K was given a room to stay in and headed upstairs to look around. However, he couldnt seem to find his room. As he wandered through the hallways looking for some indication of his room he noticed a knight peering through the door of a room. "Excuse me" he said, tapping the knight of the shoulder "but i just got here and was wondering if you could help me find my room?" He smiled pleasently and waoted for the knights reply.

"General Cyrus wants you at the castle. He didn't give me a reason but he wanted you before tomorrow," Cain explained as quietly as he could, leaning in gently so only the archer could hear his murmured directions. "I didn't know...you knew hi-" Calix cut off the knight with a shake of his head, signaling for him to cease their conversation for the moment.

"We'll finish this later," the archer murmured in a low tone, slipping something to the young knight before once more closing the door to his room cautiously.

The dark haired knight was completely taken aback by the other's actions- that is, until he was tapped on the shoulder by...Turning around, the dark-eyed knight arched a brow, by some sort of priest. Or possibly a cleric. Cain wasn't exactly sure. All he knew was that this man was not of the fire nation.

Blinking several times at the question, Cain bit his lower lip, brows still quite furrowed, "Did the innkeeper...give you a number?" He asked, glancing down the hallway for a moment before looking back at the other male.

Haar eyed the teen anciously, "She...you'd think you would have more credibility than some foreigner," he said with a faint frown. Eventually shrugging, the young commander sighed, "Oh well, it's fine, as long as she believes me I can deal with it."

He didn't know why he was so nervous about saying anything if he was questioned. He supposed he wasn't the best liar when it came to personal issues, he just ended to spill if he was pushed to a certain limit...and that fear of sputtering out what was reality concerned him. But that wouldn't happen...this was supposed to be some formal get-together, not an interrogation.

He should have fun with this. It wasn't everyday he had the chance to have some sort of relationship with anyone, even if it was a fake one. With an almost sly grin, the brown haired male continued in a much less apprehensive voice, "This should be amusing."

Alti shrugged. "Guess I've lied to her so much that she just doesn't listen any more," he said slowly. "Or perhaps I'm just not a good liar," he murmured with a small smile. Of course, the latter wasn't true. He had always been very good at lying... which was probably why his mother had no trust in him.

"But she doesn't know you and she'll be utterly taken with you... since you're wearing that," he said, gesturing to the other's borrowed clothes. "She only makes people wear Dad's clothes when she had high expectations of them..."

"Yes, number 4, but either the rooms arent numbered or mine fell off because I cant seem to find it anywhere." K smiled even though he could tell the toher was somewhat distressed. He seemed to be from the Fir Kingdom, and possibly a good source of information.

"And you wonder why I asked you to stop lying to me. It's not only because I find it highly offensive, but I'm horrible at figuring out when people are actually lying. The generals tell me I'm supposedly inherently trustworthy, which has gotten me in trouble more than once," the young commander murmured, red eyes focused on the grain of the long, beautifully crafted table.

After hearing the rest of Alti's comments, Haar turned to him with a half smile, "You have a way with words, my dear boy," he said in a soft tone, eyes narrowing before he continued, "Somehow, no matter what you say, it makes me more anxious than before," he said in a pleasant voice. "I guess I'll just have to be on my best behaviour. When in this whole thing starting anyway? I'm actually starting to get hungry," he muttered, eyeing the door suspiciously.

Cain glanced at the archer's door for a moment. It too was unmarked, much lke the rest of the doors. "Odd numbers are on the right, even are on the left. I suppose you'll have to start from the beginning to find your room," he suggested with a faint smile. "Good luck on your quest," the knight murmured in an almosr dramatic tone as he patted the light native on the shoulder.

"I assume they start the level below, but I'm not positive. If you still can't seem to find it, ask the old man to take you to your room," Cain added, letting his hand fall back to his side, slipping the piece of paper Calix had handed him into his pocket as indiscreetly as possible.

"Thanks for the assistance. Would you perhaps crae to join me for some tea? I know it may seem weird but i'd like to know more about this city and you seem like someone who would know things." K's eyes moved for a second to the piece of paper being discretely moved to the man's pocket. Why the secrecy? he thought. "Oh, by the way, you can call me K"

Alti smiled. "Don't get worked up... I was only kidding. She only puts Dad's clothes on people when the color scheme seems to work... she has this whole material thing where looks come before whatever it is she's planning. She can't get anything accomplished until everything is pretty," he explained with a small grin. "...Which is why dinner is always late and my room looks like a girl's."

Of course, Allora chose that time to stride through the doors, overflowing with (fan)girlish glee. Her eyes immidiately fixed on Haar and her smile widened into one of untold glee. She rushed over to the commander, eyes traveling over his figure.

"Ahhh... you look marvelous in this jacket.... The color is just right - I knew a deep red would suit you best. Rarely anyone in our parts can really wear red, but my dear was quite the... Well, nevermind what he was.... The point is, you look lovely." She continued to run over the various points of the outfit - everything from the pants to the very small gold chain that was supposed to be connected to a pocket watch, which had vanished some time ago, and down to the trim on the cuffs of the jacket. She was practically raving.

She slowed down for a moment and then glanced over to her son. She paused for a moment, looking him over, before saying, "Alti, comb your hair.... and stop messing with the hem of the shirt. It looks much better untorn." Alti rolled his eyes towards the ceiling and muttered something under his breath that was too quiet to be heard. Allora frowned for a moment before her vivid smile washed over her features once again. "But you do look nice." Alti scowled, eyes remaining fixedly on the floor.

[[HAHA. I love Allora so much. XD]]

Haar scowled lightly, "Are you saying I'm pr-"

He was instantly cut off by Alti's mother making a rather squealy fuss over his borrowed outfit. He attempted to respond, if not agree, with the woman, but ended up only nodding with a nervous grin. Allora spoke too fast for him to get anything in edge-wise.

After she had taken a long breath (most likely to replenish her oxygen-deprived brain) Haar continued with a half smile, "Well, thank you for letting me borrow them. You obviously have an excellent amount of taste~" It didn't hurt to suck up to the woman who was taking care of you. Maybe she'd let him go home a few days early if he kept this up... Noting the teen's annoyed expression, Haar frowned. He supposed it was only wishful thinking, there was no way in hell the healer would let him leave before she deemed he was fit.

Allora beamed at Haar. "Why, thank you, dear... it's good to know someone appriciates my efforts," she said with heavy imphasis as she shot a small, slightly annoyed glance at Alti, who seemed to be now quite annoyed. Allora's endless jabbering always did that to him.

After a moment or two of silence, Allora clapped her hands togethe suddenly. "Right. Time for dinner. Originally, I had planned for a full-scale dinner party in order to celebrate the two of you-" she paused for a moment the smile at them before continuing "- but I decided a small dinner with the three of us would be much more personal... So our guests have agreed to eat in the large dining hall while we take our meal to the small quarters."

Alti looked up at this, a surprised expression on his features. "Wait, wha--?" he began, but he was cut off as his mother made a 'shhhh'ing gesture with a heavy glance at Haar. Alti scowled slightly and settled back down in his chair.

"Come one, now, you two," she said, smiling broadly. "Time for dinner!"

Alti got up with a slightly peeved look and shot Haar a glance that clearly said 'brace yourself.'

They followed Allora out of the large sitting room and down a hallway for quite some time until they stopped at a small, but ornate door made of mahoganny. She opened it to reveal not so much a room, but more of a botanical masterpeice. The entire space was decked with pale purple and blue flowers that emitted dreamy, sleepy sorts of aromas. Alti wrinkled his nose and sneezed before entering and sitting down at the small (small compared to the full table of the dining hall) table, looking grumpy.

Haar had not wanted to talk in the first place. He had figured he could have gotten away with speaking minimally if guests would be chattering away as well, but...but a meal with Allora? Alone?

The young commander currently had a placed pressed against the small of Alti's back-- well, more or less, clutching at the boy's shirt, as if he was trying, by any mean possible, to not allow the teen to guide him any further towards impending doom.

Wincing as he entered the room, Haar rubbed at the scar under his eye nervously as he eyed the small table. Why did his life have to be so utterly stressful? Why?

[[Cheer up Char-... Anyway, I have to go. Tootles. >w>;;]]

Cain almost grimaced. Although he wasn't someone who detested helping others, he had to speak to Calix before he left for the capital... He also needed to be heading home, well the castle anyway to check on a certain soldier who he found himself worrying over a little too much for his own good.

Brushing a hand through dark brown hair, the knight nodded slightly, "A quick cup wouldn't hurt I suppose. I am needing to leave within the hour though," he murmured, not giving a name for K to call him.

"Okay then, let me just look around for what they have here" K said pleasantly. He was excited to be in a city that wasnt his own, and even better off to be talking to a local. He browsed the cubbards of his room and found a kettle and starting boiling the water, taking some tea leaves out of his pack. "These leaves are only grown in the Kingdom of Light, and have some restorative powers. Oh, i'm sorry, what was your name?" he asked. K had just realized that he didnt even know who this person was. His training had taught him to be kind to anyone, so he didnt really care, but he thought he should be polite and ask.

Leaning against the wall adjacent to the stove, the knight fiddled with the few weapons strapped to his waist before returning them to their proper places once the questioning started. Looking up, dark grey-brown eyes seeking out the foreigner, Cain quirked one brow at the mention of the light nation. This K person was far away from home, or so it seemed.

"My name's Cain. What brings you to the Fire kingdom, anyway?" He asked, letting his hands rest against his sides lightly.

"Well, in the Kingdom of Light, those who choose the path of The Light make a traditional journey across the land when they turn 18. We do it so we can explore our land and learn about others cultures while spreading The Light and the words of The Divine. I just happened to come here" K replied, happy that someone took intrest in his journey. "Tea's ready" he said, placing two cups on the table.
