Hitomi rolled her eyes at Enkidu seeinf his strutting "You'll not get yourself many lady fiends if you do that. But seriously mountainmfiend or not that was very much a vertical jump he just did. Would have been less surprising with a proper run in or something" she mumbled sitting down on the end next to Ranmaru.

Satoshi laughed choosing her spot on the roof with careful consideration "I'm sure you might have contributed somewhat to his inflated ego. Probably because he is associated with your fame. But look, over there... you can actually see them loading up the fireworks ready for us. and we're not the only people to consider this" she added indicating to a small group of three girls sitting at the opposite corner.

Seph grinned wondering to herself what Chobi and Irelia were discussing "I only offered to buy you dinner if you lost. And was thinking you were either nuts or seriously underestimated me to even consider throwing a gold chocobo into it. Not that I was gonna complain" she explained to him swinging her legs. "That was a pretty good day until Alex showed up. And come to think of it... it was the first time you and me ever spent any alone time together and I was a little unsure as to how it would work out" she recalled.

Amane nodded her head slowly "Yess.... um no I dunno, its loud noises I don't like. But, I want to get better and don't wanna be afraid of stuff or I won't be all that good when it comes to my summoning journey" she insisted taking a deep breath.

Hebal frowned and tutted at Amane "Well everyones allowed to be afraid of stuff. Some argue that fear of loud noises is something in everyones nature to be afraid of. And I still don't like loud noises and so I use these to make it not as bad" she assured her handing Amane her pair of ear plugs.

Alpha raised his eyebrow curious as to how the nulfire spell worked "Well I could teach you how to make a firework one day if it ever interested you. I used to make them at one point for a job when first trying to settle down in this world. Seemed an easy job for me. Just don't do what Psy did and accidentally blew up his classroom at school"

Mu snickered "Oh yeah I remember that though knowing Psy he was experimenting with gun powder and something completely random in that chemistry classroom. Not that I complained, he may have been grounded for a month but I got 2 days off school for it"

Gil nodded lifting Satoshi up and onto his lap "Well it's not much but sit here if it helps" he said rubbing Satoshi's arms to keep her warm "Still have heart Hitomi you may have someone next year" he said

Itaka shrugged "Guess so outside of battles but sure guess I didn't expect to lose but I'm a bigger target for branches to hit in the face" he chuckled getting up and stretching "Lets get the chocobos some water and get back to the house it's a bit chilly out here without feathers" he said.

Zadina smiled petting Amane's shoulder "Relax Amane I can always cast a sound dampening spell on you if you like perhaps it would help a little?" he said happily hoping to cheer her up.

Satoshi gasped not having expected to have been picked up "Well, I'm not entirel sure that this will help bit I like the position better" she smiled leaning back slightly "And maybe you will Hitomi, theres no rish to find anyone so may as well make sure you pick a good ninja for moments like this"

"Relationships can be overrated anyway. No offence guys, I'm just really not good at them since I lack any sense of romance" Takeo shrugged pretending not to notice the small nod in agreement made by Hitomi at the second part of his statement.

Ranmaru snickered "well hopefully next year we'll be able to get away or plan a bigger form of celebration at least even if we dont all end up finding people. Still got eachother though and we make a good team" he optimistically pointed out.

Seph snickered shaking her head "Maybe he doesn't but he rides horses through his forest which are talled so there" she responded sticking her tongue out at him "Now theres nothing wrong with you being a little clumsy occasionally, everyone has their moments and it hasn't put me off warming you up. But maybe we should bring some of that wine up, we're very close to midnight as it wouldn't hurt to celebrate the start of the festival in some small manner"

Hebal smiled but put her arm in the way, stopping Mu from following after Zadina and Amane "Psst let them have their fun and we'll just join up with the one next to them. I'm guessing if Runide is anything like Zadina, all the travelling around doesn't give her much opportunity to play with kids her own age" she whispered indicating to a bat like demon similar looking to Seph setting up his own fireworks not far from the mime.

Amane grinned her ears twitching happily in response to Zadina's hands "I like my ears, though I think mums are better like that little floppy one I think is cute though I didn't get it from her. So which one are we going to" she whispered.

Runide raised her eyebrow having worked out where Zadina was moving to "Interesting choice, I bet you picked him because he's the only one thats always floating" she quietly guessed quietly before approaching the mime "Haii Awessi I got you some firework biddies" she mewed pouncing on the mimes back.

The mime jumped instantly reacting by picking Runide up off his back with his large hands "Don't do that... its not wise to jump on any random persons back around here. Could turn nasty" he warned placing her down on the floor.

Gil frowned but maintained a slight smile "Come now that's hardly fair on Ranmaru if you ask him to do that, surely we could all chip in if you wanted to throw a nice party" he said as Enkidu walked over to rest his head in Satoshi's lap.

Itaka nodded in agreement "Sure and I doubt he does much horseriding in his forest, but lets get back and I'll go get a bottle of wine for us to enjoy" he said offering Seph his hand as he stood by the door having finished feeding the chocobos.

Zadina paused "Actually I just think mimes' are fascinating given their innate talents I'd really like to learn more about them sometime" he explained to Runide as they approached the mime. Zadina giggled at Runide's antics before patting her on the back "I'm sure she didn't mean any harm Mr Awessi my name is Zadina and this is Amane, we're here to see the fireworks show" he said maintaining some slight distance seeking the numerous spiky protrusions from Awessi's form.

Hitomi laughed shaking his head "No no it's his fault for this one hehe. He already promised us a nice holiday or something when he got his promotion. Granted he was a bit drunk at the time but he's determined to stick with it right.?" she giggled.

Ranmaru shrugged "Yeah yeah you'll get eventually but if Gil is coming your going to be chipping into expenses as it was only for the three of you" he told Hitomi with a small laugh "your lucky I actually remember saying that" the day after.

Satoshi looked down surprised to see Enkidu getting comfortable by her "I guess that means that Enkidu has definitely accepted me if he's willing to do that" she smiled petting the fiend's head. "You would be amazed how high the jump in pay is between ninja ranks"
