Suru looked up, beaming warmly. He put down his coffee and padded to the door, adjusting his boxers on his hips and brushing his hair out of his eyes. He threw the door open, grinning, immediately standing on his toes to kiss Jak, arm snaking around his waist.
"Welcome home."

Jak grinned as the door opened, a slight sigh the only evidence of nerves as he stepped forward. Slipping a hand around Suru's neck as their lips met, he murmured softly, his hand caressing a bare arm. "Morning gorgeous."

Suru hummed pleasantly, sitting back on the soles of his feet again, shifting to nuzzle Jak's hand, lightly.
"Come on inside. Tessie's out back and Canti will be up soon, I can make breakfast."

A warm smile lighting his eyes, Jak pulled away, leaning down to grab his suitcase, dropping it just inside the door as he closed it behind him.
"Sounds great...do I smell coffee?" He shrugged out of his jacket dropping camera and coat on a nearby chair as he moved toward the kitchen.

"Mmmhm."
He padded in behind him, sliding into the kitchen to pour a cup out for Jak.
"So, did you talk to Akki and Po? Are they coming, too?"

Jak accepted the cup, nodding slightly as he slid out a chair, dropping down casually.
"Havent seen Akki. I assume she's off with Kalan making wedding plans...or otherwise," he chuckled softly.
"Po wants to talk to Canti before he decides. I think he will though, if he's sure its what she wants."

Suru took a seat next to him, laying his legs across Jak's legs, grinning.
"Canti might want to get a place with Po. Gods ... the house would be so quiet. I hardly notice Tess around, she's so quiet. She's a sweet girl, she's wonderful, but Canti is my noisemaker. It would be so strange without her."

Jak grinned back, resting a hand lightly on a bare thigh.
"I think Po felt a little awkward moving in without talking to her first. Either way, I'm sure you'll still see plenty of her love."

Suru laughed, softly, sipping his coffee.
"That's ... understandable. I think I probably scared him a little when we met the first time. Did he ever tell you about it?"

Jak lifted his own cup, chuckling. "He did mention something about those weapons on your wall. But I think something else scared him more that night."

Suru grinned sheepishly, but didn't elaborate, sipping at his coffee.
"I finished up that last chapter. The new volume's done, so I get a couple weeks before I have to start the next one."

Pleased, Jak grinned back, sipping his own coffee.
"Any special plans?" He reached over, stroking Suru's hand lightly, his thumb absently brushing across his ring.
"I've freed my schedule for the next month....I'd like to stay close to home till Akki's wedding."

Suru smiled brightly, shaking his head.
"Nothing special, no. As much as I procrastinate with my work, I thought while I have a break, I'd actually do something. With the house, or going out, something."
He turned his hand over, running his fingertips across Jak's palm.
"Any more news from littlegirl, by the way? About a date?"

Twining their fingers together, Jak sipped his coffee, squeezing Suru's hand gently. "Nothing so far. I half expect her to show up saying they're getting married tomorrow."
Putting his mug down, his free hand lay over his leg. "Any chance of a longer break? We could take a little trip if you like."
