Tres needs to encounter Ertai in Sigil and let him become corrupted. Then he and I can work on a whole new dynamic of power for Tres. Give him some concussive blasts but with crystal shrapnel. Some counter frequency abilities to combat sonic users.

Contingencies, I'm a prepared fighter, my character is prepared. Ertai from an IC stand point has pretty much fought any form of fighter you can imagine. The D&D Characters, Anime rip offs, Science, Spiritualists, Elementalist, The thousands of forms of Magic users, etc etc etc. He comes prepared and I personally try to dictate the flow of combat, very precise and thought out actions. I try to at a competitive stand point ( my flaw ) to map out possibilities of defenses and counters to anything I do and map you into a dead lock. Then when your character can't logically get out of what it is I set up, you're ********.

Now that being said- I am way more than willing to go with the flow and will play Ertai as rash, so even as I think of these set ups, I will change and accommodate great scene ideas for the sake of a good read. Win or lose I will try to make it the best fight I can make it- I treat each legit fight as if it was my last. So I will give it my all in every form, including competitiveness.

I might dislike some people and some characters, but when it comes down to it I will always RP unbiased IC. I will play my character and you play yours. "Off the field" s**t stays in the OOC and not IC.

Yeah, that's one thing that people need to have beaten out of them early on if they're going to develop at all. I can't tell you how many people I had fights with back in like 2003-2004 that would try to escape from things by "backflipping away".

Once someone gets slammed in the back of the head while upside-down in the air they tend to stop doing that.

Unnecessary acrobatics may be showy, but they're hardly a tactical movement. A somersault or dive can be a fast way to escape from something if you're really in a tight spot but you start your next post on the ground which is why you definitely do not want to do it if you have other options.

Yeah that. Apparently by "somersault" I meant "dive and roll".

But yeah, unless you can jump like 20 feet without a running start it's not really something that you want to make use of in close combat regardless of what the media may try to make you believe.

Flashy, yes. Practical, no.
