars may still show..."He said quietly tracing the largest scar on his body, which ran down his chest at a slant, starting at his left shoulder, going all the way to the gauze on his torso."Before I tell you anything else...I want you to know...I'm grateful..."He sighed."Now since I know you're wondering about this scar...It's the first one that ever landed on my body..."He started.

Kuro sighed and grabbed a paper cup filling it with water from the small water cooler by his hospital bed.He downed the drink quicklyand continued."The scar...Was given to me in my first fight...The first event that triggered my unfortunate life..."He cleared his throat and reminisced before going on."I was being picked on...A stone was thrown...And I lost it...Back then I was still as pure as you...I still didn't know of my wings and...I guess the anger and hatred I felt must have caused them to erupt frommy back...The kids ganged up on me shouting I was some kind of freak...So they attacked me...I was able to defend myself but one kid actually had a knife and he rushed me...Slashing a swath diagonally down my body..."He closed his eyes, grimacing as if the pain had returned to him."I'm sorry if I may have just given you an answer to a question you wouldn't have asked...."He said upon opening his eyes.

He slowly opened his eyes, the kncoking out effect of the drug had started to wear off. He was still weak and weary, and couldn't do much with his mind. So he did the only thing he could do. He noticed Riiko was asleep, and used his mind to get blanket out of the closet and drapped it on her. His eyes started to close again, and he went into a light sleep, the energy drained from him when he used his mind. He drifted into a dream about Natishka, her life, until she died, then his life aterwards, up until he met Riiko. He mumbled in his sleep. "A new beginning..."

He woke up again and looked at Riiko huggin her knees and looking out the window. "Riiko... are you alright?" He got up and looked around. The hospital? Oh right... He slowly got up out of bed and put a hand on Riiko's shoulder. "Good morning." He felt bad for nto telling her the entire truth. Would she still love him if she found out he wasn't entirely human? He shook away the thought. Right now, he was only glad she was safe.

He looked at her. "You didn't have to worry about me... I guess now would be a good time to reveal a bit more of my past then?" He moved his hand and wiped the tears from hers eyes. He knew she cared so much about him. Hopefully, they wouldn't be bothered anymore, and they could live happily, without anyone trying to take her away from him, and vice versa.

He put his hand on hers. "It's not really my past so much as it is me. This will also explain the many scars all over my back." He swung his legs over the side so he faced her. "I'm not entirely human. I don't really think you could call me anything but an expirement or a weapon." He looked down at the ground. "When I was a young boy, they selected me and, of course, Natishka. They did operations, injections, expiremetns, all in the name of the military. I was their best example. Their most valuable weapon. We were programmed not to have emotions, not to feel pain, nothing."

"Well, I started to show emotion, have feelings. That means, to them, I was broken." He looked down at the ground again. He wanted her to be as safe as possible. He felt as if he was going to lose her because of who he was. "I'm sorry I hid that from you, I thought it would make you feel different about me."

He felt the kiss. He felt a fire burning inside him deeply, and he kissed her deeply than she had kissed him. "Thank you Riiko." He went over to the window and put a hand on his neck. He felt a small mosquito bite like bump in a few places. "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine, that was just a drugging agent. I'll only be weak for a while, but nothing more."

"Let's. I don't need to stay here." He retruend the kiss, but on the lips instead. "Let's go to the courtyard, unless you need to get more sleep." He laughed and looked into her eyes. He felt something, deep in her eyes. He felt that she had something inside of her yet to ocme out, something powerful. "Hey, if your father was royalty, dosen't that make you next in line?"
