Oh my poor Nien. *hugs* I am guilty of being an a** sometimes too. I repeat things my g/f or other people say, just to see if they knew what they actually said. I knew what they meant of course but I say silly stuff without realising it too. I am sure most of us do. I know you take your mistakes quite seriously (by mistakes I mean when things don't go quite as you plan, not really mistakes) Try to remember to not let the little things get to you. I know teasing can hurt after a while too so try to gently let him know if it hurts and see if he realises he is hurting you. He might say you are just being silly or something but hopefully he'll realise it and not want to hurt you like that.

You're absolutely right about most of what you say. The mods and myself haven't been around as much to intervine but we were certainly trying to discourage people making entires posts for no good reason. We're also far over due for a clean up. I'm going on vacation in a few days but when I get back I do plan on going through and wiping the majority of the topics that haven't been used in forever.

I still think a casual conversation thread wouldn't hurt to try at that point. If it fails then I can kill it later. The hangout is predominently chatterboxy though so I thought it may help increase general activity if people didn't feel like when they try to post something of interest they either can't find a specific topic in existence, feel like making a whole new thread for some of the less important thoughts is frowned upon and that in the hangout they don't get much attention because it's usually washed away before anyone really sees it. I've had it brought up to me a few times. Not often. Just an occassional mention. So I'm gonna give it a shot. The hangout will remain what it is. I won't ask anyone to change the format but I will make a new casual chat thread where emote chains and pointless banter will be discouraged.

On a side note I've recently tried joining a few more guilds to get an idea of how other guilds operate. I know we seem dead in here and people complain about the lack of activity... but man... I checked out 8 guilds and only 1 of them seemed to compete with us for both activity and quality v. quantity. So I was happy about that. Just thought someone might be interested.

That is, of course, assuming the mods would/could keep up with that sort of thing. surprised I think perhaps once a month would be sufficient without creating too much extra work for people. .-.

The typical policy for thread deletion is to lock it and then give a week before final removal. the threads applicable are usually the pointless ones and the ones that have had no activity for over a month. (excluding certain archive ones like the post your voice thread which aren't expected constant usage but still are good when people use them.) Normally in the event of a questionable deletion we would send a PM to the starter as notification for attempt to appeal.

I'm also thinking of adding another active Mod to aid Nin since Rags has been away for a spell (although visiting intermittently) and I'll be away for a couple of weeks myself.
