Mmm. My grandma makes her own kamaboko.
Not naruto, that's pretty impossible for her. But her kamaboko is totally the BEST.
And it's not quite like the kind in the picture on wiki. D: It's just uhh. Super duper ground up salmon or whatever. And a bunch of other crap in it.

anyone I have never tried that kind of...soup...
I usually just throw in udon rice noodles into miso soup mixed with chopped green onions and salmon. Yum yum yum~

You never had shoyu ramen? They always put kamaboko in any variation of shoyu ramen.
And ehhh, I dunno. Salmon in miso udon? Personally I think it's a little weird because the taste and texture of the salmon don't go along with the subtle flavor of miso udon. Fish in general I think. Makes the soup too fishy.
ON THE OTHER HAND, if I wanted some meat in my miso soup I'd prefer mussels. That s**t is so good. And no one can go wrong with shrimp tempura with udon.
Damn, I've been living in Southern California far too long. Too much Asian food for me.
Get me a ******** Philly cheese steak.

Hmm. Well, DS, sometimes my gramma makes, like, miso salmon.
I haven't had it in a while. Something about slapping miso paste on it. I assume she'd put tons on to counter the fishy taste though, so... errr. Yeah.
What's a philly cheese steak.
