"Mmmmmm, you're making me hungry!" aki exclaims, giving Nezrain a smile.
"I do think it would be fun.. hopefully it would break down some of the barriers between the students, SeeDs, and staff."

"Haha, I have a feeling we'll be hitting the cafeteria again or something. Though it is true. It may not be fair for me to say this, since I only so recently returned, but there does seem to be a permeating sense of apathy and detachment lately. I think some sort of mixer or whatever would be a good idea to help change that."

She paused, laughing. "Wow, I never thought I'd be the one encouraging us to throw some party. I mean, I guess some things have changed a lot since I first came here." She flashed back mentally on her own SeeD coronation, and recalled just how out of her element the whole thing had been, right down to being rather incapable of accepting a compliment from Blank. How the times had changed, she mused in her head.

"Yeah... I remember way back when we were all new and we were all students still... everyone was so close.
And now, most of us are gone. And those that are still around are all running this place and we're busy all the time, or gone away on missions... and all the new students are scared to treat us like normal people. Our whole lives are consumed by work now, and sometimes I really miss the carefree days we used to have," Aki replies, suddenly feeling nostalgic.

"Yeah, I know what you mean." As they walked in silence for a moment, Nezrain's eyes on the moon, she flashed back on how shy she used to be, uncomfortable with contact and friendliness. She remembered how easily Blank and Shirow had made her blush, and how close she had felt with Luncia. Shaking herself from her reverie, she rand a hand through her hair in a futile attempt to clear it from her face. "Yeah, memories are nice, but sometimes that's all they are," she echoed words of another, still looking at the moon, before dropping her gaze back to Aki as they continued along the roadside.

"Yeah. I guess the only thing we can do now is make the best of what we have and make some new memories," Aki replies.
She catches Nezrain's gaze and smiles at her as they approach the Garden.

Madame Royale
Suijin noticed that Shiro was paying more attention to her more than staffs but only acknowledged it with a smile. "When I was first being trained with the staff, I used a wooden one. It was light since I wasn't too strong," she looked over the various staffs. There were different types in wood, metal, and even plastic. She took a standard metal staff off the wall and felt the weight, then handed it to Shiro, "You're already strong so a metal one would be easy for you. You can get one that's heavy all the way through it like that one, or you could get one that's move heavy on one end or both ends like mine." Suijin pulled another staff off the wall, it was a few inches longer than the other one, but had more weight on the ends. "I think as long as they are solid and not flexible, they won't be easily broken."

"Hmm? Weighted ends? Heavy all the way through?" Shiro cocked his head as he got lost in thought, he had no idea. He'd just used the staff his dad trained him with, which was a wooden one so probably it was one solid weight. What were the benefits of a weighted one at the ends? Well with heavier ends than center, the momentum gathered in the staff would probably slingshot itself to the heavy end like a pendulum or something. That would make for a harder strike maybe, but there was probably a bit of compensation you would have to put in to wield something with ends that felt twice as heavy once they were in motion. As Shiro thought about all the factors at play he almost burned out his brain, it was to complicated for him. "That's a little to advanced for me I think, I'm better with my fists than my staff. I think I'll get the heavy one all the way through." He said as he picked up the metal staff she'd pointed out, and held it out balancing it on his finger. "Ah, nice and even, balanced and well made indeed. And it's got a good weight to it too." It was heavier than the staff's he had used before, but it felt nice having somethign like this in hand. Nice and sturdy, a solid metal staff like this could probably deflect bullets it he got good enough with it. "I'll take it. Good call babe."

"Are you okay with that one?" Suijin asked then pointed to another staff on the wall, "You can get a thicker one. But if that's the one you want, then let's go buy it." she said, inching towards the counter.

((sorry, no idea what to say. ^^;; ))

"Hmm? Thicker one?" Shiro said as he looked at the wall. He thought about it for a second, but he was ok with the one he had. A thicker staff would be sturdier, but also heavier and he wouldn't be able to grip it as well. For now the staff he had picked up was good good, and if it did break then he knew he could get a thicker one any time. "This one's fine. How about you, not gonna get anything for yourself hun?" He asked, already heading for the counter. Opening his wallet he pulled out the money for the staff, handing it to the clerk.

"Hehe, no I'm good." She replied. She stood at the counter, looking around at the weapons. They were neat, but still the staff was the only weapon for her. "Ready to go?" she asked, once the transaction was done. They began walking and were soon found their way outside the city and into the monster infested lands.

((Uumm... you start with the monsters. XD I don't remember what kind were outside of Deling except for the Tomb.))

((There's just Thrustaevis and Wendigo, apparently. Unless they also travel to the Tomb of the Unknown King?))

"Always ready." Shiro said with a grin as he took his staff and followed Suijin out. There they would end up didn't matter, what they would do was train. Beating up monsters and looking good doing it, that's what this was all about. "Man this is boring, there should be way more monsters out here shouldn't there be?" He said after a bit of walking. They hadn't traveled far from the city at all, but Shiro was bored and to him it felt like a lifetime. The sun was high and hot, the ground a little dry. It was kind of miserable to tell the truth but that was alright. With a pretty young thing like Suijin by his side everything was better than ok. To be honest, spending time with Suijin was most important of all, Shiro didn't even want to fight any monsters anymore. As he started to smile again, the universe saw it fit to answer this smile with the exact opposite of what he desired now. As if from out of nowhere, two monsters appeared. One resembled a headless ape of sorts, green and yellowish in color. The other a dark blue flying type monster with two sets of wings, one right on top of the other. The two looked wild and ready to fight, which is why they were here in the first place. "Heh heh, here we go. Any idea what these things are?" Shiro said as he gripped his new staff.

"The flying one is a Thrustaevis, but I don't know the other one." Suijin answered. Of course, the flying one would be one that she knew of since they shared the same element. "Which one do you want?" she asked with a grin.

"A Thrustawhateversits eh? Well since you know what it is you should probably take it on, I want the mystery thing." As Shiro spoke he was already stepping forward, cracking his knuckles and ready to go. He didn't know what to expect from this ape thingy but it didn't matter, he'd have to take it down regardless of it's abilities and that's all that mattered to him. However, before he was able to really get into position with the creature it suddenly launched forward, grabbing Shiro and using it's massive powerful hands to crush Shiro into a ball. There had to be some sort of magic at play here because it was the weirdest thing Shito had ever felt. After that the being proceeded to dribble Shiro like a basket ball a few times before slammign him onto the groudn, at which point Shiro retained his normal shape as he bounced back up, landing on one knee. "O-ouch...that was new. Alright you b*****d, if you want to play then we'll play." With that Shiro shot forward, forgetting about his staff for the moment as he planted his fist in the creature's gut and sending it skyward with a mighty uppercut. But Shiro wasn't done there, he jumped up with the creature, grabbing it around it's waist and squeezing hard as he forced them to flip over, coming down the the ground hard and planting the creature into the ground with a suplex. The ground shook a bit from impact, but Crenu stood up with a grin in on his face, and the green ape like creature stood up as well. "Oh I'm gonna enjoy this."

((Lol wendigos are a b***h, then it only takes like one or two hits to kill the bird. XD))

Suijin watched as Shiro rushed into his battle with the monster, cringing when the Wendigo used him like a basketball. She wanted to ask if he was okay but she suddenly caught a glimpse of the Thrustaevis, who flew at her in one sweep. Suijin attempted to block but her arm was slashed by the monster's claws and she was knocked down by the force of it. "Ow.." she glanced at her arm before standing up again, gripping her staff tightly in one hand. She ran and jumped, spinning her staff above her in the air and swung the staff down hard onto the flying creature. A few seconds after landing on the ground, the Thrustaevis started to sway and eventually the limp body also fell to the ground. "Tch.. that'll teach you." she said, then turned to see how Shiro was doing. "Do you want help?"

((lol, they really are a pain in the a**))

Staring the Wendingo down Shiro picked took the staff from hsi back, spinning it over his head rapidly. "I think so." He answered with a bit of a grin, a little more serious than usual. "Be careful though, this thing's real tough." Takign a few stepps back away from the beast in order to regroup with Suijin, Shiro cast a protect spell aroudn the both of them, having wished he'd done so sooner. The Wendigo of course wasn't willing to just sit there and watch and rushed the two for another attack.
