I will never let you fall... Lightning sighed. She still felt it, but it was getting fuzzy. Hopefully, whoever it was had looked away. This little costume of hers had emboldened her quite a bit, so she wouldn't be surprised if she found herself contemplating the act of clawing out the eyes of the offender. At least this crazy instinctive feeling would disappear.
"Hello, Skutz," she said. "I still can't believe that you're suddenly a girl. So, how do you feel about this?" Lightning restrained herself from groaning at her last statement and quickly took another sip of tea. ...I'll stand up with you forever.

"Hmm," Zach started when Emma approached. "Oh, hi Emma. Yeah, thanks. You were looking pretty happy when I came in earlier. Something about a duet."

The memory of the earlier conversation with the Lieutenant was enough to push the thought of darker magics from her mind. For now, at least.

"Eh," Skutz started, "it was weird at the beginning, but I got used to it, mostly..." She trailed off, the difference in emotions was the only thing that gave him trouble. "But all in all, I'm fine with it. I'm supposed to find a cure for the changes in gender and other things, but I've been shirking the responsibility for other things. Enough about me, how have you been?" Skutz blushed at herself, but hid most of the embarrassment, "Barkeep, ice water please."

David began to grow bored. He heaved a big sigh. He had come to this planet hoping to make some money, but he hadn't gotten much business.
He folded up the paper and finished his beer. David left a few coins on the counter and left the tavern, feeling a bit frustrated.

"That's pretty cool," Zach smiled and tried not to show the pain she was feeling in her skull. Ivan was practically howling in paranoia about the she-elf. He had expected them to be blasted by her long before now.

I will never let you fall... "I've been alright," replied Lightning, "but it could be better. Falling down the stairs is painful, so let me advise you never to attempt to run down them in heels. You'd much rather be tardy than suffer a concussion, which I thankfully did not contract. Also, don't trust people too much, especially those that tell on you for eating candy in class-" Lightning stopped herself. She was rambling, and rambling was definitely not fun to listen to.
Lightning quickly slid her eyes back over to the guy in the green coat, who was now leaving. Part of her was kind of sad that he left, because it made the tavern just that much emptier. "Bye," she whispered behind the leaving man. ...I'll stand up with you forever.

Grey walked into the bar, boots clumping on the floor as he walked. He tried to act as smooth as possible, but this failed when he tripped over a bar stool. "Yo Barkeep, how about a coffee?" He stood up, felt around for the fallen stool, and righted it before sitting.

Ivan's howling finally breached Emma's mental walls, and the shout echoed in her head as well. But, she pretended to not to hear it.
"It is...anything interesting with you?"
Besides, if she was going to do something nasty, she would have already.

Skutz giggled at Q's fails, "L.A., you shouldn't let opportunities slip you by," she says alluding to David, "but, don't get a hurry, just take your time." Skutz turned to Question, "having troubles, are we?" she asked with a playful tone.

Why hasn't she attacked... tell her, then.
"Well..." Zach let it hang there for a moment before proceeding cautiously. "Ivan and I have been working on a way to give him a body of his own. Sort of. I mean, we're still connected but he could be able to do one thing while I do another, y'know?"

"Troubles, what troubles?" He shook his head, denoting the fact that he was blindfolded. "I'm... drunk? Can't keep my balance?" He honestly didn't get affected like that from alcohol due to his ability to adapt. "As for the wrap, it's a... a visor to keep my eyes from being hurt by light. I had eye drops put on, and I need to not look at light sources." He sipped his coffee nervously.

I will never let you fall... "Opportunities? I don't know, Skutzy, about a guy who's constantly surrounded by buzzing insects. It's just not healthy," Lightning replied, waving off a stray mosquito. She looked over at Question, and swiftly corrected herself. "Grey!" she shouted, "Is that a blindfold?" Lightning pulled it off of him with a fluid motion and replaced the blindfold with a nice pair of sunglasses. "There." ...I'll stand up with you forever.
