Seph paused searching around through Itaka's cupboard searching for various extras "I guess even Agralia has problems getting doctors anymore though most of them are overshadowed by the increasing number of white mages anyway so it kind of makes sense not having as many hospitals, you know because white magic can cure almoat anything" she pondered finally finding the herbs and spices she was after to go in the pot. "Any objections to being slightly spicy? And if we go in one big visit instead of visiting Milly every time we get an elixir it will be less suspicious I'm sure"
Amane smiled unable to stop herself giggling as Merric burped mid hug "Well he doesn't seem too phased by it at least. Not that I can blame him for wanting to try some because it does smell really good that weird popcorn stuff that I had never even heard of until today."
Alpha smiled and politely nodded at a familiar demon from his last visit who stepped to one side allowing the group to pass through the small makeshift fence separating the back stage area from the rest of the place. "Well this is pretty much all the backstage area though no snooping in the caravans as people go to sleep there" he advised watching from afar some of the demons dressed as clowns throwing left over pies at eachother.

Satoshi laughed shaking her head "Oh I'm not that bad to manage really so he's not got that bad a job being the team leader" she snickered seeing Ranmaru for a second unsure as to which hand he was going to end up shaking. "Don't forget to say hi to Enkdu also and Terrato"
Ranmaru turned his head and reluctantly patted Satoshi's pet, not being fond of snakes "She's right, it's nothing that special being in charge of a team, someone has to do it after all so whatever she's told you is probably overexaggerated" he answered quickly taking the last seat once released from Gil's grip
Felina smiled patting Oassu's table under the table "Well I'm pretty sure that you can make a little room in that tummy of yours for some of the dessert. The best part of the meal is yet to come with all the ice cream and cakes and other puddings"
Elorin nodded "Yes those will no doubt be heading our way shortly. But theres no business selling chocobos here since they are common on this continent if you know where to look for them. Besides horses are the thing to have around here. Big strong pretty white horses especially. Looks fancier than chocobos"

Gil nodded "Well Nadira hasn't really told me much about you though I've met Hitomi and Takeo briefly before" he said downing his wine as Enkidu came out from underneath the table to sniff Ranmaru.
Oassu smirked "I'm sure though I'll try not to make myself sick" he said "Chocobos tend to be more multipurpose than horses because most of them have some small degree of magic" he said twirling his dessert spoon in his hand "Still I guess horses do look kinda special" he said.
Itaka shrugged indifference to the food being spicy "Sure bet Alpha is probably plotting the same thing, though Doctors still have a place in society, some creatures inflict wounds that are resistant to magic and just leave the person weak these days so need medicine and potions to fix them up" he said.
Zadina smiled "Maybe we can still get you some backstage then" he said placing Merric back down now he seemed ok as they entered the fenced off backstage area "Should we be all quiet then in case people are trying to sleep" he said watching the clowns somewhat surprised they actually enjoyed the pie-in-the-face act in their spare time.

Seph nodded throwing a selection of spices into the pot along with a sprinkle or three of two different herbs "Oh yeah they still have their place I don't doubt that but mages heal faster and cost less money. All the same no offence to Felina but I would rather have a doctor treating me regularly. They spend more time learning their way around the body than the mages do and mages can't do some things like removing bullets and the like" she shuddered a sudden memory springing up. "And of course Alpha would be plotting, he loves anythin shiny like a giant demonic magpie"
Alpha shook his head "Nah most of them won't be in bed since they only just got out. But what I mean is its like their bedrooms so its also where they go to get changed out of their performing clothes and take all their face paint and the like off. But nows a good time to talk to any of them that are still outside" he shrugged pointing to the clowns then the mine floating around ahead of them then one or two other members of staff including the fortune teller and his chocobo now in plain sight.
Amane nodded her head understandingly "Oh I get it, its where all the performers go to have a little private time and one of these will be Mu's right?. Though some of these demons are a little scary looking now we're all up close like this" she quietly whispered to Zadina.
Hebal smiled randomly waving at one of the demons that was more than aware that he was being watched "We'll have time to be quiet later on Zadina and I think its nice to see demons like to chill and stuff just as much as anyone else. Though I don't like the look of that pie throwing thing, it would make my fur all smelly and sticky even if itdid taste good"

Corella nodded "Oh yes horses are lovely little things. I have three pretty white ones in the palace stables that love to gallop around. And Felina should introduce you to her horse. She's older than mine but she're a really nice brown one with little white spots and smaller so you wouldn't have as much difficulty climbing up"
Felina smiled gently putting her hand on Oassu's to stop him playing with his spoon "Well isn't it fortunate you have a white mage on hand to cure your every tummy pain caused by eating too much, isn't it so useful"
Satoshi yawned bending down and petting Enkidu as he passed by "Yeah well you've met anyone now and I figured it would be mean to tell you too much about them without permission.
"I heard about your meeting with Hitomi in Tricasia. We were on a mission at that point and it was her job to gather more supplies. Had you have arrived two days sooner then we would have had spent more time as a group. Though I can't say that I miss the hot and sandy climate of the place" Ranmaru explained eeling a little guilty as he cautiously petted Gil's companion

Oassu frowned at Corella's words muttering "Humans ride horses too" to himself as he dropped the spoon at Felina's hint. "Yeah it's handy for things though why did you decide you wanted to learn white magic?" he asked.
Gil nodded "Well is it difficult doing missions when you are lacking someone?" he asked watching as Enkidu sat allowing Ranmaru to pet him "And Tricasia isn't so bad, hardly a desert not like the Bangaa wastes it's more tropical there unfortunately Tricasia is the most peaceful place on that continent I hear some of the smaller settlements are plagued by gangs" he said
Itaka smirked "Hey careful now, with the likes of Jeckhart out there there might just be giant demonic magpies who take offense to that" he said peeking over Seph's shoulder into the pot "Though yeah, I'm sure Psy totally would argue the benefits of medicine" he said
Zadina paused for a moment before patting Amane on the shoulder "Don't worry Amane I'm gonna be your guardian I'll keep you safe from any big bad demons and the like" he said trying to reassure them "Besides you've met Captain Alpha and Mr Jeckhart and they wouldn't hurt a fly" he said looking over at the clown demons "It's hard to tell whether they have fur or not but I'd imagine they wouldn't because that does sound rather horrible Miss Hebal" he said watching them laugh as the pies were finished.

Seph laughed shaking her head slightyly "Oh don't get Psy going on about his alchemy and his medicine, you'll have him talking for hours and half the time neither me or Alpha know what he's talking about either. Though there are magpie demons or a family with very similar properties to magpies though Jeckhart is clearly a different type of bird demon to those. And now all we have to do is wait for this pot to boil" she added spinning around and planting a kiss on Itaka's chin.
Amane smiled bit looked at Alpha somewhat hesitant for a second "No I guess they wouldn't hurt fly unless they were afraid of flies hehe or one was trying to hurt thrm in some way. Though as my guardian you might have to dive in front of those pies to stop them hitting me" she added jokingly giving Zadina a hug
Hebal nodded trying not to stare too much at the clowns "I think at least one of those has fur but can't really say for the others but that other fuzzy demon watching them too doesn't seem to like the idea of it either" she whispered pointing to the rabbit like demon now sitting down on top of a pile of boxes.
Alpha squinted looking for a moment at who she meant "Yeah he wouldn't like pies and other food thrown at him either. Oh I actually know that person somwhat, thats Athys-eoan his grandfather was viera or something like that. Not a bad person"

Ranmaru hesitated eventually shaking his head "Well no not usually for most teams operate in groups of three but in certain conditions where younger less experienced ninja loses their team for unfortunate reasons they are often placed with an already operating team. Most teams work best when the people on them have grown up together so its less of a shake up than forming completely new teams of people who have never met" he explained avoiding mentioning Hitomi's history. "Tricasia was just a simple spy on a few people and see what they were up to sort of mission so didnt have much skill involved. Just rich fighting over some womans hand and using dirty tricks, couldn't care less of the details"
Satoshi paused leaning over and patting Hitomi on the back seeing a small frown "Yeah thats what happened with me and Ranmaru, we got thrown together with a different team of ninjas until those three went into teaching and solo work and different departments and then these two joined on later. It's kind of a complex case by case system when it comes to team reformations"
"Well... I don't really remember the original reasons why I wanted to learn white mageic because I learned at a very young age like over 400 years ago when I was asked what I wanted to do but I guess I just wanted to help people even from a young age" Felina guessed a little embarrassed she couldn't remember.
Elorin let out a small laugh "Are you sure your not just being modest? Because even at the age of 90 you were giving me speeches about how you wanted to help people and protect back the people that look out for you around the palace. You were a right cute little charmer at that age"

Gil chuckled "Glad I don't get such small-scale requests as that, sound pointless and petty, not that some wars aren't but at least there's often more justification than that behind my missions" he said shrugging "Your system does seem a bit complex but at least it allows you to be with someone you know most of the time which is probably a bit reassuring when you are just starting out" he said.
Oassu snickered "Yeah sounds like she was an adorable little helper, can just see you running around now casting cure on everyone whether they needed it or not" he said with a smirk.
Itaka chuckled kissing Seph's horns as he stroked her wings "Sure hell I'd argue dragons are a bit like that seeing as they love to hoard their treasure" he said "But yeah many doctors double in alchemy now so they still have a good place in the world" he said moving away from the pot to get a beer from the fridge.
Zadina giggled returning the hug "Well if I have to but yeah I think we met that bunny demon earlier, he gave us some of our toys" he said looking at the water pistol strapped to his hip "Still I wanna see the friendly little kitty demons we saw earlier, they were really impressive in the show" he said

"Well dragons are greedy creatures and it was freaky seeing talking dragon demon mixed creatures back in the demon world. Had really hard to pronounce long named but despite everything were surprisingly charming" Seph recalled searching for a spoon half distracted by occasionally glancing at what Itaka was doing. "Makes you wonder if some gria have their own little treasure stashes hidden about Kunec and the sky city is a secret gold mine"
Amane nodded catching Alpha and his aquaintance exchange nods as they passed from across the small area "Yeah we totally did see that guy earlier. He pretty much won me the carbuncle doll so we should maybe keep quiet about that around here in case a boss shows up" she whispered.
Hebal grinned only listening up the mention of the carbuncle doll "Aww well thats nice of him to help you out and I won't tell anyone. Though who are these cat demons Alpha, do you know them? And how do you know that guy" she questionned him.
Alpha smirked hearing Zadina and Amane's news "Well that doesn't surprise me Athys is a big softie deep down. He's actually been seeing Mu for a while if you know what I mean. Thats how I know him, don't know your cat demons but you can always ask Mu yourself as its this caravan just here" he shrugged giving the side of the mobile home a small bang with his fist"
"Hey hey don't you do that your shaking my home!" Came the sound of a voice as the door flung open and almost off its hinges as a fuzzy purple demon. "So you came afterall, happy early dragon festival dad" she said in a slightly softer tone pouncing onto Alpha wrestling him to the ground.
Alpha grunted having already expected such a reaction "Why the hell wouldn't I come, its one of your big shows though your not really making a good first impression you know" he chuckled indicating to a confused looking Amane.

Elorin nodded with a small smirk deciding to seize the opportunity to embarrass his daughters a little but "Oh yes she was a bit like that though most of the early years consisited of her making all the staff members glow for an hour or two. Then there was the phase where she kept giving all the guards a flower and insisting they wore it to brighten up their armour. And I don't know what you're laughing at Crella as you've had some moments too like when you tried to convert the kitchen into a sweet shop" he laughed.
"Yeah well hopefully the women stuck in the middle wised up and realised she could do better than those two guys. But seriously it was like the easiest job ever and we've done missions twice as hard for a quarter of the pay before so I wasn't going to complain" Takeo cut in with a satisfied nod.
Satoshi rolled her eyes "Yeah well I'm sure the lady could do better though its only natural those you grow up with tend to make better team mates because theres a lot more initial trust. We dont tend to join in wars and direct battles as its not our style. which is why mercenaries like you get more well known than us"

Oassu snickered "Sounds like you both had your cute moments as children, probably brightened the guards day with those flowers" he said giving Felina's hand a squeeze under the table.
Gil nodded "I figure, but no matter there's famous ninja too however" he said finishing his drink "Could use another one of these" he said petting Enkidu "So what are you all asking the great dragon for?" he asked with a chuckle.
Itaka laughed "Should've sent my men there if that's the case though I don't think Kunec is rich enough for their citizens to just spend the day lying around on piles of gold" he said absently playing with Seph's tail
Zadina tilted his head surprised at the behaviour "That looks painful" he whispered to Amane as they watched the demons wrestling on the ground,

Amane nodded backing away slowly "Well this is odd, I thought family members would be happy and hugging and stuff if they hadn't seen eachother for a long time not this she frowned shuffling a little closer to Zadina.
Hebal shrugged patting Amane's ears "Don't worry, play fighting like that is very common with groups of demons. Fire demons from experience are especially funny like that" she whispered assuringly to Amane with a small giggle. "Umm guys, reunion aside its not the best way to say hello to new people" she giggled.
Alpha chuckled rubbing his back "Ahh I'm getting way too old for that. Well guys in case you haven't guessed this is Mu, my daughter and I know we don't have a strong resemblence but she's fortunate enough to get most of her mothers features. And Mu if you ever got round to reading your mail you should know all these guys already"
Mu frowned spotting Amane's expression "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you there. I'm not so bad, see" she smiled jumping onto her feet changing into a tall slim redhead human form mid jump. "Evening... Hebal and Zadina and you are... Amane isn't is? See I totally read my mail eventually!"
Seph laughed twitching sunddenly in surprise as Itaka suddently played with her tail "I don't think they sleep on treasure piles but did you see Gil's trophy, that thing was at least 50% real gold so they have to have some good riches hidden away and they do a lot of trade and business with the moogles plus they to come from dragons so might have some ancient dragon treasures. Though we should try our luck robbing dwarves for the real good stuff in terms of gold"

Satoshi raised her eyebrow but laughed deciding to play along with Gil "Well I asked for him to stop sending me socks that I don't need and maybe send me a few paint brushes or some nice fabric I can use to make a pretty dress and hopefully he'll listen to me this year. Dragons can be so stubborn"
"Oh oh my turn now!" Hitomi cut in excitedly "I asked for some for another fan. I collect fans you see Gil and then I also asked also for my own little ninja pet. A nice fizzy companion to travel about with. Like an owl perhaps as they also make good messengers"
Ranmaru shrugged unsure of how to explain what he wanted "I don't really want anything much to be honest... just to go out and have a good time with people I like. Maybe get to know others better to" he answered deliberately being vague.
Takeo rolled his eyes "I guess I'm with Satoshi when I say I want him to give me something other than useless things like socks but other than that I just think I'll just let the dragon decide for me. Now I believe its your turn Gil."
Felina blushed a little mad her dad was clearly trying to embarass her"WellI guess they liked it, if they didn't then none of them were mean enough to tell me though one or two rold me they lost their flowers when I asked why they weren't being worn"
"And so you gave them new ones and lectured them on how to take care of flowers and gifts from others. So even if guards didn't like it they couldn't be rid of you and your flowers" Elorin smirked spying her blushing. "You would be surprised at how many fans you have in this palace from all your years of kindness" he added hoping to make her feel better.

Gil grinned rubbing his chin for a bit "Well if the Dragon truly blesses me then he'd deliver the legendary sword Excalibur to me but perhaps that's an unreasonable request" he said chuckling slightly before glancing at Hitomi "Though you should have had a look around the market in Tricasia if you wanted a pet, it's where Nadira picked up this little guy" he said indicating the snoozing snake around her neck.
Oassu smiled "Sounds very much like you Feli" he said with a snicker "Still nothing wrong with what you did back then, don't be embarrassed" he said going to kiss Felina's ear but whispering "Much more moral than my childhood activities at any rate" he said.
Zadina smiled petting Amane's other ear "Well consider it a lesson in culture Amane, you're going to be seeing many other places and customs when you set off on your pilgrimage." he said bowing politely to Mu "Greetings Miss Mu it's a pleasure to meet Cap'n Alpha's daughter" he said.
Itaka shrugged "Well the Gria don't have any other cities to my knowledge, not enough population and skycities must be expensive to maintain, so probably got all their wealth holed up in one place." he said thinking "Though I do wonder if they have some inherited dragon treasure from their ancestors now" he said
