You can't blame -me- for that...Shinji pouted, pulling himself up as well. People make me that way. He wrinkled his nose some, sticking out his tongue to Lena just barely before pulling her to kiss him a moment. He released her some and nudged her forward, silently letting her know he'd see her to bed.

Lena laughed and shook her head a little. She smiled and took hold of Shinji's hand before moving to head upstairs.

Shinji grinned to himself as he followed Lena, shaking his head to himself about her being very correct about his one-track mind.

Lena pushed open the door to her room once they reached the top of the stairs and lead Shinji inside. She smiled and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before letting go of his hand and going off to change her clothes.

Shinji smiled and watched Lena go, grinning to himself as he moved to the bed and held out a hand - a dozen deep red roses resting in the middle of the pillows. He tilted his head some, still grinning softly before moving to make his way to the couch, letting his figure fall against it, resting his hands under his head on one end and crossing his legs as his thick boots rest on the other.

After changing into her pajamas, Lena looked over towards the bed and smiled as she saw the roses there. She headed over to the couch where Shinji had layed down, "I love you..." she smiled as she spoke, before leaning down to kiss him softly.

Shinji smiled brightly as Lena's lips met him, and he shifted some to place a hand on her head to keep her there a moment before letting her stand back up. I love you, too, he echoed, smiling still. Beautiful girls should always get beautiful flowers from their idiot boyfriends. he snickered, shifting to sit so he could kiss her again before she could try to tell him he wasn't an idiot.

Lena smiled as she let the kiss linger a moment before pulling away "Mmm... that's very sweet of you, but you aren't an idiot..." she shook her head some and brushed Shinji's cheek gently as she spoke.

That kiss was supposed to keep you from saying that...Shinji laughed, nuzzling into Lena's hand before taking it and kissing it softly, keeping his eyes to hers the while.

"You know me better than that Shinji.... when've I ever let you get away with putting yourself down..?" Lena said with a bit of a laugh "nice try though..." she grinned before leaning in to kiss him once more.

Shinji smirked slightly and kissed Lena again as well, shifting to pull her down to sit with him on the couch as he rested his head against the arm rest again.

Lena let her eyes fall shut for a moment as she held her lips against Shinji's. "It's getting awfully late..." she said, after pulling away.

Shinji nodded in agreement with Lena, and brushed her cheek softly before moving to help her back to her feet. You're right - you should get some rest. He kissed her forhead and lead her to her bed, kissing her nose softly before offering a smile. I'll stay on the couch for tonight - my mind is restless and I don't want to disturb your sleep. He bowed his head to her slightly and offered his smile again, kissing her hand once more before stepping back to the couch.

"Alright..." Lena said with a nod before picking up the roses and setting them on the bedside table. She turned back the covers and made herself comfortable before saying "goodnight Shinji..."

Goodnight, Lena. Shinji smiled to Lena and bowed his head some before resting back on the couch, sighing softly as he half listened to Lena's breathing and half let his mind run wild.
