Ako knew Gidget was right, but that didn't change the way he felt. The words kept ringing in his head. "I can't do this, I killed someone last time. I killed someone, I know it." How could he use his power knowing that? Especially on another of Gidget's creations?

He tried to get past this mental block, tried to change his mindset. Maybe the person he thought he killed got lucky; people survived lightning strikes all the time. If not, maybe it was the person who clipped Tansy's wings. While he thought, his hands went to his bandages. If his power got hot enough to heat metal, having gauze and paper medical tape wrapped around his wrists likely wouldn't be a good idea. With two quick movements, he ripped them off, exposing the burns. They weren't bad as far as burns went, just two button-sized second-degree spots on each wrist, but the cause behind them still haunted him.

"Can you really do that?" He asked Trinity as he walked over to the table next to the machine.

Gidget's huffing is interrupted by her sudden plunge into the shadow realm. Before she has a chance to protest or shout out she is looking back in the R&D lab. She stumbles a bit and falls back on her rear. "Holy crap! Is that what you and Freya go through every time you do that?"

Ako's eyes widened a bit, but after seeing this many people with powers, one with teleportation didn't surprise him enough to warrant words of astonishment. "I didn't need a demonstration, I would have taken your word for it." He said as he picked up the Tesla Cannon.

Ako sighed, turning the Cannon over in his hands, passing his eyes over the details. "No, but I'm going to anyway."

Tansy tried to smile reasuringly at Ako from where she stood. Trying to let him know that it was okay. She didn't quite understand what was wrong with him, but she wasn't really one to talk about things like that. Because... well... she wasn't quite sure what was going on with herself either. Nothing seemed to make sense any more, and the only thing she wanted was for everyone to be happy again like they had been in the pent house. If it hadn't been for her, Charles Ray would have never met Gigdet, and then he would have never abused her powers, and her friends would have never had to kill anyone.... She should have just staid dead...

Ako didn't say anything at first, didn't even look over to them. He took another deep breath, trying to calm his shaking nerves, and put his hand on the handle of the cannon. "Just make sure everything is ready. I want to get this over with quickly." He said, feeding a little juice into the cannon as he took a few steps to a good firing position.

He could feel the cannon's circuits come alive and emit a low hum before the Jacob's ladder began to spark. The arc was weak at first, wavering with Ako's nerves. He tightened his grip, trying to think about attacking an enemy, someone who deserved it. He thought back to Charles Ray, and how he wished he could have fried the man himself. The arc steadied and grew stronger, the hum becoming a buzz. "Tell me when to fire." He said, taking aim at the center mass of Gidget's machine.

Tansy quickly moved behind the shield that Gigdet had mentioned and looked out at Ako smiling. Trying to help him feel better, although she knew she couldn't. She hated herself for that, but she smiled anyways, because she knew she had to.
