"Oh, it's coming. We usually get a few seconds to orient ourselves..." A giant blue wall that really didn't fit in separated the two. "See?!" Kai shouted so Devon could hear him. "Looks like we have to take on our own baddie! Don't lose!"

A space in front of Devon shivered, and a person stepped out of the shadows....it was Kai, grinning. "Let's see who I was taken out of the database to beat up...oh! Devon?! Cool..." Kai pulled out his sword and started skating around Devon.

Kai laughed and let the katana get taken away. "You know, that's poor logic. I killed shadows easily enough before the sword, and I still practice my skating kung-fu every day, facts you would know if you paid attention to your damn friends!" Kai skated in quickly and kicked at Devon's head.

"Only about how bad a friend you are." Kai tossed up his other leg and caught it around Devon's neck, then he swung his body down and towards Devon, tossing him, and landing on the floor himself. Kai chuckled. "Wrestling move. Made it work for my needs."
