"You're very trusting." Faye murmured, now even more worried for the girl and determined to walk her home. She twirled her parasol again and kept in step with Megan. "And I don't like it when people die." She paused, her eyes distant as she spoke. "People always seem so lost when someone dies, it's like the dead have taken part of them with them forever and they can't get it back..."

"I also know karate and akido." Megan said with a smile, which vanished quickly. "That's...a very grim, but true, thought..."

"I apologize." Faye spoke softly, honestly, "I have been told that I'm morbid when I talk for too long. I have been attempting to curb it."
The pale girl spoke so earnestly it was as if she was expecting to be chastized like a child caught with their hand in the cookie jar, for lack of a better analogy. She pursed her lips in thought and then turned to Megan, her red eyes brightening.
"Perhaps you could tell me more about yourself? More of how you live and that could help me to improve on my faults?"

Megan chuckled. "Nothing wrong with being morbid." She blinked. "Hmmmm I dunno if you'd be interested. My life's pretty boring."

"Possibly." Faye shrugged, "But what one might consider to be boring could be considered fascinating to others. Like for example... secret agents. They fly around with jet packs and save damsels in distress and they do this every day so it becomes monotonous to them. But people in the movie industries still make hundreds of films about them correct?"
The pale girl smiled. "It's all a matter of perspective. You could always tell me something and then... I could tell you something." She offered shyly.

Megan chuckled. "Okay, you win. I have a fairly unevenful life. I wake up at 7, do some correspondance school work, and read, or sew, or knit, or dozens of other things for the rest of the day. Sometimes I help my sister with her painting, or help the other one with her gardening, or help my brother with his music." She shrugged. "You don't have to tell me anything, if you don't want to." She smiled.

Faye smiled and shook her head. "It would be unfair to withhold such trivial things about myself. I wake up... sometime after noon." The girl blushed, "The sun hurts my eyes so I try to live out of it as much as possible. My parents are speaking of sending me out to a boarding school that can help me to improve on my language skills. Father doesn't like it but Mother promised that it would be close by so they could visit... and mama I think she agrees with Father as well but she's not about to upset Mother..."

"That sounds...complicated." Megan said. "Mama, Mother, and Father?" She raised an eyebrow, but wasn't going tp push it, guessing at some sort of divorce. "I think you speak fine. Unless they don't mean your English?"

Faye smiled and shook her head a bit, her ringletts springing with her movements. "Not my English, no. I'm learning German, French and Spanish." She absently twirled the handle on the parasole as they walked, her eyes watching out for any predators, though she didn't expect too many to come with her nearby. Things that went bump in the night tended to stray away from her for some reason.

"At the same time?" Megan's eyes widened a little. "How can you keep that all straight? I can barely learn one language at a time, and it's taken me years."

Faye laughed. "It can be confusing. But I have known French for many years, to continue in this new school is basically just to be speaking it so I don't loose it. Spanish is similar to French and German... it's just... I don't know, it's something I want to know so I make myself learn as much as I can. They're all romance languages however, so once I get a foot in one they all fall in line. If that makes any sense."

Faye shrugged again. "Sometimes you just have to have a passion for certain things. Like I couldn't stand to sit around for too long with knitting. I'm not that good with my hands."

"I suppose you're right." Megan said, looking off slightly. "I just got into knitting because it bored my sisters to death and they wouldn't bug me. Hated it at first, really. But eh, it grew on me." She stuck her tongue out of the corner of her mouth. "Like a fungus."

Faye looked at her a moment as if trying to tell if she was kidding or not. She'd never seen anyone getting into a hobby simply because of their siblings. But it was a good idea... perhaps she would have to try knitting again some time...
