"But I'm not even human... hell, it would be better if I was even just a full vampire... but... I don't even belong to either category..." Travis said.

"No, you're a dhampir," Hanabi said. "That's the name for a half-vampire." Then she added, "And who cares about that? You're still the same Travis."

Sangre was outside, sitting on a chair near the swimming pool and simply gazing at the water, in nothing but her lingerie because she couldn't find another friggin robe in the entire bloody house, and her clothes and first robe where in the washer.

Hanabi lightly flicked Travis's forehead. "If you die, that's one more person for me to cry for..."

Hanabi decided it was time to change the subject. "So do you want anything? Water? Food?" she asked him.

Sangre threw her clothes into the dryer and turned it on before looking down at herself.
"Gah, ******** it," she muttered darkly, turning to enter the house again. She stepped into the kitchen, ignoring the way she was dressed. Travis would just have to deal with it, and Hanabi was a woman too. Sangre hoped she was mature enough.
She totally forgot about the awful bruisings on her right shoulder.
"C'mon, Hanabi," she breathed. "Let him rest. The dining table might not be the most comfortable, but that's what he gets for trying to kill himself." Then she shot Travis a look. "And don't you DARE try to move, Sir Bookworm. You're staying there until the life gets back into your face."
After all, he was still deathly pale.

Sangre's eyes narrowed.
"And blushing doesn't count," she snapped impatiently, oddly disgruntled. Then again, she just had to save someone's life. It would be understandable why she would be tense.

Hanabi turned slightly red. "A- all right," she said. Then she noticed the bruises on Sangre's shoulder.
