In MY time, most simulations are buffered to protect against the brain engrams of the participants from being overwritten by hardline data that streams from the holographic simulation.
The current Cyberdome games lack this buffer.

Once the simulation ends, you SHOULD revert. However, those of you whom advance may be in danger due to repeated exposure...
