Seph smirked giving the pott a good vigorous stir "Well there are no cities to your knowledge. But there used to be all kinds of legends circulating that the gria had treasure cities hidden away amongst the mountains. Thats where most of the gria live when in populations, they were seen as a pretty attractive race to many demons before the war and everything. Particularly to bird demons but to many others as well"
Hebal giggled and added in a whisper "Demon culture really is a funny one that you have to learn through seeing it yourself since its so weird and varied and unpredictable" she warned before spinning round and shaking Mu's hand "Nice to meet you then and thanks for the tickets and our little pet there is Merric who you won't have yet heard of as he's Zadina's new little pet"
Mu smiled holding back a small snicker and making a note to ask her dad later about the captain title "Well its nice to meet you finally since dad has mentioned quite a bit about you. Sephy too. But guys did you like the show? I hope so because that would mean my inexperienced partner digging her claws into my hands out of nerves was worth it" she added looking down at the cuts on her hands now more apparent in her human form.
Amane smiled back shyling copying Zadina by also bowing "Umm nice to meet you too but sorry to hear about your hands. you should maybe talk to her about being more careful but yes, I really enjoyed the show thank you very much. Not seen anything like that before."
Alpha frowned looking at the injury "Cat demons have sharper claws then I would have thought then, get yourself bandaged up if they startbleeding" he instructed running his finger down one of the scratches "Thanks for the tickets

Hitomi nodded rolling her eyes slightly as the snake glanced over at them, let out a yawn then went back to sleep "Oh I did look, they had snakes and frogs though and spiders. Though none of them are really me and I would rather a pet that was a little more active no offence to Terrato"
Satoshi snickered "Oh no its no bother I know he's lazy but he's a real sweet and affectionate little thing and steps up when its important so I don't mind" she shrugged petting Terrato.
"Good luck getting the sword off the great dragon but if he could do that I think you wouldn't have been the first person to request the sword. Probably has just as much of an idea as to where it is as yourself though. And over here, theres been no additional records of excalibur being in this country for over 500 years" Ranmaru shrugged.
Felina smiled easily able to guess what Oassu has been up to as a kid "Well I bet you had the odd moment to shine in your childhood" she whispered back sighing surprised to see the giant cakes placed down in front of them. "Well this is going to keep us fed for a few days. But I wasn't all about running wild and riding Malboros as a kid. For a long time the most rebellious thing I ever did was refusing weapons training"
Elorin raised his eyebrow surprised at the number of desserts being thrown down on the table making a mental note to question Alusaadi about it later "Nope but that phase of running wild lasted a decade too long. The you refusing weapons training wasn't so bad once you stated stalking Hayate"

Gil nodded impressed Ranmaru knew so much "Well yes probably so, other collectors out there still thanks for the news I'm always on the lookout for some" he said ordering himself another drink as a waitress passed by "Still I'm sure you could find a nice ninja owl in one of the hidden markets somewhere Hitomi, perhaps the Dragon will be kind to you" he said.
Oassu nodded "sure I wasn't always a thi-" he paused baffled by the size and scale of the food placed in front of him "I...uh....I....what...." he stammered trying to find the right question "Er...what kind of cakes are these?" he asked frowning at one that was as tall as his head.
Itaka raised an eyebrow "Really? Them short little people? Must be because they share some traits with demons like the tails horns and wings" he said smirking "Hell if one of them got some purple body dye they could pass as you to a stranger" he said.
Zadina frowned examining the cuts before reaching out and running his hand over them healing them as he did so "There you go Miss Mu though it certainly was a good show both you and your little Kitten friend did really well out there it was actually rather scary in case you fell" he said uncertainly

Seph nodded reaching out and grabbing Itaka by the tail so to pull him closer to her "Nah I'm a little less... normal human looking than the gria but dragons in general were seen as attractive to the less humanoid demons and so the more humanoid dragons appealed to the humanoid demons if you follow. But not just physically, their ferocity in battle and their strong natures was also appealing" she explained pulling Itaka in for a kiss. "I've actually had a relationship with a gria before and they got nothing on you so don't worry" she winked at him.
Mu smiled looking down at her hands surprised to see them healed "Oh I'm not worried about falling, the routines up there have been done for hours on end in training before they ever go on show to the public. Any falls or injuries usually happen backstage when trying out new moves but theres pleanty white mages about" she assured Zadina. "Runide just digs her claws in when nervous and because her sister usually does the act, well she's still not used to performing as she's so young right now she's just a stand in" she explained.
"Well if your cat demon friend doesn't fancy it, I would gladly have a go at that act, I love heights and I jump around a lot anyway so I wouldn't be that nervous about flying through the air at high speed. Plus it looks incredibly fun and my arms are stronger than they look" Hebal suggested enthusiastically giggling a little at Amane's oohs in response to the healing spell.

Elorin chuckled seeing Oassu's reaction "Your not the only one whos wondering that. I know I certainly didn't ask for such a high number of desserts and the kitchen staff don't usually make such high volumes of cakes. I suppose I can have words with them later and give the left overs to the guards" he sighed chipping out a portion of the giant chocolate cake.
Felina hesitated the realisation kicking in that she might have influenced the outcome of the dessert when she was distracting the staff earlier "Wow I don't know... where to start on these. Theres like chocolate cake, cream cake, carrot cake, cheese cake, that ones a giant apple pie and thats a fruit cake" she informed Oassu unsure of which to attempt to cut unlike Corella who went straight for the cream cake.
Hitomi paused also taking the opportunity to order another drink "Well thats true but its also a case of timing as owls are a more exotic pet to this part of the world so they can be expensive. Plus they are one of the more naturally suited pets to our job"
Ranmaru smiled surprised to be of use "your welcome though I would have guessed you would have found more recent news or rumours as to where the sword was last seen than that. I doubt its still in this country as its hardly the kind of sword anyone would want round here. Different shapes and weight that doesnt match the common sword fighting style"

Oassu frowned "Musn't it cost a lot of money to have such lavish meals all the time?" he asked reaching out for a slice of cream cake as well "It baffles me how you can keep all this running really" he added taking a big bite
Gil nodded "Well yes I have my leads but all information is useful besides even if someone informs you of something you already know at least they are trying to help which is still admirable" he said "What kind of sword is it you use locally? Katana? Ninja blades? They are a bit small for my liking but I have some all the same" he shrugged.
Itaka smiles stroking Seph's wings as he was pulled closer "Well if you say so still think it's the similarity thing I said before" he said peeking over her shoulder at the soup "hows it coming along?" he asked.
Zadina smiled "Well she seemed real excited earlier and it went off well so she must be pleased I'll bet" he said "Yeah Miss Hebal would be amazing at that since she's so good in the air" he said.

Seph turned her head taking a small sip from the soup "Well its starting to bubble now but the flavours still need to blend in together" she concluded offering Itaka a small spoon full. "Well lucky for you that this demon can live without the similarities though relationships with gria are notorious for not being that fun due to the pressure on the males to have lots of children. Must be hard all that pressure to keep the species going and the female garif will have it worse still"
Hebal nodded jumping to the top of the caravab hoping tp prove her point "Yep, I can do this and other acrobatics see" she cheered jumping back down before Mu had the opportunity to tell her to get down "Plus my balence is good so I would like to try that rope walking thing and I always land on my feet" she boasted.
Amane cheered and clapped her hands watching her mother show off her skills "Ooh yay you would be a natural with the circus when you can do stuff like that. And your little demon friend should be really pleased with her performence and when she's bigger and more experienced she'll be able to do lots of other great stuff"
Mu frowned surprised by Hebal's own small performence "Well your definitely spirited though I could introduce you to the nice lady in charge of that act and maybe convince her to teach you a few things. Same with most other members of the crew if you guys just ask nicely.... best ask me about them first. One or two can be grumpy" she added quietly.

Ranmaru nodded taking out his own blade to show Gil "This is more the typical blade of the area, katanas, short swords known a wakizashi and long curved swords like this one are the thing to have. But I'm better with my hands so this one is used mainly for ceremonial purposes and dealing with spirits" he explained putting the blade away before it drew too much attention.
Takeo rolled his eyes looking at the blade "Those things arent even that great in a ninja battle so its kind of a waste to learn to use a sword nowerdays as a ninja" he quietly remarked playing with one of his own weapons in his pocket.
Elorin scratched his head in though "I don't know the exact costs, its not usually this grand as this is more of a festival thing and I'm not sure I want to know about the cake portions but its a mighty sum cheaper price wise than when Felina and Elithana were living in the palace. Elithana especially for her love of expensive meats"
"It's not like we had daily banquets but no matter how busy things got we always tried to sit down and eat together as a family and do normal ish family things" Felina cheerfullt told Oassu before whispering "I'll explain what just happened with the cakes later"

Gil nodded "Yes i've used several of them before many fine swords like this out there especially over here on the Eastern continent, the Hijonese believe a blade can contain a spirit and so they revere their swords almost as much as their own lives" he said "Mari's blade is one like that" he added to Satoshi before tutting at Takeo "Now now, I've killed plenty of Ninja in my time, many of which die easily in close combat as they have throwing weapons which don't have the range of a regular sword" he said
Oassu nodded understandingly to Felina thinking privately that she may end up sick if she ate all the truffles and cakes "Shame Elithana and Aluusaadi couldn't show up for the meal then, hope Elithana is having a good time wherever she is" he said
Itaka shrugged "Well sure they kinda owe it to their own species don't they, Can Gria even breed with outsiders considering how they reproduce?" he asked sipping the soup "Yeah needs to blend more" he concluded.
Zadina gasped "Oh no Miss Hebal remember to not jump on the caravans you may disturb people sleeping in there" he said neverously looking around to see if anyone had noticed "Still I'm sure a circus would be honoured to have you Miss Hebal but is this one for demons only?" he asked

Seph nodded slowly giving her horn a rub "Well yes gria can breed with some demons and bangaa and humans if done properly but apart from that gria are pretty incompatible with other races. It's weird because apparently they can breed with humans but not elves or dwarves. You would surprised or perhaps horrified at what species can breed" she added with a snicker.
Mu paused looking around seeing if any of the people who had noticed Hebal's actions were the caravans resident "Oh well the owned of that one didn't see. Thats Skeltin's caravan, thats the mime act. He's probably off somewhere stalking someone for something new to try not that he would be too mad if he saw" she guessed in an attempt to calm Zadina down a little.
Hebal sighed noticing one or two glares "Aww im sorry, I was just having a little fun... but at least Amane liked it" she giggled giving her daughter a high five
Alpha scratched his chin looking around "Hmm though speaking of other demons wheres your fiance gone. He was over there a while ago and I sort of wanted to get you both together before showing you your engagement present" he asked looking around.
"Probably just changing out of costume or putting his equipment away. It's too hot to be wearing cloaks and capes today but its all part of the costume. So... do I at least get some clue as to what it is?" Mu quickly asked soon examining her dad hoping to catch an early glimps once ansered with a head shake.

Elorin snickered his thoughts moving onto Elithana "Oh I bet she's not enjoying her time away from Yithra at the moment as I can't imagine her being a fan of the countryside. Thats what happens when you fall for someone from the middle of nowhere though. Plus she has that awkward moment of meeting the parents which I'm sure we can all relate to. Even a prince gets those problems"
Corerlla nodded "Yeah I mean could you imagine Elithana doing farm things like milking cows and putting seeds in the ground. I would probably pay to see that one. Mother will be ok though and you have pleanty time to see her while here" she added to Oassu.
Felina on the other hand whispered "Your not going to have me doing what Elithana is doing except with your thieves guild" before putting her fork down having already been filled up by the cake. "Worst case scenario if mum doesn't feel better tomorrow we can just visit her"
Satoshi laughed knowing if Gil had not said something to Takeo, someone else around the table would have in his place "Theres a lot of superstition and stories of spirits in these parts. Many about possessed and cursed swords "Can't say I believe in it much but stories of demonic blades and crying swords make a good read"
Hitomi shook her head taking a small sip "I don't really like those stories. They creep me out along with all those special shrines and stones all over the country. Though Takeo isn't really an offensive ninja, his priority is to avoid the fighting or else nobody will be around to treat our injuries" she pointed out.

Oassu shrugged "It's not that bad out there, farming is an honourable profession, I bet the farmers don't really feel that they've got a hard deal or at least not all of them do" he said wiping his face with his napkin before moving onto another slice of cream cake.
Gil chuckled "I have a few I suppose, makes me wonder if the sword Excalibur has the soul of the ancient king inside it but will need to see but what special shrines and stones are you talking about?" he asked "I don't exactly do much culture or take in sights on my travels" he shrugged as their new drinks arrived.
Itaka frowned "Probably" he agreed dismissing the thought "More differences between humans and elves than we know probably, but lets change the subject, what did you get me for the dragon festival eh?" he said cuddling Seph from behind and taking over responsibility for rubbing her horns.
Zadina emitted a small "ooh" at hearing the mime lived there "Well he's certainly blessed with a nice power would be fascinating to talk to him about it but what was it your fiance did in the show?" he said a little embarrassed to have forgotten "I thought he was just working on the sideshows" he asked.

Mu hesitated still trying to search Alpha for a peek at her present "Aww you could at least give me a clue as to what it is... fine" she sighed giving up and turning her attention fully to Zadina "Oh he's the illusionist, decided to do a joke this time and pulled a person out of a hat. Can't miss him performing since he's the only one that has any resemblence to a viera. Probably the only cuter looking demon to is the cat family" she snickered.
Amane nodded waving her carbuncle doll in front of Mu "Oooh yeah we know the guy, he is a bit like a viera with funny ears and horns I guess" she giggled knowing not to mention the odd couple she thought they made physically. "Oh he helped us win one of these as well but Zadina won his proze all by himself isn't that right"
Hebal meanwhile cheered and pulled Mu into a cautious hug, not having been listening the last few seconds "Oh so you just got engaged. Congrats and hope you get a really nice wedding with confetti and good cake and he better have got you a shiny ring. That is if demons do weddings that way"
Seph raised her eyebrow resisting the urge to make Itaka feel uncomfortable by continuing the previous conversation. Well I'm making you a soup aren't I? Thats a nice present isnt it" she joked idly rubbing her tail against his leg. "No I have you something else thats nice but wouldn't you rather wait and see tomorrow so we can celebrate the festival properly?"

"Hey I have nothing against farmers. If it weren't for them, then I wouldn't be able to sit down and enjoy a good block of cheese or a drunk of milk or have much bread even, I'm just saying that Elithana hasn't exactly been brought up in a hands on and dirty environment. In a lifestyle like this nobody expects a royal to do any cleaning or manual labor" Elorin explained cheerfully,
Felina scratched her head not knowing much about farming "I guess your right, there will be a lot of farmers who love their job but I don't really know what they do beyond growing plants and raising animals. They would have to do something to pass the time for things to grow right?"
Hitomi gasped a little surprised "You really haven't heard about them. This country is probably most famous for its shrines and temples and sacred stones built for gods and spirits. Its a superstitious country with a lot of folklore and it was believed that the places could protect you from demons once upon a time when people had less knowledge about them" she explained.
"There is most likely some tale that would suggest the soul of the king is in the sword or that the sword became soul bound which would explain the immortality rumours. Those are both common ninja fairy stories. You should try stopping and seeing other cultures rather than just fighting all the time." Ranmaru recommended

Oassu smiled "I'm sure though a bunch will probably just spend all day doing that, I knew a couple of farmers who would have to work all day on their job, not much free time" he said pouring himself another drink.
Gil shrugged "Normally too focused but sure maybe I'll try in future, generally when hired by a company too busy marching or planning assaults to bother sightseeing the local colour, though it's been a while since my last big job, was unusual for me to go to that tournmanent in Kunec" he said stirring his drink slightly.
Zadina nodded meekly "Yeah he seemed rather nice and Viera-like but bet he's really special if you want to marry him" he said happily "So when are you due to be married?" he asked.
Itaka chuckled "Yeah yeah I guess that's fair, though could always give me a clue" he said stroking Seph's tail in return "Speaking of the soup, is it ready yet?" he said aware of his stomach grumbling slightly "I'm kinda eager to get back to our nice warm spot on the sofa" he said.
