Scorpian was only two inches long. I've been stung about 18 times before and I am still fine
blaugh It's the big half foot monsters in my shed that you worry about! THOSE were extremly venomous. They were killed by Mr. Exterminator not to long ago. So now we get the annoying ones that sting your foot when you put your shoes on and scuttle off. Mr. Exterminator's comming for them next week.
mrgreen So, just to clarify, I'm fine, and only a few scorpians are deadly poisonous (which obviously wasn't the kind who stung me. I'll get a picture of one next time!)
EDIT: Pictured!

And I got info about it!
Pest Status: Most common and widespread scorpion in Texas; stings are painful and produce local swelling and itching that may persist for several days. Reaction to the bite may vary based on sensitivity of the individual. Non-lethal stings may be mild to strong and produce edema (swelling), discoloration, numbness, and pain which may last for several minutes to several days. Deaths attributed to this species are not well substantiated. There are no scorpions in Texas that are considered lethal to man.
