Now that they were a safe distance from the pokemart and Toph wasn't yelling anymore Edge let go of her hand and Storm gave her the package he had been holding, Queeny simply followed them her nose still up in the air as she pranced behind them. Edge keeping up his bodygaurd job was scanning the area his ear's perked up and swiviling in all direction's in an attempt to keep track of everything around them. They were half way through the trail back to Pallet town when something actually happened. A swarm of Pidgey's had apperently spotted them and thought that perhap's they might have food and decided to swoop down on the small party. Edge imediatly jumped out to Toph's side and began swiping around with his long claw's in an attempt to keep the flapping bird's away. Storm recoved quickly and was shooting Water Gun's all around them tring to keep them from coming any closer. Queeny al way's ready for a fight just saw this as an oppertunity to show that she was better then everyone and dove into the fray eagerly.
Standing in the middle of all this mess was Toph Bei Fong who had an annoyed expression on her face, she couldn't see anything that her pokemon were attacking though she could hear the wing beat's and the wind from the wing's agains't her she really wasn't quite sure what to do her pokemon seemed to be able to handle everything that was being thrown at them and in a way she felt kind of useless much to her displeasure.

Falkner merely smiled as Pidgey easily spotted the oncoming attack, and promptly sped out of reach of the blast of sand, taking only a minor hit on its wing. "Let's end this! Aerial Ace!" the leader called, standing tall. He pushed a wisp of dark hair from his eyes and grinned as Pidgey did a quick loop, slashing the air with its wings. Two sharp blades of wind were both sent flying towards Larvitar.

Crenu smiled, as he had been counting on this move. He waited untill the very last moment when pidgey was as close to Larvitar as possible before attacking. "Larvitar now! Bite!" Larvitar leapt forward into the air to counter pidgey's attack with it's powerfull jaws. He was suffering from the burn and had almost no energy left.

"Heh, he didn't like that," Keegan chuckled, placing his hands on his hips. "Okay Themis! Spark attack!" he called, feeling that familiar fire building up in his chest and stomach. He glanced back to Dante for a second, and noticed the Vibrava was loose. He involuntarily touched his hair, and turned back to the battle in time to see Themis deliver an electrified tackle to the already hurting Growlithe, who collapsed. A grin spread across the boy's face as Miko wordlessly recalled her Pokemon. However, she refused to show anger as she selected her next Poke Ball, and tossed it. A Koffing appeared on the battlefield, hovering a few feet from the ground, puffs of smoke escaping its many large pores.

Larvitar's jaws scored a hit, leaving a nasty mark on Pidgey's right wing. Although still able to fly, its maneuverability had been reduced, and it whirled around in mid-air, letting lose another Gust attack on Falkner's command. This one was slightly weaker than the other attacks Pidgey had conjured up. Falkner resolved to give both his Pokemon ample rewards when the battle was through, regardless of the outcome.

"How much longer can Larvitar hold out... damn. Gotta end this now.... Larvitar, full power Sandstorm! Put everything you've got into it!" Larvitar winced as he struggled to move, but puled it off. He made his way to center arena and conjured up the biggest sandstorm yet, this one sounded as if it were angry as is it roared through the air heading for pidgey.

"Heh, thanks. I'll give it a shot once my battling skills get better," Rin said returning the smile. She tucked the red device away once the number exchange was complete. Rin looked at her Pokeballs, wanting some company from her companions. Stupid Rocket. Took down two of my best Pokemon. I should go heal Sakura and Akira. Kuya and Mizu too. "You must be a skilled trainer to have taken Falkner down."

After a small walk Mitsu found her way into the Lavaridge Pokemon Center of the fourth time that day. She gave Nurse Joy a sheepish grin handing over Nightmare's Pokeball again. The nurse gave her a sharp, hard look before turning the Pokeball over to her assistant, a Chansey. "What have you been doing?" she demanded. Mitsu had come in before from two previous battles and after Kasiya and her small trek up the side of Mount Chimney. "I'm not doing anything to purposely harm him," Mitsu half shot back. "It was just some training..." she added quietly. She silently wondered what Nurse Joy would think after coming back again after her match with Flannery. "Give him a small break, all right?" the pink-haired woman said before turning away to take care of some other injured Pokemon. Mitsu walked over to a chair, her head hung down.

"They have those in Hoenn too, you know," Keegan shrugged. "But whatever." He ran his fingers through his hair, and grinned. "Themis, Thunderbolt!" he called, watching eagerly as his Pokemon complied, electricity crackling over the battlefield as it rocketed towards the Koffing. It grunted through the attack, retaliating with thick smog that coated the battlefield in a dreary blanket of haze. Keegan groaned and pinched his nose; the stench of that Koffing was nearly unbearable. Themis groaned as well, feeling a little sick to his stomach, as he was afflicted with a poison status.

That's it! I'm not feeling sorry for myself anymore. And I'm tired of waiting for Mike to finish. I'll go challange Norman. Mitsu stood up, her fists balled up, not that she noticed. Unclenching her hands she walked over to the counter as the signature 'ding' sounded. Mitsu thanked and promised Nurse Joy that she'd take it easy before whipping around to face the door, Pokeball in hand. Soon as she turned to face the sliding doors she and another trainer met, and crashed face to face. "Excuse me! I'm so sorry!" Mitsu said in a hurry helping the trainer up. "Don't worry about it," he said handing Mitsu Nightmare's Pokeball which she did not even noticed that she had dropped. Finally taking a good look at the trainer she realized who it was. "Daniel?!" Mitsu half gasped not expecting the person to have been someone she knew. "Mitsu? I didn't recogonized you there for a second with those cute new clothes on," he chuckled. She turned a slight shade of pink, any compliment seemed to do the trick.

How much more can that poor Pokemon take? Falkner thought, frowning. He glanced at his own Pokemon, who was also looking like he was in pretty rough shape. Its damaged wing looked bad, and Falkner hung his head and sighed before he held up a Poke Ball and recalled Pidgey before the Sandstorm could reach it. "That's enough," he stated softly. "You've proven your worth. The Zephyr Badge is yours." He turned and walked back to the same stone pillar, and took a shining badge from its case, as well as a small package. He turned on his heel and waited for Crenu to acknowledge that the battle was over.

"Oh, no, not at all," Miharu said sheepishly, quickly tucking away her PokeNav. It was still very new, not a scratch or scuff on it. "Like I said, my battle with Falkner was atrocious. You would have laughed, had you been there." She swallowed hard, and looked away. "But it'll be different with Bugsy." She nodded, and looked back at Rin. "At least that's what I hope." Still pushing her bike along, Miharu lead the way to the Pokemon Center. "Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking?" she asked, strangely eager for conversation. She'd never had a real friend before, and perhaps this Rin person could become one.

Upon smelling the gasses the Koffing was emitting Dante lifted his hand and delicatly pinched his nose shut with a small frown on his face. Bahamut either didn't care or didn't smell it because she was chewing on Dante's hair which apprently tasted good. Dante himself was rather annoyed by that and tried to brush his pesky pokemon off but the bug like pokemon wouldn't let go, groaning he just decided her to do what she wanted, he could fix his hair latter. "Keegan you better beat thi spokemon fast because I really don't want to smell this anymore." He muttered to himself as he watched the battle continue.

"I'm sure it was just fine!" Rin said. Her cheery attitude could be quite annoying at times, at least accoring to her older sister Risa. "Me? I'm from Azalea, it just so happens to be the town where Bugsy holds his gym. He's sort of tough," Rin said remembering her sister's gym match with him. Risa had crushed him with little effort. Bro's, her beloved Slowbro, ice and psychic attacks had done the trick. The duo soon came upon Goldenrod's city entrance. The place looked huge compared to Rin's small, modest home of Azalea.

As her pokemon battled around her to keep the Pidgey's away Toph bit her bottom lip for a moment and setting her stance and taking a step forward out of the protective circle that her pokemon had made for her. Focusing on the flapping bird's around her she slowly made her way out of the storm he step's gaining more strengh as she kept walking. Once out she turned around and 'looked' at her pokemon. "Edge, Storm, Queeny! Ignore them we need to get going, I dont want to spend anymore time here, beside's they arn't worth your time." She said firmly.
Edge, Storm and Queeny and the rest of the swarm stopped their fighting upon hearing Toph's strong voice. The three land pokemon looked at each other for a moment befor Storm shrugged and headed off to his trainer's side. Edge waited a bit longer to make sure the bird's didn't make any attempt's of following them as Queeny trotted to where Toph was standing in her usual arrogant way. After that there were no difficultie's in reaching Pallet town. It also didn't take long for Toph to locate the high pokemon rate around one particular building and headed over to it assuming it was Prof. Oak's lab.
