well i can't do that part yet, can i? xD braggart! fie on thee! xD i have to pick a starter pair of shoes for my girls still. i've pretty much settled on eyes, and i'm really looking for that perfect wig, i can't find it anywhere, but i just saw it a week or two ago. it was black with a few pink streaks, on this site that did custom wigs of varying colours. do you know of anyone who does custom non-fur wigs?
i plan to have perfect eyes, a dream wig, one outfit, and one pair of shoes for each doll when they arrive. afterwards, i shall go crazy with the ordering. i'm getting larxene as the e-an + outfit option, so i really only need her shoes, the others i need everything for though. it's gonna be so fun to have them!! xD

I don't know of anyone reliable, who does custom non-fur wigs, unfortunately. Leeke, might have something with pink or red streaks though. I'll ask Rissa, if she knows where I could find a wig like that.
I'm not really bragging, so much as I'm excited that you get to order them soon. The Dream of Doll wait is shorter now, I think, but since you're ordering four dolls at once, it's really difficult to say.
Have you looked at Dollmore for shoes? They have really nice stuff for decent prices, including wigs, shoes, clothes, and dolls. :3

gaaaaaaaaah! i found the site that had the wig! ..but it's gone. X.x i also found a site that does do custom wigs, so i can get pretty much exactly what i saw at the other site xD huzzah!
i know you weren't bragging, hence the old-english xD i've heard the wait is shorter, but i'm expecting something a bit longer than your wait for ro. that way if it's quicker, i'm pleasantly surprised, and if it takesforever, i'm prepared.
i don't think i've checked dollmore yet. i've heard DOT feet are slightly larger than sd13 size, so i dunno what i'll get for the older two, but there are still tons of options for the kids. i'm so excited to be at this point xD

If you get Dollshe/Model sized shoes they'll fit the DOT feet. There's a girl locally who has a Hound and a DOT Camine or Lahoo, not sure which he is, and she buys Dollshe sized shoes for him.
Well hopefully that will work out well for you, and you'll get a wig you're happy with. What site is it? I'll let you know if it's one of the BAD ones.
Oh and if you're online right now, rather than waiting for me to see your post and reply, we could chat over Yahoo or AIM if you like.

i'd heard of that for the guy shoes, but i wasn't sure if it applied to girl shoes. i'm glad you have a dollyfriend nearby. i've just got stupid-annoying erin at work. X.x she got her hound muddy.. and he wears all white. ugh. it's this page. i'll probably send an e-mail saying what i'd like for a price quote sometime next week. i found it through DoA, but by all means, let me know what you think. and i'm online, but heading to bed as i have to get up and go to work tomorrow.. and saturday. but hey, overtime! xD more doll stuff!

Ooooh there was a HUGE wank over them. They had some issues with very poorly made wigs, and even sending out wigs completely different from what they showed the customers. They may be different now, but bear that in mind.
There is a pretty large Dallas doll community. You might see if you can make the local meetups.
I organize most of the south Virginia meetups, alternating with some of the other people. All my local friends are doll friends, and some of them are also Navy friends.
Like when I talk about Christy and Neil, they're doll people, who also happen to be Navy. Same for Rissa/Larisa, and Ti-chan. Rissa is a Navy wife, and Ti-chan is a Navy brat, who is gonna be our roommate sometime soon.
At most of the meetups we get between 10 and 30 people, depending on where we hold it. The Dallas meetups are supposed to be large-ish like that too. I know A-kon is having meetups as well. If you like I'll get the info for you. I know alot of really awesome people are gonna be there.
Oh, and I think I'm gonna start a thread for BJD talk, so that people who might wish to talk about other things, may do so.

X.x i've seen her in photos from at least three recent ones. and go you, being all responsible and organized. xD i figured as much, but you're still lucky. hence the lucky thing. 10 to 30 i could handle. anything larger and i'd prolly freak out. xD still i need to get around to hitting a con other than wizard world, which is fun, but there's less of the anime culture, so far less cosplay and no dolls that i've ever seen.. which really makes sense since it's a comic con and not an anime con. rolleyes

Well if you can't find pink faux hair, try getting colorless and dyeing it with like Manic Panic, or something. Go to Sally's Beauty Supply, and ask for a permanent pink. I know they exist, cause a girl on Den of Demons used it and it looks awesome.
Do you know what all kinds of dolls Erin has, or her DOA screen name? I'm trying to figure out if anyone else dislikes her as much as you do. XD;;
It's weird, I really do have great luck NOW. Never used to, but I'm very thankful for it. As for meeting doll friends who are awesome, it just seems like the attitude in general is more open and friendly here, than in Dallas.
I know exactly what you mean. The Con meetup at Katsucon (Washington DC) was HUGE. I'm kind of glad I couldn't go because I had pneumonia, because I'd have had panic attacks at the very least. emo Christy, who folds up (literally) when there are large groups of people, had to leave after a few minutes. She just couldn't handle that many people.

I've asked if anyone knows her from the dollmeets, but no one is sure. Oh and they're still working out the times and dates for the A-kon meetup, so I'll let you know, when I know.
