Seph shook her head with a playful glare "No way, I was the master and you just did a little bit of the labour. You have a solid hand in other things than soup making" she answered back sitting down opposite him. "Now eat up and enjoy and..." she got up removing the bread from the fridge before sitting back down again "Its nice to have a more... homely meal than usual"
Amane cheered reaching up and pulling herself onto the trampoline "I'm sure its safe enough I mean if it wasn't we would have been told already like with those really tall swingy things before. And look isn't this an awesome thing to do already. Lets see who can bounce highest" she answered back starting with a few small bounces.
Mu snickered at Amane's enthusiasm but stood watching by the side of the trampoline "You guys should gather around the trampoline. It's for safety reasons that there should be at least two people around the trampoline with the untrained to catch them should they fall off or even just to give them a nudge back in the right direction" she instructed.
Hebal blinked a little confused "Ok then but if that were to happen I would have just jumped up and caught them no problem though you two better bounce real high and maybe you'll even be able to do a nice flip and impress all the circus people" she encouraged noticing and old male cat demon sitting watching from the back of the seats.

Felina smiled and nodded standing up out of her seat spotting out the corner of her eye an excited servant watching the leftovers from afar "Yes we're going to head off for now. This day has been long and tiring for the airship wasn't the most comfortable of rides back home" she told them giving her dad a small bow as she excused them both away from the table and towards the exit.
"Sorry to hear that second class airship travel is as uncomfortable as expected. But yes you can go and here, Nares gave me this for you to read before tomorrow morning. It's basically just a list of dos and don'ts when being in the forest tomorrow. Most of it is just common sense anyway. Apart from that have a good night you two" Elorin replied managing to slip the paper in Felina's hand as she got up.
Corella giggled quietly her mind already jumping to conclusions as to what kind of relaxation Oassu was thinking of "Hehe well then I'll see you guys tomorrow and I hope you have a very relaxing evening together" she winked at them when she was confident her dad wasn't looking at them.
Hitomi nodded her head "Uhuh its all very well beingf able to fight in front of a crowd but survival skills and practical combat is whats really needed to get by right? Plus if the ones in Kunec were anything like the arena fighters in Tricasia then they are all really rude and arrogant too"
Satoshi paused downing the rest of her drink thinking it were better than Gil's description "I'm sure the crowds are what make their egos so big. But not everyone can go into big money earning mercenary jobs like you. Most of the ones who try those just wind up dead I'll bet and so other mercenaries probably dont get to know eachother because of that?"

Oassu raised an eyebrow somewhat surprised by Corella's implications "Have a pleasant evening you two" he said following Felina out "We'll need to get Corella for the trip out tomorrow, good thing we could convince your father to let her go" he said.
Gil shrugged "Well once upon a time the Arena's in Tricasia were like that, used to be to-the-death fights though laws have banned that now I think" he said "And no most mercs aren't as distinguished as myself, the majority of them just fight in rank an file regiments like any other army" he said shrugging "I know a couple of other mercenaries, who knows if they are still alive now" he said
Itaka rolled his eyes "If you say so but yeah though I'm not sure this counts as homely, we've had soup before on the road just not normally like this" he said sipping the soup slightly before having a drink of his beer
Zadina gasped struggling to get up as Amane bounced close before eventually struggling to his feet "I've never been on one of these before" he said nervously trying a few small hops on the trampoline "It's a little scary but we're so high up!" he gasped mid jump.

Seph nodded dipping her bread "Well yeah we've had soup on the road before. But right now we aren't on the road. It's just me and you sitting quietly in a house with a good fire at a table. If thats not what you call homely then I don't know what is. And you know I move around so much that its very rare to get moments like this" she explained
Amane laughed bouncing along for a while in synch with Zadina "I haven't been on one of these things either but you must admit that its kinda fun. Thanks for allowing this Miss Mu" she called down from the middle of a jump. "I dunno what the rest of you think but I think this shows why mum likes to jump so much"
Hebal snickered saulting Amane on her way back down "Sure it feels good but its better outside with a nice windy breeze rushing past youand then when your able to do it all by yourself too you can go up a lot faster than any bounce" she shrugged.
Alpha grunted not too bothered by the trampoline "Well I can fly myself if I really wanted to so its not much of a big thing for myself plus I'm too heavy for trampolines" he mumbled

Felina laughed spotting Oassu's expression "Well Corella is certainly growing up faster than I ever did around her age but it's not like she'll be difficult to find. She always stays in the same bedroom of the palace and she's not very good at getting out of bed on time for things meaning we can meet her there easily" she predicted hugging Oassu "See my dad and younger sister at least aren't so bad just lets not mention it was my fault about the cakes" she quietly added.
Satoshi nodded "Yeah the fights to the death have been banned ever since the nu mou captured the island from the bangaa a good few decades ago now. Though they dont use judges in that arena so there is still the odd arena death there" she recalled reading somewhere in a geography book.
"Uhuh none of that in Tricasia when I went gathering intelligence. The atmosphere in the arena area was way to relaxed for fights to be that serious but the one fighting was so thuggish" Hitomi remembered shaking her head slightly in disapproval at the person she was thinking of. "Though I bet your mercenary friends will be fine. If you think they are good... well mercenaries are good at not dying"

Oassu nodded "Yeah though unless you asked for it to be secret you'll be found out in a second when your Dad asks the staff what was up with tonight's menu" he said returning the hug "Though you think Corella will be ok with rising early?" he asked.
Gil raised an eyebrow "Is that so? I forgot the Nu Mou and Bangaa were skirmishing not too long ago" he said sipping his drink "Surprised the Nu Mou won there, Bangaa have naval superiority over them with their pirate fleet" he smirked seeing Hitomi's disapproving shake "Well sure it may be thuggish but it's probably more realistic combat than in the Kunec arenas and not all mercenaries are good at not dying, remember they can operate in rank and file units like anyone else, just the only ones you hear about are the good or notorious ones and often that coincides" he said.
Itaka sighed "Sure seems to keep you happy, certainly wouldn't mind you curling up on my lap to purr in front of the fire" he said getting up to get himself some bread "Still not felt this relaxed in this house in a while" he said as he returned "Really it's just been a chocobo stable for my potentially most valuable chocobos" he said
Zadina gasped trying to stabilise himself in the air for a moment after an unexpectedly higher bounce "I'm not sure I'd like to learn to jump like you after this, it doesn't feel safe at all" he said once he'd stabilised himself "Though I'm sure we could find a trampoline big enough for you if we really tried Cap'n Alpha" he said

Seph raised her eyebrow a little surprised by Itaka's description "You almost make me sound like I'm more of a pet than a girlfriend there but I guess its a nice image all the same" she laughed passing the bread across the table. "Shame you haven't relaxed a little, its a nice house you have here an with this many chocobos it would rarely get done. My guess is you spent all your time in some grubby place down the backstreets of Agralia with your thieves?
Alpha shook his head "Its not just about the size of the trampoline, its the springs and the net too. Plus would have to be a pretty big trampoline to support my weight."
Hebal giggled bracing herself for a moment worrying Zadina might lose his balence "Well my jumps are more controlled so when you land you stay put rather than bounce again so you wouldn't have to worry about stopping"
Mu smiled sliding up onto the trampoline next to Zadina and Amane on the trampoline "Well you seem to be able to maintail a decent bounch, so why not see if you can do more like the odd trick or two" she suggested performing a starjump in her own bounce and landed sitting down on the trampline.
Amane looked at Mu hesantly while she kept bouncing "Um ok I guess but I'm not sure about landing like that, looks like your butt might get sore. I'll see what I can do then" she mumbled taking a few bounced before bringing up the courage to try a twirl mid bounce.

Felina paused swallowing hard "well fingers crossed some of the servants dont say anything because I asked them not to. Though might end up getting a lecture from my dad when your not around about that since I don't think he would like the idea of me dieting to fit into a wedding dress so much" she predicted with a sigh. "And Corella should be able to get up in the morning or she won't be very good at doing her royal duties. But you know what teenagers are like when it comes to their sleep"
Satoshi scratched her head not too knowledgable about history "Well I guess you could say the Agralians should have won at Yithra too but the elves pushed through. Guess it was magic vs technology and the nu mou are good at magic so could have manipulated the water or summoned leviathan maybe?"
"Not neccessarily, some of the greater mercenaries you never know exist. Depends on the job but that definately the case for us ninja and we are basically a bunch of mercenaries living in the same village if we look at it as a big picture. Plus a lot of people would rather mercenary involvement was kept secret but with you. Well thats not so easy" Hitomi disagreed with Gil.

Oassu smiled "I'm sure it won't be a big deal, they'll be happy to receive the leftovers anyway though so long as he doesn't get too mad at me then I'm fine with it" he said watching a number of servants move past them presumably to clean the kitchen "And Corella can hardly have that many royal duties at her age can she?"
Gil chuckled "I wouldn't go saying that was the case, you'd upset many moogles and dwarves saying that magic outpaces technology besides Bangaa have their own magic, think it's more religious in nature but I know they have some command over water magic but nevermind doesn't matter now" he said nodding in agreement with Hitomi "Sure if you want to lump Ninja in with the mercenary subgroup that's true I'd say the difference in Ninja all have a clear defined purpose" he said.
Itaka chuckled "Well you're far more than a pet, dunno how it came across that way" he said finishing his beer "And I'll have you know I had a rather swanky apartment in the capital city, the grimy den is where the main thieves operated but Barbaros dealt with most of that work for me, best to not be seen much especially when you are as old as me" he said.
Zadina nodded nervously attempting to copy Mu's trick before falling on his front mid-bounce and bouncing back up "Oww...." he frowned rubbing his nose "That trick is difficult" he said maintaining his balance as he righted himself.

Seph shook her head pretending to be in disbelief "Im guessing you owned this swanky apartment? Otherwise your landlord might start asking questions. Though what makes this apartment so swanky? Bid bed and working toilet. I'll believe it when I see it since I cant see you in such a posh place" she teased and stuck her tongue out.
Mu laughed but quickly checked to see Zadina was ok "You just need too kick your legs out in front of you although when you bounced on your front you actually did a completely different but know trick so congrats. Just be a little careful if you do that one again" she encouraged bouncing off her front.
Amane giggled clapping at Zadina "Well done you Zadina, you performed a more advanced trick than what was being shown to you" she cheered copying Mu's moves perfectly "That wasn't so bad maybe I'm a natural of take after my mother" she grinned seeing Hebal giving her a round of applause.

Felina nodded "Oh you would be surprised. Its times like the dragon festival when it is most expected for the royals to make public appearences outside the palace and people make a massive deal out of that. But Corella when shes a little older can choose how much she wishes to get involved with the politics and other jobs around the palace when shes a little older. Doubt she's going to go down the same route as Elithana though"
"Do we really? We dont really have a purpose most ninja places will take on any assignment if the pay is high enough so its still pretty much the same as any other mercenaries, just more working in groups then as individuals" Satoshi pondered not on the same wave length.
"Well similar or nor in nature I'm sure both ninjas and mercenaries like to kick back at times like this and have a good drink. Working too hard makes life pretty dull and lonely" Ranmaru added in more optmistically.

Oassu nodded "Well I guess though she just has to stand and wave for some of that I'm sure, least if it's anything like Mineerin's royal family" he said remembering how their announcements went around the world. "I imagine she'll follow in your footsteps and want a bit of freedom to see the world" he said.
Gil chuckled "Sure you do, everything you do is for the village, got a good sense of home and even your holidays require you to send money back to the village" he said nudging Felina "Mercenaries are essentially just weapons to some" he said "Though most mercenaries will still be involved in conflicts at this time of year, war doesn't wait for the Dragon Festival" he said
Zadina scratched his head uncertain how he'd managed a fancier trick "Well if you say so Miss Mu," he said maintaining his balance while the others bounced "Though yeah it probably really runs in your family Amane" he said applauding too.
Itaka smirked "Well probably not think Barbaros mentioned it was reclaimed along with the rest of the guild property" he said shrugging "Nothing important there so sorry you can't see it" he said dipping his bread into the soup before taking a bite.

Seph paused slurping up the last of the soup on her bowl before going after seconds "Well we can always break in and get revenge or maybe one day we'll take everything back when Agralia becomes a safer place to visit.. Or we can just but a better place in a better city" she shrugged not wanting to get into too negative a conversation. "So what do you say to a nice beach villa holiday home in Tricasia for example? You, me, sun and sand and Chobi chasing waves?"
Hebal smiled watching Amane performing the trick a second time, taking it as an encore "Yep thats my girl all flexible and good at jumping. Will be a natural with dragoon potential one day if you keep that up" she giggled bouncing on the spot next to the trampoline, stopping only to see a demon unicycle past the trampoline.
Amane gasped but shook her head "Oh no no no I couldn't be a dragoon, I'm a summoner silly" she disagreed but gave Zadina a high five mid bounce all the same "Though that is a rather strange contraption, and doesn't look like an effective method of transport" she remarked having no idea what a bicycle was let alone a unicycle.
"Hey Mu. do you mind if I play around with the lights for a little while. I won't be turning them off completly but some of the bulbs are in need of changing" Came the voice of the older cat demon who had been sitting at the back for a while now watching them.
Mu hesitated looking around towards the lights the demon pointed out to them "Umm sure I don't see why not so long as you don't make it too hard for people to bounce. Go right ahead" she answered back with a small snicker "Your probably about to be under all the fancy rainbow lights in a moment"

Felina hesitated uncertain "I think it could go either way with Corella based on the way she is at right now in terms of views. But theres more to it then standing, waving and looking pretty. You have to sometimes talk to the people too and put on a good show for the media to make a nice relationshp with the public. Will have to teach you to wave properly for the post honeymoon tour" she snickered.
Satoshi nodded "Oh we know all about that, we've once spent our dragon festival evening camping in a forest in the middle of nowhere on a long journey home from a mission and another festival we celebrated by stalking people as part of a spying mission. Not always a fun festival but the camping was nice in its own way"
Hitomi smiled "Oh yeah that was a nice little camping festival. We toasted marshmallows and sang songs and ended up alerting another group of ninja who would usually end up fighting us but we all decided that neither one of us could be bothered to fight on the festival day so everything was fine and happy" she recalled happily.

Oassu shrugged "How difficult can it be to wave?" he said demonstrating a wave quickly "No big deal, but don't matter I'm sure you're right and there's more to Royal life that I just don't get yet" he sighed as they arrived back at the room.
Gil smiled "I was thinking it doesn't sound like singing would be a smart thing to do on a spying mission, though wouldn't you have trouble with the same ninja the very next day when the ceasefire expired?" he asked finishing his drink.
Itaka chuckled "Sounds pretty fun though a bit warm for my liking," he said "Tricasia seemed like an alright place, Barbaros was born there so it can't be that bad a place" he said watching Seph go for seconds "Can you get me another beer while you're there please?" he asked.
Zadina gasped "Ooh really? They were really pretty during the show!" he said between bounces "I'm not sure why people don't use these trampolines as a form of transport though, they seem really fun!" he said
