Miyuki smiled, it sounded like Andarien had the possibility of getting what he wanted.

"Speaking of which... I wonder where they are?"

She thought about this, not knowing Lin had decided that they (as in her and Earendil) should follow the two. Really, she didn't mind, it was fun sharing street food with Earendil (and sweets) and it was like her youth.

Back when she was young, and foolish and perhaps a bit nuts on the hobby scale.

"I guess we should probably look for them," Andarien realized, a bit sadly. He was having fun with Miyuki.

Earendil was enjoying his time with Lin, too. He couldn't really remember doing anything like this before. It was a bit amusing to follow their children, watching them from a distance.

"You know, I think this was a good idea of yours," he admitted to Lin with a smile. "Have they ever really spent time like this together? And it seems to be going well."

"I think the better question is, have they ever really spent time doing something that didn't involve learning," Lin replied dryly, "Miyuki is only a bit better than Andarien because she has friends her age, and Andarien is only a bit better than Shiro because he's not going to take on requests from other people any time soon."

The other thing Lin had noticed after a while was that Miyuki was like her, outside of friends there was only learning to be had. Anderian was reminding her of Shiro though and she wasn't sure what to think about that. She sort of wished they had hobbies outside of their work.

Meanwhile, back in the shop, Miyuki looked thoughtful, "I have no clue how we'll do that. Really mother would have a better chance of finding us."

Since she could fly and see from above.

"I think it's safe to say that neither of them has really done anything that doesn't involve learning," Earendil mused. "Especially not together."

He smiled. "Shall we grab them again once they come out of the jeweler's?" he asked Lin. "I must admit I'm a bit curious to know exactly what's going on in there."

Though he supposed they would find out eventually anyways.

That suited Andarien just fine. "Then let's just keep looking around," he grinned. "Nana and Ada will find us eventually."

He turned and waved to the jeweler. "Thanks again! See you later!" he called as he headed towards the door.

The man smiled and bowed deeply. "I look forward to it," he replied sincerely.

"Sure," Lin murmured with a grin, "Wouldn't want them to worry. I didn't tell them where or when to meet up again."

So, it would be daunting for the two to find them on their own.

"Have a good day,"
Miyuki added as she followed her brother out of the shop.

As Andarien and Miyuki stepped out of the shop, Earendil nodded and finished off the fruit he was eating. "There they are," he murmured. He held one hand out to Lin and smiled warmly at her. It was time to collect their children back again.

Andarien held the door for Miyuki and let it close behind the two of them.

"What should we do now?" he asked her, tucking his paper back into his pocket.

"I have no clue...." Miyuki thought about it for a good long while.

They had been to the metal smith and she was sure they had taken a peek into the wood smith and of course they saw the glass smith. She supposed they could take a peek into the tailor's but they rarely had things in stock, but she wanted to get some knowledge on different clothing.

Though she already suggested where they would go last time.

During all this thinking, she didn't notice their parents coming up behind them. Lin chuckled a bit.

"Did you two have fun?"

Andarien just about jumped out of his skin when Lin spoke up so suddenly, and he whirled around, his eyes wide behind his goggles.

"Nana!" he exclaimed, half excited and half pouting. "You scared me!"

Earendil chuckled softly and put one hand on Andarien's head. "I don't think she meant to. But did you two enjoy yourselves?"

Andarien nodded energetically. "We had a yummy lunch and then we talked to the music lady and Lancaeriel came and then we went to the jeweler's and Nana he said he'll help me with the parts that I need but it would cost quite a bit but he said he might do it for free if I let him use the design to make his own stuff too and he said I should talk to you about it and-"

He ran out of breath and inhaled deeply before leaning closer and finishing his speech.

"-and is that okay?" he asked, his eyes wide.

Lin blinked at all that, of course it wasn't a surprise they didn't know the full details. To give the two privacy they had stayed outside of the shops and at a distance.

"When he said to use the designs in his own stuff, you mean like... steampunk jewelery?"

The fun thing about having Helen choose clothing for her son and buying gears for her son was learning about the subculture known as steampunk. That being said the name didn't translate all that well and she said it in Gaian since there was no word for 'punk'.

Andarien gave Lin a funny look. "No, silly! To make timepieces and gear stuff! Like my music egg!"

He was more aware now than ever of the Sky Elves' complete lack of gears and personally he had no problem with the man using the technology in his work. After all, Andarien himself hadn't invented the gears in the first place. So what did it matter?

"Ah... I see," Lin chuckled, "Well..."

She glanced over at Earendil before looking back at Andarien, because she wasn't sure what he thought of it.

"That is really up to you I think. I have no issues with you taking on the project, and whether or not you want to share the technology is really your choice."

"Well it's not even mine!" Andarien protested. "It wouldn't be fair not to let others use it! I had to learn it from someone else first, too!"

Earendil chuckled and put one hand on Andarien's shoulder. "Then do you want to go back and talk to the jeweler again?" he asked, amused.

Andarien bit his lip and looked around at the others. He did want to go back, very badly; but what would his family do while he was in there doing what he wanted to do? He didn't want them to be bored ...

On the other hand, he had no idea how long they were going to be in this country, or how long it would take to make the parts and make sure that the whole thing worked. The more time he gave the jeweler to do the work, the better, really.

"We can wait for a while," Miyuki told him, "And we're right outside the shop anyways."

There was little point in waiting, sure they would maybe come back when Shiro and Naida took a trip with their instruments (Miyuki was still interested in it), but that might not be for a while yet.

Andarien smiled widely, and he nodded his head vigorously. "Then yes, I want to go talk to him again!" he exclaimed; and he turned around and ran back towards the shop, making sure to slow down before he went inside.

Earendil laughed. "I don't know if he was even this excited when he got his goggles," he chuckled to Lin. "Or his gear kits."

Lin couldn't help but chuckle at that thought.

"I don't think so neither, but he's really eager to get his project started,"
Lin hummed a bit, "I just hope that it doesn't end up being the only thing he does while he's here...."

Miyuki, "Well... we were hoping to explore the island a bit, the places where there isn't any city, just nature."
