Yep, it was official. His chakra simply didn't like him today. Plane and simple. Releasing the seal, he clasped his hands together in fists very tightly. The underside of his skin, in his palm that is, began to turn red from the pressure before he let go. A deep heave and sigh left him. Genjutsu was never thi tough before. Why was it causing him so much annoyance and pain now? What was he doing wrong?
His eyes gazed toward the sky as he looked on for a long, silent moment. He felt a bit more...calm and rested by looking to the clear blue sky over Iwa. He prefered to simply see clear things and think of them as his thoughts. Clear and pure...nothing clouding or blocking his line of sight or vision...yes this was how it should be.
Looking back down to the cat, he noticed a grin crossing her lips again. Those thin black things that spoke such evil one moment and called such praised the next. Yes, those things that were so thin to be almost like toothpicks. Then he realized...cats don't have lips dumbass. He sighed at the thought and shook his head. He was getting annoyed and it was showing. Clasping his hands together in the rat seal again, he caught the gaze of the cat and began to try and put her under his spell.

The movement, the flow, the very feel of his chakra was entoxicating...least that how he wished someone woulddescribe it when he had performed a genjutsu on them. After all, it was a type of hillusination and thus, could be equally akin ot intoxication. What a tickling througt that was as it passed through his mind. He glared to the cat and noticed her smile begin to fade.
Slowly, little by little the smile began to vanish till the cat's face was a solem and sober as it had been at the beginning. Something was happening and he thought it was good. Looking over his shoulder, he made sure he wasn't being crept up on and there was nothing there. Looking back to the cat, he saw her blink a few times then shake her head as she stoped her paw into the ground...on a rock that ws nearby.
She was in a genjutus and just broke it. Looking up to the boy, a soft smile came to her mouth again. However, it was short lived as she barked out the order for him to do it again. With a yip, he clasped his hands again and began to focus once more.

Once more, his chakra moved through his body. He focused it up from his very depths of his body. It moved along the network, a strang and intangeble thing wthin his body. It flowed clearly and dutifully...to no known destination. Once again, he had forgotten the path the chakra was to take.
To be more exact, he hadn't forgotten it, more so he was looking for another path. He was trying ot emprovise without having the first clue what he was emprovising. A sigh left his lips again as he realized that his chakra was taking a wrong path. The release of the seal cause the chakra to move in a direction that it was meant to move. What a bother this was beginning to grow to be. A few deep breaths was all it took to calm his body and chakra down to normal levels.
A slight breather and his hands were back up in front of him. The seal of the rat was again established as he began to move the charka through his body and to his mind. It flowed along those same trails and toward his eyes. It was moving at monsterous rates to get to its destination...

High speed was right...it took all he had to keep the chakra rush from giving him another headache. There really was nothing worse than chakra enduced headaches,s pecially when you were trying to be evil. It was like karma coming back and bitting you in the head and not letting go till you cried uncle. What a b***h and a half to go through. He had had one chakra enduced headache today and didn't feel like having another if he could avoid it.
Taking one last moment of breath within himself he looked down to the cat. A synical glint filled her lips as she took a deep breath...a sigh it was. She was mocking him, almost demanding that he speed up this training. The smile she wore grew even more synister as she looked up to him. he was gonna make the cat pay for mocking him, that he was. He began to think of all the different evil images he could bring up to the cat and tried to picture her viewing each and every one of them. yes, he'd have his revenge alright.

Just not today apparently. Yep, not a chance for that at this time. what a huge bother this became. His chakra just wasn't working well with him it seemed. he growled deeply to himself as he staved off another charka headache. These pains still twinged within his brain but they subsided fairly quickly. Nothing major...yes...nothing major. he looked up for a moment and then sighed as he shook his head and then grasped his hands tightly. He began to think for a moment and let his mind wander....just wander.
His eyes began to glass over as it were as he glanced skywards again...he wanted just a moment to relax and take things into and of themselves. His mind was just too ripe with chakra at the moment...he had to give it time to cool down but it wouldn't take long...he then sighed once more and looked back forward to the cat.
The same smile...the same evil glint, that same cocky sitting position..yep, the cat was having fun with him. She was playing games with the boy and this was a fact. She was enjoying the boy and his failures at this. She never saw someone be so good at something one day and then so horrible at it the next. He was definitly getting annoyed and she loved that. Weird cat.
However, dispite her enjoyment of his pain, he was going to gain this one way or another. His body focused and his mind tensed...yep that right. He moved his chakra now through his body and to his mind for another attempt.

Maybe he should have tensed his body and focused his mind...or maybe it just wasn't his day to be trying this kind of thing. The cat laughed to herself in a maniacle hissing way. One of those truly skin boiling ways. He didn't appreciate this and the cat knew it. If she could get under his skin this easily, then he'd never be able to truly fight a shinobi of the world. There were shinobi that boasted one fighting style but had several tricks from several different areas under their sleves. He just hadn't come across that yet.
At best, Roy was peeved. At worst, he was pissed. He had to keep this up. He had to get his chakra to move correctly. Again, he began to focus is chakra through his body after applying the rat seal. He felt the chakra moving once more and this time, he tracked it very carefully within his body. Hell, he moved it at a slugs pace to make sure the crap moved at the right rate and time. He wouldn't tolerate too much more of this.

Yes...slowly the chakra built. The chakra moved through his body and flowed frm one point of pressure to another. It moved along the paths to his mind and through his mind with ease. He felt it move along the very tips and edges of his body. It was like a tingling sensation one would get when they are super excited about getting a present or just pleasently surprised. Whatever the feeling was, he had it now and it was intoxicating.
He held the seal for a few moments and looked to the cat. He searched her face for any and all signs that it had worked. Once more, the smile began to fade. The glint in ehr eyes began to disipate and the cat was overall not a happy camper. However, she was use to it this time. Her smile came back down to a normal face. her face itself was neautral for a moment before she shook her head and stomped her foot again. The focus was taken someplace else and she was out of the jutsu again. Looking ot the boy, she grinned again and looked on with a slightly happy smirk.
Looking the cat in the eyes, he reapplied the chakra and began to try again.

The power this cat exumed was great. After both successes, Roy couldn't even so much as bring remnents of the previous jutsu back to her mind. She had full control of her chakra at those moments and wasn't about to let it go to some amature like Roy. He could read her smile as such. She knew he was trying again but he wasn't doing it as well this time.
A growl crossed his lips as he looked off to the side. She was definatly stronger than him in this regard and he hated admiting things like that...well not really. Considering all he knew about her, he wasn't ashamed to admit her superiority over him. Although it was a bit odd considering she was a cat.
Letting things slip past his mind, he moved again to form the rat seal. His chakra had calmed and he was hoping her's was as well. He applied his handseal and began to move the charka through his body once more.

This was too close...too damn close. Not for the cat obviously, for Roy. He felt his chakra flowing quite calmly through his body...too calmly...actually it wasn't move very well at all. He had only grasped a bit of his chakra that time. Only the bit that was already near his mind. That wasn't enough to do didly with and he had to stop once more and let even that little bit return and flow naturally again.
The cat was light up with a grin as she looked on to the boy. His difficulty was her joy. She was having way too much fun with all this. Her pleasure was something he hated to see at times like this. If only he could get it down a bit more. If only he could figure out what was wrong with his chakra. Maybe he wasn't having a good day today. that was always possible but he wished his body would just cooperate.
Releasing the seal again and then reapplying it. He was able to do this without looking obviously but his body had become almsot like a robot witht hat seal at this point. he was sick of it.

He fell to his knees and panted deeply. His head was ringing with damn pain again. The chakra headache was back with a vengence. It was pounding through his head and down his spine as his chakra moved back to its normal flow. It was like a pressure on his body at those points it passed by. What a friggin annoyance this was becoming. Heaving and dizzy, he took a seat but only for a moment. he wasn't anywhere near done.
Looking up a bit looked over ot the grinning chesser cat...maybe that'd be a good name for her...no she was too damn synical to be related to the happier chesser cat. A shake of the head was all that followed his thought. He gave no hint on his face as to what he was thinking. He only stood back up and rubbed his temples again. A deep sigh left his body and his lips and he again looked ot the cat whom was, at the moment, licking her arms and paws as if bored. Of all the insolent little..

Anger was never a good thing for him...wiat...yes it was...sometimes. It wasn't right now but it had its moments. This just wasn't one of them. Again, the chakra moved through his body but it just didn't complete its trip. At no fault of his own however. He was trying his best but it simply wasn't coming. He wasn't carrying it the way it needed to be carried or something. At whatever rate or for whatever reason, he wasn't getting this genjutsu at the least.
The frustration was evident in his eyes. He couldn't believe the annoying force that was standing in front of him. Etna was having a ball of this. She had taken to rolling on her back as a normal cat would when it wished it's belly rubbed. Of course, etna was far from normal. SHe hissingly laughed at him again. He wanted to punt the little furball halfway down the mountain but he knew he'd have a pissed p***y and an angrey weeiner after him if he did it. So without much more in that area of distraction, he applied his chakra once mroe and focused deeply on the cat.

The fun and games were over for the cat for the time being. She stoped instantly as she looked up to him. She slowly rolled onto her paws and glanced up at the boy. Her smile again fading into the blackness of her fur. She sat there solumly once more...looking the boy in the eyes. She dare not look away nor look to see what was going on. She simply stamped her paw to the ground again and shook her head. Yes...that was the trick she was using. Focusing on a pain and looking elsewhere.
Roy grinned this time. He deserved it after so much annoyance and pain he had suffered. Granted, his life was destined to be filled with far moe but for now, he hated what he got. He would just take things one step at a time. So far, he was far from learning the jutsu but he was still on his way.
Taking a deep breath, he looked over to the cat once more. His eyes glancing into her crimson soul sucking irises. Her smile returned as he lost his glance into ehr eyes. But he left it there, left it lost within hers as he applied the charka again.

Almost but no cigar this time. His body was reacting properly but just as he had deduced, the cat's defenses directly after a successful attempt were simply too high at that moment. He felt the jutsu activating within his body...but it didn't do anything. He studied the cats face to see if anything had happened but nothing...her face was as calm and cool as ever. He gruffed to himself and looked to the cat who had her smile back.
It was an annoyance to watch the cat grin as if her world was nothing but roses and daisys. What a bother and a half this was becoming. Looking off to the side, he let his body rest for but a moment. His gaze eventually found its way back to the cats eyes and he tried once mroe to apply the charka to her. He would have his revenge on the cat.

Just not at this time. It wasn't somethinghe was enjoying very much. This damn cat was getting into his mind and pushing through to his phycy. not realy but it was still a damn pain to deal with. He stepped back a bit and looked to the cat...his body was a bit too tense and he couldn't really gather his thoughts around what was wrong with this damn jutsu...was the cat really applying all her focus or was she messing with him the whole time? He stretched a bit and growled as he looked to ehr. Taking a deep breath, he clasped his hands together and began the seal again.
His chakra began to focus and rush through his body. He grasped each and all his focus upon the cat and began to focus on her deeply.

Shinku sat and watched as Roy trained his butt off. Every now and then he would shoot a glare at the damn cat, but it wouldn't do anything... it just felt good to take out a bit of anger at it. "So Roy... what exactly is this jutsu you are learning...?" Semi-bored, Shinku wanted to start up some sort of canversation... hopefully he wouldn't get verbally attacked... again...
