::he gave her what appeared to be a smile::The Prince is the one who discovered this, and so it became his duty to make sure that those who would use it wrongly or are not worthly of such power and responsiblity obtain it.

Kaida finally stood tall and as she stood there she clenched her fists. "We wish for passage through here to see your prince. We may not be worthy in your eyes but we were intrusted with this mission for the sake of our village. If you will not give us passage to your prince then we will force passage. We do not wish to take lives but if we must we will. We are willing to risk our lives for our village and even a training mission is no different. Let us pass or we will do so by force." Kaida had a strong look of determination even as trouble seemed to brew within her own heart. She didn't wish to kill needlessly but she wasn't sure how long it would take for these creatures to give in.

::the wolf looked at her glowing eyes calm, the glow beginning to spread over his body his fur beginning to ruffle with the force of what they could only assume was chakra. For a moment he focused on her and then looked up, passed her shoulder. The other wolves began to raise their heads, looking in the same direction as the leader::
We are not your enemy child, we are just charged with a duty, a service for past sins. If you beleive yourselves strong enough and pure enough of heart not to be corrupted by the power of the thing you seek, then you may pass. But if you are to do so, do so quickly, before they come.
::he stood and began to move towards the forest:: Remember, violence is not always the way younglings. We could easily have killed you where you stand if that had been our aim, but it was not. Ours is only to test, to make sure that those who come seeking the gem are not evil of heart. You are not, but you are young and rash.
::he gave what seemed a smile:: Be careful, younglings, for those who would seek the gem for evil deeds approach. Go, now, before the window closes. And be warned, the Prince is not all that he seems
::with that, he gave a short and sad howl, the other wolves stood and moved into the woods::

Kaida stood her ground and then bowed in respect as the wolves left. "I know I am rash.... but I lead and I force myself forward when few others would." She goes forward taking Rei with her. "Lets go. I want to meet this prince fella."

::the entrance to the cave was bare, just an opening carved into plain rock. The opening was dark and the air inside was stale::

Kaida walked forward and pushed all fear from her mind. She moved forward with her team mate by her side. "Let's go... I don't want to be in here any longer than we have to be."

"Agreed this place is way bothersome" Rei shut her eyes and put her hands behind her head, then open them. Looking at all the walls and studing them.

::the walls were overly smooth, as if someone had taken great time and care with them. They were cool to the touch and actually had a polished sheen to them. The ground was also clear of rock and debris, making travel easy enough, even as the dark grew more absolute::

Kaida kept moving and a chill ran up her spine looking around. "I don't like this it is much too perfect." (where is our prince... *rawr*)

(ooc: well, shabang is supposed to be playing him. I'll give him a PM so that he knows to start checking in on this thread too. If no prompt response comes then I shall play the prince)
::a slight rumbling sound could be heard again, and a trickle of sand spilled onto their heads from the top of the cave. The smell in the air changed to something fragrant, close to the smell of sweet lilacs::

The Prince looked upon the group of childern with caution, than a voice echoed through the cave,
"What are you doing here?"

Kaida moved forward and stood there in plain sight with Rei. "We are here on behalf of our village to remove from you an artifact." Kaida stood there unafraid of this prince person. She talked civilly not wanting to attack until she absolutely had to. She kept her silence waiting for his move in turn.
