Mari put the lid on the kettle to let it cook for a bit longer and sat down at the table. "Did you want to talk about it?"

She grabbed a deck of cards that she kept on the kitchen table and started to shuffle them for something to do as she listened. "Alright. Whenever you're ready."

"Really? Well, I can see how. He's deffinately not like most guys around your age. He's polite, intelligent, and he seems pretty mature for his age. Does the fact that other girls like him make you jealous?" She continued to shuffle the cards and then started to play solitare.

"Well, jealousy is silly, but in a sense it shows that you care for someone. As long as it doesn't become harmful." Mari looked towards the table at the cards she laid out and was placing cards ontop of each other and moving them about.

"Well, it sounds like you like him. Since anytime you're getting upset is when a girl is flirting with him. Does he seem to like it when they're flirting?" She looked back down at the cards and was glad that she wouldn't have to go into the school and deal with a parent-teacher conference. She was the one who normally had to go because Smash usually couldn't deal with sitting in a room with teachers looking at you judgementally.
