[[Gah!! The common room is dead for months, and when there's finally people in it and making over two pages of posts, I'm at school. Stupid time zones. I m,issed the entire conversation and now nobody is online. *furiously scowls at computer* (Yes, I really am scowling at it).]]
[[I'm going to catch up now from Miranda's first post and just pretend I was part of your conversation. biggrin This could be quite long.]
Lyra leans over and glomps Miranda from behind, since she is sitting in front of the sofa. "Hello again!"
Hearing the common room door open, Lyra looks up to see a new student entering. "Hello Sam! Welcome to Ravenclaw. I'm Lyra, a fourth year. And yes, this place has been this desolate for a little while. Hopefully it'll be a little better now, though." She gives the new girl a big grin.
"There's only one boy currently in Ravenclaw, but he hasn't been here for a long time."
Lyra sets her book down, and joins the other two, deciding not to continue talking across the room. " I've only been on the Hogwarts Express a couple times as well. I usually just spend the breaks here." [[I've tried posting in both before and it can get a little confusing, but it's fun.]]
"I plan to take a couple classes, but not too many. Each person has seven years [terms] to take all the classes, so why rush. Sometimes people try to take too many classes and end up not doing all the HW and then losing house points. That's never good. My advice is don't try to take too many at once." [[I'll be teaching Astronomy again this term. biggrin ]]
[[Twilight: I like it, but I'm not a giggling fangirl who is obsessed with Edward or Jacob (or anyone else, for that matter). I've read a LOT of books that I like better than Twilight. And I basically hated the last book of the series. Have either of you read The Host?]]

[[I read it and thought it was quite good. It's worth a read, in my opinion. I'm supposed to be leaving for school in half an hour (it's Wednesday). I'm about 18 hours ahead of the US west coast, or something like that. I figured it out and posted it a few pages back.]]

Miranda is glomped! Dx "Hello Ms. Lyra!" She looks back at Sam. "I think I was taking WAYYY too many classes! I can't even remember anymore. I enjoy Muggle Studies a lot, and I really hope that we have a teacher for it this year!"

~Lyra: I've read the Twlight series, and I found Edward to be quite annoying. xDD I haven't read The Host, but I've been somewhat curious to know what it's about. Do you mind telling me a little bit of it?))

((ALL of my friends are obsessed with Twilight. DID YOU KNOW THAT THE TWIFAGS SNARL?! I learned that when I was saying how stupid Twilight is. xDD))

"Yeah. My mother has told me much already, since she doesn't like my father using the magic around the house, she wants to do it the 'normal' way. When she's out, my father and I often clean the house for her when she comes home, she thinks that we did it all by hand." Sam says.
