Shadow nodded slightly, "You can drink anything you would have normaly done as a human. I am quite partial to a wiskey myself on ocasion. Shall we?" Shadow said as he gestured to the back door.

"It is good that you can tell the differance. It takes most atleast a few months before they can." Shadow said as he lead Maxine to the kitchen. Once there he took out a bottle of blood from the fridge and cracked it open.

Maxine smiled and grabbed a large glass filled it half way with ice and then added water to it. She sipped and and sighed happily liking the taste.

Shadow drank straight from the bottle as he was know to do. He kept stashes all over the mansion so that he wouldn't have to travle far when ever he needed to drink something. "So, how are you getting used to your new form?"

Nadea climbed out of her tower room window and scaled the side of the mansion to the roof, it was particularly chilly outside and she wanted to relish in the cold breeze the mountains provided. She spread a large wool blanket out on the roof and propped a fluffy pillow up behind her head as she lie down. "Ahh....sweet winter...how i missed your beautiful cold embrace." she sighed contentedly as a moderately cold breeze rushed over her tempting form and caused a few strands of her raven hair to sweep across her arched brows.

Maxine smiles and scoots a tiny bit closer to him and asks, not meaning to ruin the mood, "Are you still mourning over your mates?"
She regretted it the moment she asked and sighed.

Shadows eyes dropped to the ground for a moment. The emptiness was still there and would never truely leave. That was the problem with being bound. "Im a maner yes and also no. The problem with being bound to someone is that they never truely leave you, not even in death. You will always have that constant reminder of them, like I do. I have learned to ignore it though."

Maxine stood looking away from him, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked. I regretted it the moment I asked."
She tossed the bud of her cig down and stepped on it.

Shadow took the final draw from his cig before snubbing it out. "Don't be. Sometimes we all need to confront things and this is one of those things for me. The blood bond is not something to be taken lightly and recently I have been taking it lightly. I have been to quick in using it. I brought the pain upon myself." Shadow let out a slow and steady sigh as he pushed the memories of his mates from his mind once more.

Nadea rolled over to the ledge of the roof and looked down at Shadow and yet another, new girl. She sighed softly and cursed herself for not being around more, she was missing out on all the fresh blood. Her bright green eyes scanned the two of them and unknowingly eavesdropping on their conversation. Nadea wasn't normally the snoopy type, she preferred to keep to herself, mostly. Rolling back over onto her stomach she let out another heavy sigh and drifted through roof and into the dinning room, landing lightly in front of the two with a soft whoosh of air. "Ello lovely..." she smiled at Shadow and winked before setting her green gaze on the new blood. "I'm Nadea..." she smiled warmly at the girl and extended a long pale arm towards her.

"Imagine being able to feel their emotions, thier presance, their thought. The feeling of all of that is indescribable. That is a blood bond, that is what it is like to have a mate."
