Now what could I possibly possess that would be worthless to me? And if I have something that has no value, why would you and your corporation want it? And what honor is it that you are trying to bestow upon me, hmm? I am intrigued, at the very least.

With a gleam in his eye, he says wistfully, "If Erica can do it, so can I. Ahahaha... " Jaft quickly creates a ward with his free hand just in case, "And I think I will challenge you later, I need some more practice. And on a third note, you should really learn the names of your employees. THey should feel special being a part of your company."
Jaft realizes that Slim was beginning to sound like Cut-Me-Throat Dibbler and enjoys a little time to himself in quiet amusement.

"Oh, it has no value to you, but Master Undakai is a bit of a collector. Kind of like how some people collect bottle caps, ne? And the honor? The honor comes with working alongside one of the most powerful entities in the guild and carrying out his glorious will, growing in the ranks till you stand near the top! Learning arts and abilities long forgotten by mankind."
While she spoke, she made elaborate gestures, grinning peacefully and sighing happily between points.
"It's real bliss, my friend. I tell you..."

He shrugged Jafts criticism off "I'd have an easier time remembering such names if my database was adequately updated...and just so you know, Erica lost to me."

"Lost to you once, and beat you once."
She turned to Jaft, cocking an eyebrow. "And why would you say that? You haven't beaten me yet, buddy 'ol pal..."

"You know I was about to beat you anyway had the timer not run out and caused you to lose by default...but If you wish, I could make it official and we can have ourselves another little rematch." He said this last part with a confidently smug grin.

"You can try me again Erica, or we can play Go. Choose your demise." he laughs a little.
Thaliat will do just fine.
"Huh? Is Lin not maintaining the database?" he asks Undakai.

"The price, my friend?" Slim asked, blinking confusedly.
She extended the contracts to Thaliat, winking cheerily. "Why, only your loyalty, of course! Master Undakai only wishes to have the most keen of people work for him, and you seem an ideal candidate. Stick with us, chum. That's all we ask of you."

*Looks at the papers. Looks at Slim. Looks at Kai*
My loyalty is actually quite valuable. I'm gonna have to read these thoroughly. There's gotta be a catch.

"Read them all you wish, friend! Truly, all we want is your absolute loyalty and pleasant company."
Slim sat cross-legged atop her barstool, still beaming.

Actually, Slim's starting to creep me out a little. She's a bit too cheery.

It happens when you're in a major organization. Some get overhyped when they are being a recruiter. It can't be helped.

Yeah, but it can really scare off the new hires. I don't want to end up like that.
