The first time she'd been here, she'd died to a piano.
The second time, a massive beam had fallen on her head, and she'd had to stumble her way down the corridor, where a case full of splinters had lodged in her hands.
Naturally, she expected good things from this visit.
Surprisingly, optimism was at the moment a completely acceptable point of view: She made it across without any danger to herself.

She could never seem to shoot the damn thing at first. She squinted into darkness, and fired off some shots. Apparently those shots were dead on, and she managed to actually rain bullets down on the unsuspecting (?) whatever it was that inhabited abandoned hotel bedrooms.
Time to try her luck in the parlour.

The door was locked, as per usual. Raumias sat down at the piano, brushed her fingers across the keys so lightly that they wouldn't make a sound; it was almost tender, the way she touched them.

She waited a moment, as if fearing the worst, before realizing that nothing at all had happened. It was, oddly enough, a relief.
Her fingers slipped, she played the worst sound imaginable, and everything went dark.
